I haven't ever expressed an interest in CS:GO. The one time I downloaded it was so I could have a handful of CS:Source's content for Garry's Mod when it became free. Somehow, I get invested in Kliksphilip's videos about CS:GO though.

basically, be reminded that it isn't their aim that was good on these shots, it was the shot innacuracy placing the shot on your 30 cm dinner plate by pure RNG
@@folou9199 "it isn't their aim that was good on these shots" but it is about aiming, ppl used to say the same thing about ak's accuracy and that it isn't accurate enough to one tap consistently when in reality they just cannot aim. With the deagle you have to aim almost perfectly at the center of an opponent's head and still at long range you would hit 50% of your shots at best, so you need good movement too.
@@waltertownshend5662 What I find bad about the deagle compared to the ak for one-tapping, is that even though the deagle has a better accurate range than the ak, you have less shots and a bigger recovery time coupled with devastating movement accuracy loss which makes it so frustrating to use.
I really REALLY wish they would improve that delay because otherwise the gun is pretty fun. I actually landed a moving headshot collateral last week with it 😂
@@drschwandi3687 I don't think pros are a good reference, I've always liked the AUG and only in recent years did pros start using it. Obviously I don't want to trash pros, but there is like a restrictive mindset in them that allows them to only use certain weapons.

This reminds me so much of the Ambassador from Team fortress 2. It used to be accurate all ranges and do a critical hit at any range, which is 102 damage but only if you hit the head, which people started complaining about, seeing that sniper should be the only class viable at longer ranges. They they made the critical hit on headshot fall off massively and significantly nerfed its range. Its trash, but it does remind me of the deagle in its current state, and the state it will most likely stay in. Idk just something cool wanted to see if anyone else thought of the amby.
welp im sniper main (2k+ hrs in game) and i havent played pc games for months but i remember how they nerfed this gun. Its very horrible, i lost my favorite enemy. Deagle is RNG + skill based and it can hit hard if u get lucky but amby is skillbased only but prolly cuz crybabies cried cuz they got pwned by fellow gunspies it got nerfed to the ground. Really surprising for sure. Sniper does -150 min HS damage but basically can one shot everyone and the only good counter to snip was gunspy with amby. Sure, spies can use stock revolver but if i have a pocket medic its just not enough damage. I rly miss dueling with good gunspies. Amby requires alot of skill and gives almost no reward.
@@zxvc849 dude I totally agree with you. It was ridiculously hard to get consistently good with the many because you cant zoom in like sniper and you have to hit such a small hitbox. Additionally, the many was existing peacefully for 7 years until valve decided to nerfed it and everyone suddenly started talking about how it deserved the nerf.
Hey, another team fortress junky with 2k hours. I think the amby nerf was warranted and the parallel you make between that and the CS deagle is interesting. I think a big part of the amby was most certainly the skill disparity between the highest level league players and the average one. When pushed to its limit, the ambassador completely morphed the class into something else, making more of an impact on a team as another sniper/ squishy dps which was especially impactful in community modes like highlander. On an average server, it was a skill cannon with gratifying potential, but one 100k hour player rolls up and suddenly the spy is someone else entirely

The r8's primary fire is actually hilariously accurate. You don't even have to crouch to get the full accuracy of it like the deagle. I swear if I shot that thing into the sky, it'd probably hit someone in the head in another server
Simple fix for the revolver: You can cock the gun by holding Mouse 2 before shooting to keep it ready. It still has the disatvantage of needing to be cocked, but at least now it's useful.
@@Nelex5000 it actually cocks over and over but doesnt shoot so it can fire as soon as it needs to (source : hvh) they are proposing that when you hold mouse 2, it cocks and stays in the cocked position until released (i.e changing your mind about shooting) or pressing M1 to shoot without having to cock it (already cocked). basically like in call of duty how you have to hold the Aim key to ads, then the Fire key to actally shoot
Makes left click more instant. It takes so long to shoot. Also make ah 553 fire rate like the ak only reduce the rod when scoped. Same with aug tbh. Because I see no point in buying these guns
I've always liked revolvers, something about their design makes me love them. It's sad that the revolver went from being a broken OP mess, to a far worse alternative to the deagle.
It's great for wallbanging. Prefiring positions and... Running and gunning. And if you can tag a few people with it in pistol round your teammates can finish the job with EZ bodyshot kills.
Funny thing about it, is that I don't think it was meant to be even intended to be THAT delayed. Because no one expected to turn away from the enemies(or turn to) after letting out the shot. Quake 2's BFG I think was more of the intended effect than a fancy delayed 20-pellet shotgun.
I've been saying for ages, remove the first shot delay for the revolver and increase its moving inacuracy. Boom high risk high reward pistol that rewards accuracy and is useless without either headshotting or having info that the enemy is low.
@@pico4996 the problem there is that at higher skill levels the trigger delay is longer than it takes a decent player to kill you with most weapons at most ranges.
It's also exactly how double-action/single-action revolvers work irl (which is what the R8 is). For the best first shot accuracy, you cock the hammer so your first trigger pull is crisp and short, and follow-up shots end up being slower and less accurate because you now have to reset the hammer and fire the gun with the trigger itself
A decent buff to the revolver would be to reverse the mechanics, it shoots as soon as you left-click, but then it takes time to pull the hammer back, making it a sniper as people want the Deagle to be.
Well done mentioning CS:S, that’s definitely when the DEagle was a uber-gun… when I switched to CSGO I stopped using it for a long time. My standard buy in CS:S was often DEagle+Scout… with the pistol used as primary weapon! If I didn’t one-tap someone, I would use the scout for the second shot, often unscoped (thanks to the similarity in the weapon position to the rifles in DoD I was pretty good at using it unscoped)
I wanna make it 100% accurate, spammable, 2 hit kill, but costs 16000...and maybe an extended mag and an acog EDIT: maybe a grenade launcher, a side laser flashlight combo, a tactical stock, a silencer, and make the sound effect as loud as possible so even with the silencer it makes the shot sound like a garand ping, but with a silencer and very earrapy

People want the deagle to be 100% accurate so that they can hit an accurate headshot accross the map only when THEY are using it. But when they get killed by such a shot. They’ll complain about it and say that it need to be nerfed.
I would want that and I wouldn't complain about it. Why? Because skill is involved, not luck. I can do to them exactly what they can do to me. It's a fair fight. And not as easy to pull off.

i don't know though, we should still be focusing on getting Valve to pay proper attention to the sheer amount of cheaters in Prime right now. it's absolutely shameful. we need a specific way to vet through Prime matches in particular. i don't give a crap about the slough that has become regular F2P MM. wastes my time to do overwatches for them. i want to know that i'm cleaning up Prime, instead of making absolutely no difference to the quality of matches we run into.
Im somebody who has desperately tried to make the revolver my default gun, but the fact it takes longer to shoot, and is less accurate whilst standing is practically a death sentence for it :(

2bh, as long as Deagle maintains current headshot ability while removing the stupid double torso shot kill even with armor, it's good. It seems Sloth's change is aiming for that specifically.

Same thing happened with the Krieg and AUG... no one knew how busted they were until a certain meta came along (although with the Krieg and AUG there was definitely a helping hand from Volvo)

It's people bitching because pros are good with the gun, so other people learn to use it and people complain about getting killed all the time by "non meta" guns. Just because you didn't get killed by an AK or M4 doesn't mean the gun you DID get killed with is unbalanced. If valve wanted us to only use the AK and M4 they would just have only those rifles in the game.
@@Ultra289 You forget how much the game had changed since 2012. P250 used to have 1 hit hs, cz was 300$, tec 9 run spam, five seven had only 1 recovery value. The problem back then wasn't the deagle but the other pistols so valve nerfed pretty much every good pistol except deagle. Now they actually buffed it so that inaccuracy after landing didn't take 2 seconds so you can even jump and land without having to wait. So the comparison to aug/sg is not that good as ak/m4 were barely changed except for m4a1s nerfs but even then you could just pick a4 instead. Deagle was never seen op as other pistols were seen far more op but sg/aug was never seen op because not many had even tried them (I did since source).
I personally like your idea of 4 shot body shot at any range, I feel that would reward people for aiming, instead of of just crouching and clicking as fast as they can
I was on looking at this on the subreddit. I feel like he might not be as skilled as he claims to be seeing he didn't take into account how someone gets close enough to a rifle and not aiming for head height with a rifle, making it clear that you need at least 5 bullets to kill a Deagle Player, when at max you would need 2-3 in the higher ranks.
In Lower Ranks the Deagle is often even used like an SMG, with players just running and spamming shots aimed to the body. This is often pretty effective as you only need to hit 2/7 shots which is why I think they should reduce its base damage quite a bit.
@@sRetailStoreMusic well most of the players in the game are in the lower two thirds of the matchmaking rank system. So if Valve wants to prevent their game from dying commercially (which they definitely do) then this type of change would definitely be warranted. Not to mention that reducing the base damage of the Deagle could only encourage more skillful play at higher ranks
I have a fix. It goes like this: up damage by one (63>64) and dropping penetration to 75% from 93%, also buffing the drop-off to .85 from .81, by math, the Deagle has around the same armoured OHK range and it no more 2-hit-kills an armored chest, (48 damage to armoured chest at point blank). Armoured stomach 2-hit-kill is nerfed to 500 units , and unarmoured is buffed up to 1400 units. I would also tweak the recovery time to be .6 seconds (between CS 1.6's Deagle at .4 and CS:GO's Deagle at .8), crouched should stay the same, as should accuracy in both stances. This way as you can see the gun is a bit more balanced without affecting it's OHK cappabilitiies, due to it's better damage fall-off. If valve changed these stats the Deagle would be less of a "chest-spam" weapon, mantaining it's capabilities as a eco weapon, also making it a little bit more controllable, but overall staying the same. Like for Philip (and hopefully Valv€) to see!

I could never reliably use deagle in counter strike. Not in 1.6 and not in GO and it always amazed me how can people go around getting those one shot headshots reliebly.
Stand still hold an angle or properly counterstrafe while shooting. Some luck with timing and positioning and deagle can win rounds or sometimes it was a waste of 700$. I think it's balanced tbh
I only want the deagle NOT to kill in 2 bodyshots in close range. Its time to kill is overpowered compared to rifles in my opinion. So lower the base damage and lower the damage drop-off/distance

It is less accurate, but more spammable, it wasnt made for accurate shooting since the beginning. The only accurate pistol in 1.6 is the usp, or km.45 tactical
@@Nelex5000 Thats because in 1.6 every weapon have 4~5 different spray patterns, also the accuracy system back then is totally differnet. If you went spraying like in csgo then it will be mostly depends on your luck, but tapping and bursting is very consistent. I would say 1.6 is more skill-based than csgo, it just takes painful amount of time to learn. If you want to hit some shots with AK, do single tap only.

@@Nelex5000 I did watch that video before, thats because there's an old glitch forces the weapon to calculate accuracy based on last bullet fired earlier, no matter the time between each shots. And thats why you see people do quick switch to regain accuracy.

I always appreciate Philip's view on these things. They're almost always, if not always, based on facts, and what would actually make the game better. I don't even play the game but I'd be damned if Philip's arguments aren't some of the best I've seen regarding games in general
The one tap head is fine but the body shots should be far far less damaging than a rifle. The times I've been killed by Deagle spam while having a rifle... I'm also not a huge fan of damage dropoff. Yes, it's a game but this is unintuitive as heck.
I wouldn't mind SlothSquadran's changes, but with a slightly higher accuracy and slightly higher cost, somewhere around $1200 similar to the shotguns. It doesn't need to be a pistol round weapon and often isn't use as one anyway. If not that, then double down as a pistol round weapon, much lower armor pen to give it a nieche role, also as specifically an anti eco weapon.

I think lowering the firing speed should fix the issue, less effective trying to spam it at close range lowers ttk if going for body shots changes nothing if going for 1 taps
It may actually be a buff for lower ranked players, the lower fire rate will help hitting the enemy more consistantly, because it's not that easy to know when your gun is enough accurate to hit the enemy
That overpass clip can probably be attributed to the player lagging out and breaking. There was a similar thing with a player missing a player lagged out with a rifle in a pro game
@@ryan74458 to me sheriff is easier to get hs compare to deagle and punishable for body is basically for most weapon because of valorant dumb armor system, it didn't give you are more point but basically give you more HP because if you look at it you can get down to 4hp with 80ap in cs but in valorant your ap is your extra hp

irl a gun’s accuracy is partly effected barrel length and with such a large calibre and a short barrel i think the degeal is fine were it is for accuracy.

Def needs changing, I don't know Phil - I love that you do all these in depth videos, but the 1.6 deagle just felt right - running, crouching, 1 step / 1 shot angle peeking - that gun just fitted every situation accordingly. Well having said that as a WHOLE I feel that 1.6 was better and that each of the guns was created / designed correctly to match the feel of the player and the shots they were firing. There was something " special " and secret about the ingredients to CS 1.6 that made everything feel "Real " when you were spraying and missing you knew you were spraying recklessly, when you were slow, methodical and planned to be deadly accurate you were. CS Source's Deagle was absolute trash and not a True reflection of the spirit and feel of CounterStrike. CS GO Deagle just feels random and not aligned with what the player actually planned / shot for they way 1.6 would match the intention of the players planned shots and the reality matching the intention ? Hope that makes sense. CS GO Deagle def needs correction. +1 to Accuracy -1 to Deagle Spam Damage.
How to fix the Deagle: Get rid of bullet drop off Make it 100% accurate Increase clip size to 200 Increase rpm to 1,150 Infinite ammo Reduce cost to 0$ and spawn in with it 200% bullet penetration Running speed of 500 velocity Crouch speed of 250 velocity Walking speed of 250 velocity Strong aim assist Magnetic bullets (like in halo) Add the AWP’s scope Comes with a free special riot shield that never breaks and can be used at the same time with the riot shield I honestly don’t know why valve wouldn’t add these small and simple changes to the game but I guess they’re too busy making lootboxes…
If you want a Scout, buy a Scout. The Deagle isn't supost to be a laser accurate rifle, capable of consistantly 1 tapping from across the map. The Deagle is a $700 PISTOL that already has better accuracy than most rifles. If you're missing your shots against a stationary target, it's because you are too far away to make precise shots with anything that doesn't have a scope. Scoped guns are intentionaly the only consistantly accurate guns at long range, everything else is designed for closer distances. The Deagle is intended to be a close to mid range semi automatic pistol, not a bolt action rifle

The deagle to me has always been a gun that rewards accuracy and reaction time and has also been a way to win eco rounds against rifles, but when you can't rely on that it ruins the gun and makes the game just frustrating.
It's certainly a serious issue that at 35 meters, while crouching, a headshot is not guaranteed if random numbers generator decides to hate you today. It's not the skilled version of high risk high reward, it's literal gambling, and that should not be part of a competitive game.

In my opinion the R8 is better than a lot of people think. There is just no pro who is used to the weapon because the deagle is that strong.

This reminds me so much of the Ambassador from Team fortress 2. It used to be accurate all ranges and do a critical hit at any range, which is 102 damage but only if you hit the head, which people started complaining about, seeing that sniper should be the only class viable at longer ranges. They they made the critical hit on headshot fall off massively and significantly nerfed its range. Its trash, but it does remind me of the deagle in its current state, and the state it will most likely stay in. Idk just something cool wanted to see if anyone else thought of the amby.
welp im sniper main (2k+ hrs in game) and i havent played pc games for months but i remember how they nerfed this gun. Its very horrible, i lost my favorite enemy. Deagle is RNG + skill based and it can hit hard if u get lucky but amby is skillbased only but prolly cuz crybabies cried cuz they got pwned by fellow gunspies it got nerfed to the ground. Really surprising for sure. Sniper does -150 min HS damage but basically can one shot everyone and the only good counter to snip was gunspy with amby. Sure, spies can use stock revolver but if i have a pocket medic its just not enough damage. I rly miss dueling with good gunspies. Amby requires alot of skill and gives almost no reward.
@@zxvc849 dude I totally agree with you. It was ridiculously hard to get consistently good with the many because you cant zoom in like sniper and you have to hit such a small hitbox. Additionally, the many was existing peacefully for 7 years until valve decided to nerfed it and everyone suddenly started talking about how it deserved the nerf.
Hey, another team fortress junky with 2k hours. I think the amby nerf was warranted and the parallel you make between that and the CS deagle is interesting. I think a big part of the amby was most certainly the skill disparity between the highest level league players and the average one. When pushed to its limit, the ambassador completely morphed the class into something else, making more of an impact on a team as another sniper/ squishy dps which was especially impactful in community modes like highlander. On an average server, it was a skill cannon with gratifying potential, but one 100k hour player rolls up and suddenly the spy is someone else entirely

I've permanently switched out the Deagle for the Revolver. It sucks, yeah, but there's no bigger flex than outsniping a sniper with a slow-ass pistol.
The r8's primary fire is actually hilariously accurate. You don't even have to crouch to get the full accuracy of it like the deagle.
I swear if I shot that thing into the sky, it'd probably hit someone in the head in another server

Simple fix for the revolver: You can cock the gun by holding Mouse 2 before shooting to keep it ready. It still has the disatvantage of needing to be cocked, but at least now it's useful.
Or make it shoot when you release M1 so you can hold it indefinitely

they are proposing that when you hold mouse 2, it cocks and stays in the cocked position until released (i.e changing your mind about shooting) or pressing M1 to shoot without having to cock it (already cocked).
basically like in call of duty how you have to hold the Aim key to ads, then the Fire key to actally shoot

Funny thing about it, is that I don't think it was meant to be even intended to be THAT delayed. Because no one expected to turn away from the enemies(or turn to) after letting out the shot.
Quake 2's BFG I think was more of the intended effect than a fancy delayed 20-pellet shotgun.

I've been saying for ages, remove the first shot delay for the revolver and increase its moving inacuracy. Boom high risk high reward pistol that rewards accuracy and is useless without either headshotting or having info that the enemy is low.
it has really good accuracy while moving with a delay to compensate. As long as you can track the enemy its great
@@pico4996 the problem there is that at higher skill levels the trigger delay is longer than it takes a decent player to kill you with most weapons at most ranges.
Trigger delays feel awful. The 412 Rex in early BF4 had the same delay and nobody wanted to use it as a result
It's also exactly how double-action/single-action revolvers work irl (which is what the R8 is). For the best first shot accuracy, you cock the hammer so your first trigger pull is crisp and short, and follow-up shots end up being slower and less accurate because you now have to reset the hammer and fire the gun with the trigger itself

A decent buff to the revolver would be to reverse the mechanics, it shoots as soon as you left-click, but then it takes time to pull the hammer back, making it a sniper as people want the Deagle to be.

Personally I'd like to see first shot accuracy doubled across the board. The unforgiving hitbox sizes make enough near miss situations as it is.
Well done mentioning CS:S, that’s definitely when the DEagle was a uber-gun… when I switched to CSGO I stopped using it for a long time. My standard buy in CS:S was often DEagle+Scout… with the pistol used as primary weapon!
If I didn’t one-tap someone, I would use the scout for the second shot, often unscoped (thanks to the similarity in the weapon position to the rifles in DoD I was pretty good at using it unscoped)

People want the deagle to be 100% accurate so that they can hit an accurate headshot accross the map only when THEY are using it. But when they get killed by such a shot. They’ll complain about it and say that it need to be nerfed.

It's people bitching because pros are good with the gun, so other people learn to use it and people complain about getting killed all the time by "non meta" guns. Just because you didn't get killed by an AK or M4 doesn't mean the gun you DID get killed with is unbalanced. If valve wanted us to only use the AK and M4 they would just have only those rifles in the game.
@@Ultra289 You forget how much the game had changed since 2012. P250 used to have 1 hit hs, cz was 300$, tec 9 run spam, five seven had only 1 recovery value. The problem back then wasn't the deagle but the other pistols so valve nerfed pretty much every good pistol except deagle. Now they actually buffed it so that inaccuracy after landing didn't take 2 seconds so you can even jump and land without having to wait. So the comparison to aug/sg is not that good as ak/m4 were barely changed except for m4a1s nerfs but even then you could just pick a4 instead. Deagle was never seen op as other pistols were seen far more op but sg/aug was never seen op because not many had even tried them (I did since source).

I was on looking at this on the subreddit. I feel like he might not be as skilled as he claims to be seeing he didn't take into account how someone gets close enough to a rifle and not aiming for head height with a rifle, making it clear that you need at least 5 bullets to kill a Deagle Player, when at max you would need 2-3 in the higher ranks.

In Lower Ranks the Deagle is often even used like an SMG, with players just running and spamming shots aimed to the body. This is often pretty effective as you only need to hit 2/7 shots which is why I think they should reduce its base damage quite a bit.

So if Valve wants to prevent their game from dying commercially (which they definitely do) then this type of change would definitely be warranted. Reduce the base damage of a .50 action express?
I have a fix. It goes like this: up damage by one (63>64) and dropping penetration to 75% from 93%, also buffing the drop-off to .85 from .81, by math, the Deagle has around the same armoured OHK range and it no more 2-hit-kills an armored chest, (48 damage to armoured chest at point blank). Armoured stomach 2-hit-kill is nerfed to 500 units , and unarmoured is buffed up to 1400 units. I would also tweak the recovery time to be .6 seconds (between CS 1.6's Deagle at .4 and CS:GO's Deagle at .8), crouched should stay the same, as should accuracy in both stances. This way as you can see the gun is a bit more balanced without affecting it's OHK cappabilitiies, due to it's better damage fall-off. If valve changed these stats the Deagle would be less of a "chest-spam" weapon, mantaining it's capabilities as a eco weapon, also making it a little bit more controllable, but overall staying the same. Like for Philip (and hopefully Valv€) to see!

It is less accurate, but more spammable, it wasnt made for accurate shooting since the beginning. The only accurate pistol in 1.6 is the usp, or km.45 tactical
@@Nelex5000 Thats because in 1.6 every weapon have 4~5 different spray patterns, also the accuracy system back then is totally differnet. If you went spraying like in csgo then it will be mostly depends on your luck, but tapping and bursting is very consistent. I would say 1.6 is more skill-based than csgo, it just takes painful amount of time to learn.
If you want to hit some shots with AK, do single tap only.

I always appreciate Philip's view on these things. They're almost always, if not always, based on facts, and what would actually make the game better. I don't even play the game but I'd be damned if Philip's arguments aren't some of the best I've seen regarding games in general
The one tap head is fine but the body shots should be far far less damaging than a rifle. The times I've been killed by Deagle spam while having a rifle...
I'm also not a huge fan of damage dropoff. Yes, it's a game but this is unintuitive as heck.
I wouldn't mind SlothSquadran's changes, but with a slightly higher accuracy and slightly higher cost, somewhere around $1200 similar to the shotguns. It doesn't need to be a pistol round weapon and often isn't use as one anyway.
If not that, then double down as a pistol round weapon, much lower armor pen to give it a nieche role, also as specifically an anti eco weapon.
Summary:
Shots 1-5: Clearly missed.
Shots 6-9: Missed due to recoil (bad spray control).
Shots 10-11: Very close, but recoil and inaccuracy make these reasonable misses.
Shot 12: Likely didn't actually fire because the deagle was already dead.

It may actually be a buff for lower ranked players, the lower fire rate will help hitting the enemy more consistantly, because it's not that easy to know when your gun is enough accurate to hit the enemy
That overpass clip can probably be attributed to the player lagging out and breaking. There was a similar thing with a player missing a player lagged out with a rifle in a pro game

@@ryan74458 to me sheriff is easier to get hs compare to deagle and punishable for body is basically for most weapon because of valorant dumb armor system, it didn't give you are more point but basically give you more HP because if you look at it you can get down to 4hp with 80ap in cs but in valorant your ap is your extra hp

Def needs changing, I don't know Phil - I love that you do all these in depth videos, but the 1.6 deagle just felt right - running, crouching, 1 step / 1 shot angle peeking - that gun just fitted every situation accordingly. Well having said that as a WHOLE I feel that 1.6 was better and that each of the guns was created / designed correctly to match the feel of the player and the shots they were firing.
There was something " special " and secret about the ingredients to CS 1.6 that made everything feel "Real " when you were spraying and missing you knew you were spraying recklessly, when you were slow, methodical and planned to be deadly accurate you were.
CS Source's Deagle was absolute trash and not a True reflection of the spirit and feel of CounterStrike.
CS GO Deagle just feels random and not aligned with what the player actually planned / shot for they way 1.6 would match the intention of the players planned shots and the reality matching the intention ?

How to fix the Deagle:
Get rid of bullet drop off
Make it 100% accurate
Increase clip size to 200
Increase rpm to 1,150
Infinite ammo
Reduce cost to 0$ and spawn in with it
200% bullet penetration
Running speed of 500 velocity
Crouch speed of 250 velocity
Walking speed of 250 velocity
Strong aim assist
Magnetic bullets (like in halo)
Add the AWP’s scope
Comes with a free special riot shield that never breaks and can be used at the same time with the riot shield
I honestly don’t know why valve wouldn’t add these small and simple changes to the game but I guess they’re too busy making lootboxes…
It makes more sense making those changes for the revolver. The deagle should behave more like in CS 1.6 or source.
If you want a Scout, buy a Scout. The Deagle isn't supost to be a laser accurate rifle, capable of consistantly 1 tapping from across the map. The Deagle is a $700 PISTOL that already has better accuracy than most rifles. If you're missing your shots against a stationary target, it's because you are too far away to make precise shots with anything that doesn't have a scope. Scoped guns are intentionaly the only consistantly accurate guns at long range, everything else is designed for closer distances. The Deagle is intended to be a close to mid range semi automatic pistol, not a bolt action rifle
The balance option that appeared in the vid with 100% penetration and no falloff is literally pre nerf spy ambassador and nobody liked dying to that
Leave the Deagle as is. It's already a very good balanced weapon.

The deagle to me has always been a gun that rewards accuracy and reaction time and has also been a way to win eco rounds against rifles, but when you can't rely on that it ruins the gun and makes the game just frustrating.
Honestly, make it so it always does a one shot headshot, and improve the accuracy. That’s all we need
It's certainly a serious issue that at 35 meters, while crouching, a headshot is not guaranteed if random numbers generator decides to hate you today. It's not the skilled version of high risk high reward, it's literal gambling, and that should not be part of a competitive game.
