Thanks for the comment. Yes, make sure you use the left side shim on the left side and the right side shim on the right side. You may need to add or subtract from each side if your backlash is not correct. Thanks for watching
If you use factory shims on one side and say it measures (example .256) then on the other side might measure (example: .250) original specs, whatever side you add to, take the same thickness away from the otherAnd vice versa. until backlash is correct and carrier is tight enough to hit with dead blow to fall out.

The press behind you installs the carrier bearings easier than that hammer. Holds the carrier in place to tighten the ring gear bolts too.

Did you use right side factory shim ?
I believe we did initially, but it’s important to add and subtract shim thickness from both sides until backlash is ideal!
