The knockoff brand Hyrax we experienced same exact results even swapping the foams out to soft didn't increase the grip, its the compound they mold them in its a little stiffer. Great video Neo! Iove this coarse! Also we have found the Injora tires in the S5 compound is actually pretty close to the Proline tires. My Injora pins have been the best we've tested so far with the Hyrax coming in right about same in predator compound. We've figured your better off just foing predator from the get go and skipping the G8 even especially for coarse comp style runs. Ive gotten a year on my predator Hyrax ans they are still killing it without abnormal wear, just keep cleaning them in simple green to keep the embedded dirt out of the compound seems to work best for us.

I didn’t see the injora hyrax in any other compound but to be honest, I really didn’t look that close. At the time, just wanted anything better than the crap stock tires lol. The prolines I’ve been buying are all predator compound, I bought the G8 to try, no other reason than that lol same with the JConcepts tires.
@@NEO-RC I'm not sure what Injora offers in that S5, I using there scale 1.55 tires in the S5 and they worked absolutely fantastic. They may not offer much in the larger 1.9, but I always make sure I see that S5 on anything Injora when I buy now. Just figured I'd drop that info to ya Rc brother. I feel ya on the stock Axial tires they all seem like they are way to stiff to me. From our experience it seems Vanquish and the Traxxas Canyon trails seem to be top performers in the RTR side of tires or what we've ran anyhow. That Capra is looking so sick man great job on it.

The megaliths are probably the best tire I’ve ran, you’ll absolutely love those if you’ve never had a set before. Never tried the yzzr inserts but have seen several videos of people using them and they seem really good. I heard they’re pretty hard to get and I’ve been really happy with the SL3D inserts.

Nice it’s funny the Capras have this sound like a clock running when climbing mine has the same sound. I was curious if you used the link extender kit to make it longer so it sits lower when you put 2.2’s on it. Mine sat too tall stock with 2.2’s so I had to get the Injora high clearance extender link kit so it sat properly with 2.2’s.
I did buy the injora link set for the Capra but I haven’t put it on yet. That’ll be in the next round of upgrades along with front portal overdrive gears and shocks. Though I kinda like the stock shocks.
@@NEO-RC Awesome it’s cheap & it’s kind of a game changer I’ve taken videos of mine before & after & you can clearly see how different it sits much lower now & now the 2.2’s don’t look like ballon’s on it.😂 The driveshaft has to be lengthened as well but it’s simple the front & rear have two different size center shafts one is bigger then the other so I used the longer one where it was short & happen to have another long shaft & put that in so far it’s been good it fell out one time but I’ve been running it through some tuff areas where you get wedged & bound up & are really pushing it. I’m telling you that body looks very good my stock panels are coved with different stickers but really wanted to buy Vitabon Carbon body panels they look amazing but are pricey & after seeing yours maybe I’ll look into something like that. I don’t mind the way it looks it just gets old looking at the same panels everyone has. I did find some Carbon wrap on Amazon that looks really good & goes on very easy it kind of has a stretch feel to it but I’ve already used it on other RC’s & being the panels come off it would be easy to wrap. I was curious if you have the UTB also I have one the Baby Capra 😂 with a Furitek system in it with a bunch of upgrades & it is a blast to run. 👍

In my experience so far knock offs never as good. They can be ok but when you try some tech climb they don’t grip right I def like my 2.2 hyrax they are a great tire. Not as good as ruptures, better than swampers, and slingers….those j concepts looks so nice there. For scale I love the swampers and proline series for most part but those scorpios lol aick

They did better than I thought they would. Seem really good in dry conditions. Mud might be a problem with the scorpios but we’ll see.

Yes sir I did. Also built another course down by the lake about 50 yards away. Both really aren’t much but will be adding to it.
