Having fished multiple s in different sizes and colors, ruclips.net/user/postUgkxCbNOWAGmn6nfbCbJDmasvBq7J38KZNw2 this is by far my favorite. One thing to be aware of is the sided willow blade. One side is silver and the other is the green/orange shown. This is not bad, just unconventional. In terms of fishing, I have found the lure works just fine without a tail like a craw or shad. That addition is up to you. Also, the hook part where you attach the swivel snap or tie the line is a problem on baits these days, since it's able to slide up and down. However this lure seems to be tight enough that that doesn't happen often, and you can solve it by putting a thin slice of medical tube over the hook before attaching the line. Like others have said, it's really magic on a good windy day.

Frog lures are amazing. When I was a kid in the early 70s, my dad often used one, though they were quite a bit different in design back then, usually with a single weedless hook pointed down so there was never a missed hookup. I've had my troubles with hookups on the modern frogs, but just bought a new version that already has the hooks slightly exposed in the way you showed here, and I've been anxious to try that one. I might try your hook-bending trick on some of my other frogs. I've fished in small boats all my life and in the last 15 years have become an avid canoer and river-tripper, so I've switched to using solo canoes for the kind of fishing shown here. While using the single-blade paddle in a solo canoe has a very steep learning curve, it is satisfying and has the bonus of being incredibly silent. But that's a rare skill nowadays so I find myself looking at kayak videos just for the general mood of this kind of fishing, and this one captures that mood. Thanks a bunch.

I’d cat onto the bank and drag it into the water Incase there’s any bass hiding on the bank
Or I give it a few seconds if it makes a big splash like if another fish took it then I start popping or walking it
And if a fish eats it and misses it I give it a few seconds before I start working it again

I fish with frogs too. I love that most are weedless. I fish my canoe in Lake Berryessa in the Napa Valley in Northern California. Nothing gets Me in the flow like floating around and casting to the shore. Thanks for the vids, and keep the lines tight.

Another top shelf video, my only complaint is that they are over too soon. Great job!

On my last frog I added 2 treble hooks, cut away the soft body, glued on some fresh balsa wood, painted it to look like a minnow, and attached a dive lip.

Great mod and a sweet tip my friend🤠🤙 Hoping this helps with my frogs. That I just recently found when picking up trash near the river. Also a great thing that you trimmed your frogs tassles over the tailgate so that the pieces dont end up on the ground where they do not belong.
Anywho, thanks for sharing with us here at home👍Looks like a fun time!!

Yes! This pacified me some since I didn't fish today👍 That's my kind of lake as well, I prefer to hit refuges and sanctuaries that are trolling motor only in my Kayak. Another great vid-all killer, and no filler. Thanks for taking me along.

Great video. The way you film makes me feel like I am in the boat with you. Your instructions were very informative. I have seen alot of people having trouble hooking fish with a frog. See you next trip.
