She will soon discover he has credit cards in her name and when she leaves she will discover she is liable for the debt. so my sister has been married to my brother in law over 47 yrs. When they met, he was 10 yrs older, had been divorced already and had a child with his ex. 1st warning sign. My sister was 19 just out of high-school. She thought she got the hard working farmer who's family owned dozens of acres of farmland in rural IA. Therefore, she would have a stable financial footing to raise her kids. No struggles.
What really happened was his dad saw he couldn't manage money & made stipulations that he had NO ACCESS to the farmland till his stepmother passed. She's still alive at 90ish. Both of them jumped from job to job not caring about pensions because they thought they had farmland in IA to sell. Now neither of them have a pension he's working driving a truck in his 70s and they have basically been reduced to living in a 5th wheel. My advice is do NOT stay with someone hoping they change! Unless you don't mind being broke & penniless in your elderly years. Get out earn your OWN $ 1st , then find a real partner.

I had/have many attorneys to help where help could be helped to get away. In the end he has attempted to file bankruptcy in two states.
Getting a P.O. box after the fact does not help. If only I knew sooner what he was doing. He did this for almost 20 years. I missed court dates that I never new existed. And paid over $5,000 on an accumulated lien on my house for a bill I did not know existed when I sold the house. . The bill was only a few hundred originally. He let me see mail but it was always after he got it. I found out he never mailed bills when I asked him too. He would just get rid of them. I would not know because he would then hid the bill when it came again.

We've heard the exact inverse of this call, and they basically told the guy "what kind of world are you creating for your wife where she feels like she needs to spend all this money to feel some sort of happiness?" So when the man overspends, it's the man's fault, and when the woman overspends, it's also the man's fault. Interesting.

I am not saying this man is not a bad husband oo. There was a toxic Liberian pastor here in Maryland, had a lot of toxic African members , church so toxic , the toxic pastor and his his toxic wife were misleading the vulnerable married women in the church to give their entire paycheck to their husbands, let the man give them money for food and upkeep but the man should handle all the finances . After listening to this lady, I am wondering was she desperate for marriage or is she in one of those toxic churches using scriptures to suppress women? Why would any pastor mislead women like this to tell them to be absent from the family finances. My daddy Dave Ramsey a multi millionaire , our mother Sharon Ramsey never worked outside their home from the day she had their first child, her name is on everything. She has a say in every financial decision. Knows where all the money is going. I am very curious to know more about how their relationship started. Your wife trust you with the family finances and you running and draining the family? Is she afraid of this man or afraid of divorce? She should love herself enough to separate finances and get fully involved or else she will end up like the lady in Maryland who was sitting home and the sheriff came to lock her apartment because her husband did not pay the rent. Every wife needs to know and have a say , be a part of the family money. Ladies remember we have children oo. These men leave us with the children. Don’t be silent oo. Protect yourself and your children oo.
