      Can’t believe the Canik mete sf isn’t on your list. Awesome pistol that comes with much more out of the box than any of the guns on your list. If that’s too big in your eyes to carry concealed, there’s always the tp9 elite sc from Canik. You should try them out. If you want a little bit larger do all pistol, go for the Canik mete sft pro 👍🏻 you won’t be disappointed. Check ‘em out

      @@jonnyt16 I put the new mete sf against a new gen 5 glock 17 and it not only outperformed the Austrian glock, it also outlasted the Glock and had less issues, not to mention it just looks and feels and shoots so much better than a Glock. I’m not pro-terrorist or anything but I really don’t care who made it after it’s proved itself to be good enough to protect and defend myself with. I’ve got over 80,000 rounds through the Canik now on all of the stock parts it came with and the Glock needed a barrel and guid rod and springs around the 40,000 mark as well as the mags not seating very tight anymore now that it has over 8,000 mag changes. Plus, side by side compare the triggers, sights, capacity, grip angle, and feel in the hand…. The Glock wins on none of those and we all know it. And yes, glock was was first handgun and I still own 2 of them today. But had they been around in the 90’s I would’ve chose the Canik over the Glock after owning and shooting both. Just my personal opinion.

    I definitely recommend the PSA Dagger to anyone with $300 looking for a pistol. It’s a gen 3 glock 19 clone so there is a ton of support for after market upgrades in the future if you want to go that route too! I have a black base model dagger and it’s been absolutely amazing! No jams, super easy to take apart and clean, much better irons than a glock, and the grip is amazing

    One quick thought: when it comes to cost, on the lower end, a .380 has an issue of the ammo being significantly more expensive than 9mm. If you’re gonna carry, you gotta practice. Which means rounds down range that will start sounding like a cash register bell after every shot.

I appreciate that you are more in touch with the realities of a lot of people out here. I want to give a shout out to the Ruger EC9. Was just out at the range with it yesterday (cleaning it as I watch this), and as a former police officer will say that's it is one of the best $250 or so weapons one will find. And I absolutely love it. 20oz polymer frame, 13+1, reliable, etc. And as of right now, I alternate between my Glock 19 gen 4, shield plus, and charter arms off duty. My friend has a p365 and I shot it well, but it felt odd in my hand. I wanted to get more capacity in my CCW and tried a few out. I ended up purchasing a Shield Plus. I bought the Taurus G2C because of its affordability, but also because of its reliability. This gun is really smooth. Fires nicely, the 3 white dot sighting is easy to pick up quickly. I've put 1200 rounds through it so far, bought back in May of this year, and I haven't had 1 FTE, FTF, and no issues whatsoever. I've seen many reviews on RUclips about the G2C and several reviewers were not happy with the trigger and trigger safety, with one reviewer actually claiming the trigger safety was pinching their finger. I've had no problems like that. Surprisingly, the G2C, though compact in size, fits my large bear paws comfortably. I picked it up at Sportsman's Warehouse for $260, and it has all of the Glock tech on it. Nice gun, great price, very reliable.

    • @TeeLocky

      My G2C does go bang every time, but it has a couple of quirks. It does not always chamber a round, and you have to tap the rear of the slide for it to fully chamber. The slide also locks sometimes, and you can't eject a round manually, forcing you to fire the gun. I have noticed that this has only happened with round nose ammo.

    • @r.f.richardsonjr5691
      @r.f.richardsonjr5691 Год назад

      @@TeeLocky Usually, JHP ammo can have a FTF issue because the edge of the hollow point can catch on the edge of the feeding ramp. Based on the recommendations I assumed this video was a few years old. The G2c can be found for $175 to $200 with rebate which occurs several times a year. The G3c has a slightly better trigger for $180 to $225 after rebate. It comes with 3 mags while the G2c only comes with 2. Putting a Hogue LCPII grip sleeve on the LCP Max really improved the experience shooting it. Using a sharp knife to trim off the sharp edges of the trigger eliminated 80% of the pinching that causes one's trigger finger to hurt after 10 to 30 rounds. I would recommend the Shield Plus for a gun similar in size to the G2c and G3c but with a better trigger. The Taurus trigger has a lot of pre-travel with the break far back. The MSRP of the Shield Plus was dropped a few months ago.

    Recently bought a Ruger Max 9 ($308, optic ready on GunBroker and shoot it well!)
    Springfield EMP3 9mm. Sweet gun but a bit heavy for me to carry. I bought it to carry but just don't. Insane Trigger!
    S&W CSX, full lefty, wife's carry but every time I shoot it, I want to get one for me. (Looking forward to trigger kits and an optic cut slide in future generations of it.)
    PSA Dagger. It Runs!!!
    My Taurus G2c is unreliable. It shoots great until it doesn't which is too often. (if there is a worse trigger on any gun in the world, I never want to find out) Totally turned me off to Tarus products.

    Id sway the Ruger EC9S with a S&W Shield 1.0 or 2.0. I have three shields and i haven't paid more than $229 for any of them. I think they're a little better option than the EC9S just do to the aftermarket support in holsters and accessories. That is my single most recommended budget gun, its not a super high capacity gun but 7+1 or 8+1 will do the trick pretty much every time.
    Haha guess thats what i get for commenting early in the video. But the Shield at least around here is easily available under that $250 price.
