Thanks Brent, I should have started with 40wt oil but they did really good and no leaks so far. I did break the shocks all the way down and used good o-ring grease before installing. Hopefully they last a while.
@@AdventureTimeRC dually noted, I used the 1UP brand and it’s the only I’ve tried so far. I’ll try the team associated. They been around a long time so they probably have the better o-ring grease. Thanks!
Is there anything you don't have on it.😂 It's like the ultimate adventure Jeep. I haven't gotten one yet but eventually I'll get one I liked it the first time I saw it. Nice build.
lol yeah I have a few accessories 😂 @MidwestRCcrawler has me beat though. He has the red one and it’s really decked out. That CJ has to be one of axials best. If it had portals it’d be even better. Thanks!!!
Thanks you sir. I should have started with 40wt, 30wt is definitely too light for that CJ. I’ve never used 50wt but I don’t have a lot of real heavy rigs. You’ll have to let me know how it does.
@@TrokaRC thank you sir! Yes it would. I should have started with 40wt. I should change it, just hate messing with shock oil lol. I will put some 40tw in them and try it.
The jeep is looking great as ever. So how did you like the shocks? I noticed they’re on sale right now. I’ve heard mixed reviews, yet I have them in my cart lol.
Thank you sir. I really like them. They’ll be very similar in performance to the stock shocks but look way better. Yeah they’re the same price as desert lizards right now, good deal. I need to use heavier wt shock oil and springs then they’ll be right on the money.
It’s about the same weight, 9.6lbs. It definitely needs heavier weight shock oil and springs. I absolutely agree! The most unscale aspect of RC is the weight. Heavier trail trucks definitely look and act more realistic. I don’t like it when they get overly bouncy though.
@@staysmallrc yeah the Gen9 is fairly heavy, if I recall, mines at about 7.5-8lbs. torque twist on the Gen9 is one of the worst I’ve seen so far. Love the truck though. A set of desert lizards in droop or heavy shock oil will fix the twist. I’m still having fun with it with the stock shocks on but I’ll get a set of desert lizards on it before too long.
@ I’m not sure how often they go on sale on Amazon but you should be able to get it cheaper eventually. Or I just came across a good deal. I didn’t get the blues one because it was so much more. Looks a lot better though but the blue one doesn’t seem to ever go on sale.
Holy crap i want one! Awesome build brother!
Thanks so much! It’s definitely one of axials best RC with a full interior.
Man that Cj7 looks sick Rc brother!!! Great video, thanks for sharing with us
Thank you RcDungeon! 👊
@NEO-RC 👊
Killer build
Thank you, and thanks for watching!
Some good looking shocks bro

@NEO-RC I like to use associated green stuff o ring grease great stuff

Thank you sir, and thank you so much for watching!
😎😎👍👍
Thanks 🙏
Nice run , getting ready to install these on my gen9 or Gmade gs02, going to run 50w oil

good looking rig 👍
Thank you & thanks so much for watching!!
Looks sick. I wonder if thicker oil would help it out...

How heavy is it now? For trailing and filming, the heavier rigs look way more realistic to me. Looking for used on marketplace

@NEO-RC the gen9 is the heaviest I have. The torque twist doesn't bother me anymore, but it did initially.

@NEO-RC I had another grando in my cart for months 157 bucks. Sold out. 319 for the blue one. I should have grabbed it last month. Great trail crawler
