Hey James. Just wanted to let you know, my wife and I have decided to buy the purple mattress and your review has been a huge help in choosing to do this. Thank you for all you risk and do for educational and entertainment purposes.
The “ice genie” could have worked well, if instead of just making one outer chamber, they made the chambers in a spiral, using up all the space inside.
For the night time glasses, they are mostly marketed to those with astigmatism in either one or both eyes. I have weird astigmatism angles. The wish pair reduces glare a lot more than the other ones. Those without any astigmatism probably won't notice a difference.
Wish can be a hit or miss. It's fun getting a surprise in your mail box after you forgot that you ordered something. Delivery is straight from Shanghai or Hong Kong, so plan on waiting a long time.
This is interesting because AliExpress and eBay from Chinese sellers ship quite fast in comparison which is hilarious because Wish hides their shipping prices behind low prices while I usually opt for free shipping on AliExpress and eBay.
Glenn H , l totally agree with you !! Open the mailbox 8 wks after ordering a bunch of little stocking stuffer type things and say "oh yeah, ld forgotten l ordered......"lol

Regarding the eggstractor, someone taught me once to crack both ends on a table, remove a bit of shell from one end then blow into the open end with my hand out to catch the egg. That trick is what the eggstractor is based on.
For the NV glasses it's more about the light spectrum. You could do the same by using a pair of plastic Halloween glasses and putting that yellow tint on them. There are people who have issues with lights at night due to glare and what not.
The yellow tint on the "driving glasses" is pretty standard in shade. You can get safety glasses. In my opinion they help alot with light flares on headlights. My eyes feel way better when I drive home at night
It did have a better picture, but to me the problem was that its "off" state and "record" state looked exactly the same (indicator lights off) so I was never quite sure when it was recording!
@@Freakinreviews No question that light is a deal breaker. shame . cuz , as i said , vid quality was better. thx James. have a great day in Vegas "vegas baby. vegas"!
I think that the glasses, although identical in quality, help by diffusing the light. At night, our vision is more used to the lack of light, and when you have those bright headlights or other city lights blinding you, i think the yellow tint just makes everything softer. It won't make the night brighter but your eyes will see better because less adjustments are necessary.
Those night vision glasses are niceif you have an astigmatism. Only thing i noticed is it helps cut the glare from the street lights and other cars. Without them i cant drive at night almost at all.
I personally am a big fan of some Wish products. Some of the smart watches you can get are great. I bought one that does the same as the Apple or Samsung watches but the Wish one has a built in phone. It’s great as an emergency back up. One thing you have to watch out for is the metals. A lot of the silver, titanium and stainless steel is actually nickel coated with a high nickel content so if like me you are allergic to nickel it will bring you out in nasty rashes.
The wish cam is definately better all round picture and daylight wise, weird instructions but I guess you can forgive that! 1 question though, what's the white flashing light in the top right of the picture next to the tower with the red lights on? You can see it best when he gets to the full darkness test, I've been racking my brains but I can't hazard a guess!! 🤔🤔
those large towers with flashing lights are cell towers, they give nearby mobile phones their reception, they have flashing lights because to get the best reception they are built really tall or on hills, so they have flashing lights so planes can see them and not crash
I think is bit less glare with yellow tint but neglegable. Another thing they supposed to do is to make contours of objects stand out more (it doesn't, either, I tried like 20 different ones when I was busy Ng at nights few years back...)
So the night glasses do and don't work. What they do is remove most blue and purple lightwaves by filtering those spectrums out. If you look at something like a blue open sign at night that may look somewhat blurry it should look very clear with glasses on vs not. It also can remove some of the harshness of oncoming very cool headlights. The removal of the Blue/Purple lightwaves is important as they refract the most while passing through your cornea meaning they are the hardest for our eyes to focus on especially in dark environments when our pupils are the most dilated. Removing the Blue/Purple light can have an even greater positive effect on people with cataracts as the blue/purple light scatters even more for them plus the Pupil tends to be more open due to less general light coming in with cataracts thereby compounding the effect. What they don't do however is increase total light you see (Quite the opposite filtering out the lower spectra and all...) And they likely will have little effect in general driving Excluding making viewing some cooler lights like Blue, Purple's and Greens clearer (But dimmer...) Everything I've said here is scientifically backed and/or proven. I've personally run a few experiments myself with gaming glasses and spectrascopes. Results are pretty cool. Keep up the good work.
I actually find the yellow tint on glasses helps with glare - but it also turned out I needed RX glasses, which basically fixed the issue all together. But before that I'd get a big starburst light effect, and with the yellow tint glasses it was reduced quite a bit. So perhaps you need to already need RX glasses for the yellow tint to make any difference.
As an optician I have an opinion about the night vision glasses. The science behind it is as follows : at night there is more blue light, yellow light negates that. For most people there isn't a difference, but people with slight myopia, especially the ones with like -0.25 to -0.50. will be most likely to notice a difference. This is because the blue light creates a slight myopia, since most people are hypermetropics (meaning they need + for the distance, which the eye can create itself) the extra -0.50Dioptria from the blue light actually eases the stress on the eye. But the people with slight myopia might just be pushed over that edge that makes them feel uncomfortable with their vision.
I love when wish things are actually what it should be. That said, thanks for these videos !!!i know you seriously do get what you pay for. The eggstractor seems better suited for CPR than cooking lol. Maybe make videos on how to repurpose the shady items lol. Re: wish. Im thinking with some stuff, rather than imitating items, they may be buying crappy items that don't sell well in other countries...?? Also one note: WISH is now selling items ( cheap jewelry, bedding, toys you name it) and filling orders on AMAZON, just letting you know since you do so many reviews. I've seen the same exact items from wish( same back drops, props and descriptions etc.) On Amazon. EXAMPLE: "A LADIES RING wedding, party, ladies, girls, silver and stone, much pretty, desired " I've had Amazon prime for years and have never seen the wish like descriptions until a couple of months ago. Then, it takes weeks not days to recieve my items and they arrive in the flimsy white or gray envelopes, marked as clearing customs, from China. ( same tracking info/ messages that your package had been lost or will be late) Sorry for ther long post !! You are AWESOME for helping people not waste money on cheaply made items👍👍👍you rock !!
The yellow lens actually has a function: it filters out much of the night vision destroying blue light from some of the new LED headlamps. Similar glasses are marketed as Blue Blockers, and they're very helpful sometimes. It doesn't hurt to keep a pair in the car.
I use yellow shades only when snowboarding at night, they help me to see snows texture better; huge lumps, exposed ice, hard edge slits and other annoyingness on the slope. Without my Oakleys everything is just white mass, almost zero shapes. Competitive shooters seem to use them too. I dont drive, day or night (keeping fellow humans safe here, youre welcome), so I cant say if they are any worth on the road.
You gotta take a little shell off. The same can be accomplished by putting the egg directly to your mouth. It also helps if you roll the whole egg between hand and counter to loosen shell.
The glasses do help with glare simply by being a filter that changes the color temperature of the light you are seeing. 5000K to 5500k is very close to the color temperature of noon day sun, while the glasses filter the color down the light spectrum scale to around 3200k to 3500k, closer to the light color of an incandescent light bulb. Simply put the glasses are color filters, they do limit glare a bit but they also limit what you see a bit because what you are seeing has been color shifted lower on the color spectrum.
My mom swore by her yellow lens night glasses for long trips when I was a kid. I remember her stating that they were best in the country to where she could more easily see deer that might've tried to death dive at us driving by. Truth is, they amplify the headlight peripherals so that you have completely full view not limited to the lights boundaries
Crazy Rusian used same egg pealer and worked very well.He hits wide side of egg few times and puts it in its holder and pushes it out.He does not use puncture point on gadget.Try it out that way.I was amazed by results.Wish cam had better sound and picture then cop cam.
Yellow tint at night does help discern detail in low light areas, that is why cars in Europe have yellow headlights and shooters use them to pick out details in the shadows. I agree no difference in the glasses.
I have a pair of J+S yellow lens glasses that came with a nice semi-hard case. I think I paid about $20 for them. They work very well on overcast days making everything brighter and somewhat improving contrast. I have tried them at night a few times and didn't really like the results. Only negative is the zipper on the case has already partially torn loose after less than 20 uses. But the glasses are still fine. I think the quality of the lenses is pretty good for inexpensive glasses.
the solid bottom of the ice genie and such means you can then use it as a cup and pour the ice into the center thing and fill that up with loose ice, until it gets stuck together with freezer ice and turns into a giant chunk of funky ice with holes in it.
The Wish cop cam is smart. Having that light off when recording is smart. If you're recording someone, especially at night, without them knowing... last thing you want them to notice is a little red flashing dot lol
The night vision glasses do help those of us with night blindness, helps glare and car lights not be so overpowering. Like your vid's still checking them out. Thinking of subbing, will you be doing grills? Nu Wave XL?
The wish cam is better than the cop cam in my opinion... minus the sd card cost.

Wish cam looks better. Better to have light off, doesnt draw attention. Lol
I think is bit less glare with yellow tint but neglegable. Another thing they supposed to do is to make contours of objects stand out more (it doesn't, either, I tried like 20 different ones when I was busy Ng at nights few years back...)
I really hate the ice genie thanks to freakin reviews
What they don't do however is increase total light you see (Quite the opposite filtering out the lower spectra and all...)
And they likely will have little effect in general driving Excluding making viewing some cooler lights like Blue, Purple's and Greens clearer (But dimmer...)
Everything I've said here is scientifically backed and/or proven. I've personally run a few experiments myself with gaming glasses and spectrascopes. Results are pretty cool.
Keep up the good work.
Hey James.. In the night vision you kinda look like Thanos :P
It's so strange...
Honestly, for the price, the video quality of the Wish cam is very good...
Stealing designs, even boxes and manuals seems to be chinese national sport.
Don't even look at their cars 'original designs'
Cracking me up with the Eggstractor. LOL
Nice impression of egg dripping.😂
Yellow lenses increases contrast. No good for night driving, but try them in the rain. They really work well in the rain.
( same tracking info/ messages that your package had been lost or will be late)
Sorry for ther long post !!
I purchased a switchblade knife from Wish and was very surprised. It was much better quality than expected. Most crap I bought from Wish was crap.
Crazy Rusian used same egg pealer and worked very well.He hits wide side of egg few times and puts it in its holder and pushes it out.He does not use puncture point on gadget.Try it out that way.I was amazed by results.Wish cam had better sound and picture then cop cam.
those counter top ice makers are awesome! $99 and once I plugged it in and put water in it, i had a small batch of ice in like 5 minutes!
Love these wish comparison videos!
'Ice Genie' and 'Ice Magic' 😂. The first video I saw of yours was with the Ice Genie!
The night vision glasses do help those of us with night blindness, helps glare and car lights not be so overpowering. Like your vid's still checking them out. Thinking of subbing, will you be doing grills? Nu Wave XL?
