      The secret to all these youtube bass fishers who catch like 800 bass in a day is that they fish stocked lakes and ponds that only have private access. I don't even see the fun in that. I'd rather spend all day to catch one quality walleye or trout in a public lake or river.

      The cost of a lure has little to nothing to do with its ability to attract a strike. When I was probably 8 years my brother and I went through a lot of lures. Combine that with the ability for young fishermen to lose lures at an incredible rate. My father refused to buy more lures and insisted my brother and I earn money cleaning neighborhood cars, mowing lawns etc. But we learned from magazines and TV about ways to make our lures. So we resorted to making lures from tea spoons and other items we found at the local dump. You’d be surprised how many fish we caught from junk not to mention the pride of doing it on your own. Even NDyakangler went out with a painted cork, sent in by a fan and caught plenty of smallies with it. 90% of all fish caught are the results of desperately hungry fish, not a lures price tag.

The other day I commented on one other video of yours that I ran across and I fell in love with it and I became a subscriber. I said that your voice reminds me of Bob Ross it's so peaceful and this means a lot to me, Sir your fishing channel on RUclips has hit home to me and let me explain why. I'm 63 years old I've been a fishermen all of my life and I mainly love fishing at lakes and rivers for the tranquility of being outside in nature while fishing. But two years ago I lost the Love of my life my wife of 32 years to cancer. And the depression monster hit me very hard and I'm just trying to make a slow come back and I'm thinking of hitting the waters again. And Sir your peaceful voice the beauty of the locations where you are fishing at has encouraged me to go out fishing once again, I know it will be difficult because many of my fishing trips my wife would go with me and fish alongside me. But now I'm going to do it to try and get my life back, and I just wanted to tell you Sir that your videos and your peaceful voice are doing much more then just teaching how to fish or how your fishing trips are for you. From one fishing angler to another thank you so much.

      This one was a winner in my book! I've had a couple people comment they leak water but mine seemed to keep it out as good or better than the live target frog. Who knows, maybe it was their first time frog fishing and they didn't realize you have to occasionally squeeze them out lol. For 1.94 I'd assume quality control might not be the greatest though so maybe I just got lucky and got a good one but I was really impressed with it! I grabbed a couple of the yellow ones too so maybe I'll have to give one of them a try if the bass are still hitting frogs and see if the performance is consistent.

      @@ndyakangler I suggest, that you test your knots for strenght. The one you tied here, but with only 4 turns, I have experienced 100% line strength with with a certain line. That is NOT good, because you risk the line breaking far from the lure, if you get a bottom hook, or if you hook a huge fish, and it might swim around with a long piece of line hanging, that even could snag something, and it would die from it - if things went really unlucky. I used to do all kinds of tests, to not leave anything to luck or guessing, and that made the rest of my fishing more relaxed. Best way to test knots, if identical hooks in both ends, and pull till one of them breaks. Also test different hooks - wire diameter also means something. To measure breaking strength, I used a bucket and filled with water, till the break, and then weighed the bucket. I don't have the energy to do videos, so feel free to use my input, if you like.

    Your videos are so much more enjoyable than the shows on tv these days. All they do is video fish with forward facing sonar. That is not even fishing.

      Some of those TV shows are better than others but a lot of them are too much like a 30 minute commercial for whatever gear their sponsors are selling.

    I think it's a combination of his voice and overall demeanor but I love these videos, lakes are super nice and bassy too. As far as the baits good, it's all a money grab, the fish dont know how expensive the rod and reel we have or how much the lure was, its usually technique that catches em. Keep up the good work 💪

  • @billyin4c514
    @billyin4c514 Год назад +1

    Yes, and the hooks are larger compared to the body, so you get a better hook up rate. The only problem is there is a poor weight distribution so the lure flips to it's back alot when pulling it over lillies.

    This frog definitely gets bit! I started frog fishing 3 years ago and this frog was 94 cents at my Walmart. I love how it's easy to walk, yeah the eyes fall off very quickly. The legs will eventually fall but I gotten like 15 fish for one frog until no legs. It floats perfectly horizontally unlike other more expensive frogs that then to sit more vertically with the back legs.

    Right On!!! Great video. I love those frogs from Walmart. I like to trim the flairs off set and widen out the hooks for a better bite.

    After watching you catch fish with a lego Chewbacca, I knew this would be easy for ya. You have convinced me that catching fish is more about lure presentation and casting accuracy then it is about the lure itself.
