First!!!!!!! 😂
That bug guard is the single most item responsible for you receiving the car in MINT Condition!
I guarantee you with 100% certainty, IF the big guard wasn't installed you'd have stone chips on the front of that car in the paint in addition to the upper chrome!... Bottom line is it's not hurting ANYTHING (aside from slightly dismissing the look but REAL CAR GUYS know better and look past it because they're fully aware of the bigger picture and understand the importance of preserving original paint!) and the reality is that's one add on that doesn't hurt the car and frankly it comes off nice and clean by removing a few nuts. If some guy came in to buy it and told you he wanted it but he didn't like the look and asked you to remove it because money isn't an issue and he's going to make it his daily driver and drive the wheels off it and can't stand the look of it or even image having to drive it to it's death with that on the hood, remove it! To remove it for ANY OTHER REASON WOULD BE A DISSERVICE TO THE CAR AND THE NEW OWNER!.... But, what do I know?
Whats that mean?
How much do you intend to sell it for? Very serious inquiry
All my life I was a fan of Cadillac, and the way you show them and talk about them the more I fell in love with them, the test of traveling with those tires is proof of the quality that General Motors always imposed on this car division, but, Cadillac It's Cadillac (I love Lincolns, don't be mad)
Very impressive drive. Not many people can make a thousand miles look like a drive around town.
Hello Anthony & Papa Bear, this Cadillac is spectacular!!! If you keep the bug deflector then you need to put curb feelers on it on both sides to make it an official old lady car!!! Thanks for taking me along on this fun adventure!!! 👍👍🙂
Thank you Christopher. I sure do remember those curb feelers. Papa 🐻 & Anthony
The shield is giving me serious "I drive from Palm Springs to Vegas on weekends to spend my 401k" kind of vibe haha
😂😂😂
Hard to beat the excitement of a road trip when the tires are questionable.
Potential Boredom Relief
Same , I drove my 91 cadillac brougham from Florida to Vermont a couple of years ago. Great drive. 72 hours.
You are so lucky, the harder you work the luckier you get! Anthony and Papa Bear are both amazing.
Thank you George for that comment. Papa 🐻 & Anthony
I never worried about tires. I bought an old original car and drove it home and wherever, sometimes with tires that were 50 years old. After seeing my buddy blow a tire on a cherry 67 Fairlane GTA 390, and destroy the front fender, all that changed.
I’d leave the deflector, Anthony. It gives a nod to the folks that owned it, whomever they were. Someone really cherished the car. Leave it there if you want.
I’d leave the deflector also. Very period correct. Similar to 70’s curb feelers.
Hey Anthony great video I’m glad you made it home safely on those tires 🛞 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👍🏾
Yeah get rid of the bug shield. Period correct or not it needs to go into the dumpster. I had 8 year old GoodYear tires on a 66 Thunderbird that were on there when I bought it. They literally looked great, no sign of rot, etc, etc. The right front blew at 45 mph and beat up the inside of the wheel arch. I don't trust old tires now. That said, I am glad that you made it. Maybe the coolish weather kept you from having a blow out. Beautiful car and the best part is all of the documentation in the spiral bound notebook.
Atleast put it in the trunk lol
Glad you made it out of Chicago alive.
She is beautiful. Take that deflector OFF!! I’m so happy you are home safe. Thank you for taking us with you
Nothing is too challenging to bring home a great Cadillac. This is definitely stunning.
Great video Anthony. Thanks for taking me along for the ride. I would have gladly gone along with you..Congrats on another great find.
the drama in this video was off the charts, you could have got carjacked at that Homeless encampment or a tire blowout on the highway and then some lady starts threatening to jump off a building, thanks for taking us for the drive along 🔥
You are a road warrior, sir! Most I've ever done solo was Portland, Oregon to Salt Lake City, just under 800 miles. I did that on a full night's sleep at age 22 and was utterly exhausted by the time I got done. My limit these days is about 650-700 miles in a day.
Beautiful d’Elegance! Glad you made it home safe and sound….that bug deflector really is different…
Amazing car, Anthony! I have to say that those original 30 some year old tires were very well made to go almost 1000 miles and at @ 65 MPH!
I did the same thing. No one could see the manufacture date of the tires on my '89 Brougham, and I visited Detroit historical museum realizing that set was from the factory. I immediately ordered a set of new white tires but the tire broke 3 miles away from the tire shop.
You came thru my town Cleveland on 90 and didnt tell me lol. Glad you got thru here...and the Cleveland Gaurdians baseball team play at that stadium you passed. Growing up in the 80s and 90s my folk owned several Caddy Sedan deVilles, even the craptastic Cimmeron which I hate to this day.
Great find. Glad you had it home safe. I don’t think I would have took that chance with those tires. God is good all the time.
Wish I had a bigger garage to fix this car.. my e38 (17 original miles) and my RX7 FC with 60k miles already cramped in the garage since I picked up a Red 1995 Stealth with 20k miles, Someone is buying a gem!!!
Absolutely stunning car. Me personally would re-install the original radio, even if it doesn’t work. Modern radios in old cars just looks hideous and would bug me all the time.
Agreed!
Anthony will surely take that modern radio off.
When the AC Vents were above the Radio, Aftermarket Radios looked okay, but with the Vents on the Sides, that DIN Filler looks Hiddious. Would have looked better if the Slot was under the Radio, not above it
Amazing time capsule and as a bonus? Original window stickers. WOW!!!
Glad the tires held up. Great trip. Great fun watching
Thanks so much for taking us with you Anthony. You are AMAZING Man.....I admire you so much. You found this Beauty and took a risk and drove her all that way home, and now you have this incredible machine. I think I would take off the Bug Deflector as it was not on the original car, but I am kind of torn on it. Its also kind of cool. I am sure you missed Papa on this Trip. Good for you making it all the way back trouble free. !!!!
Beautiful car. Glad you made it all the way home!
Take a shot every time Anthony says “phenomenal”
I would wager you have a waiting list of customers who have placed orders for these types of classic cars. Easiest sale in town.
He list them and they take months to sell. What you talking about
@@wileecoyote5749 Not those cars and not this guy.
AMAZING FIND! Thanks for sharing your trip with us, Anthony!
Anthony: That was your best video yet, in my opinion. What a great story showing your devotion to your trade. Two Thumbs UP Brother!!
Thanks for sharing. It is a beauty. I would join the “too bad you couldn’t have shipped group”…but you do what you need to do!! Be safe out there😊
I'm so mad there was a beautiful almost mint Caddy of my dreams miles from my house that was for sale!!! Now it's 900+ miles away 😂
I wonder why the trunk lid wasn't lined????? Please wear your seatbelt!! What a great adventure! The only thing I missed was Papa Bear! Put on the new bug deflector!! Keep that beautiful car just as it was for its whole life. Is it me or is it that this Cadillac does not look anywhere near 32 years old?? It's timeless!
Thank you Michael. Maybe next time. Papa 🐻
Love the bug shield. So period correct! Fantastic Cadillac.
Hey Anthony,
It was great talking to you yesterday morning at Hershey, and thanks for taking a few minutes out of your day to chat. I really enjoy your content especially the Caddy's! Looking forward to seeing your latest acquisition from PA. Thanks Again!
Chicago is an amazing city and place to live. Yes, there are hot spots, but there are hot spots wherever you go. Great car!
Back in Brooklyn i had the same exact car back in 1988 i truly loved it. Whenever i meet a girl i never needed to get a hotel room once the front seat where pushed forward the back seats was like a studio apartment 😂😂😂😂😂😂the car paid for itself
😅 You just reminded me of my 98 Deville! Lmao
Hi Anthony, you have a tough life getting to driving those beautiful Cadillacs!!!
You should consider having someone 3D scan those rear fender fillers & then correct & perfect all the angles to smooth them into the fender & chrome bumper surrounds, & sell them!
The tv show BitchinRides uses the Stratasys - they have dealers/shop locator on their website......in fact, 3D scan all those euro mouldings.
Beautiful! I’d take off the bug deflector, mud flaps (they’re horrible), new headliner, straighten the steering wheel, put original radio back in! And new tires.
🇺🇸 *LOVE this Brougham* !! *GREAT low mileage Cadillac* !! *Laughing at that 'interesting' car on the interstate* !! *FAB job Papa Bear and Anthony* !! *Anthony, GLAD you made it home from Chicago safely* !! #SpecialtyMotorCars 🇺🇸
Thank you Susan. Papa 🐻 & Anthony
I can smell the new from here! 👍
Someone is going to have a very nice Cadillac.
I buy and sell classic cars all the time. The question of old tires........My model is that if the car is super low miles and are still wearing the tires the car came with when delivered new, I keep them on. ONLY because so many of my clients are collectors and they WANT the car as original as possible! I never recommend driving at high speeds or long distances as something could happen. If you choose to drive a nice low mile original classic, you MUST keep the originals with them for collectibility purposes!!! And I love when the cars come with paperwork like this car has!! GREAT FIND!!!!
I know the feeling, I finally found a 2003 Deville DTS with 33k, White Diamond and drove it 50 miles on dry rotted tires but smiling the whole way home.
Incredibly sketchy to drive on those tires! Lol, glad you made it safely
Is it stolen? Did you do a vin check? I sure pray so. License bureaus are closed on sundays.
Biggest thing wrong is the Headliner Glue but that would be expected. Nice car.
All the GM cars from the mid 80’s to early 90’s seemed to have headliner issues.
My 1986 Buick Park Ave did the same thing. 😒
@@B3burnerAs did also my 1977 Sedan De Ville, alas. :( But, ironically and unexpectedly, not so in (and of) my 1986 Fleetwood Brougham, uncharacteristically. (It was true also of both my 1985 Lincoln Continental and my 1985 Dodge Aries, I think.) I saw someone replace it, the headliner, in 1980's Cadillac with a black-and-white checkered fleece blanket, which I thought was kind of cool. I mean, it looked neat.
Hey Anthony, I just like to mention how awesome you're still happy as a kid when you find another car like this. Shows how still passionate you are about these cars after all these years. Peace.
Sweet car Anthony!! Great to see you and glad you made it home safe
You are a champ. I love your choice of cars
You know how I feel about that blue velour Anthony!!! Plz take the bug guard off 🤙🏻
I know you drove all that miles wishing Papa Bear to be with you all the trip!
Thank you Pal. Maybe next time I will be there. Papa 🐻
Love these road trip videos!
Nice d’Elegance! Glad you made it home safe! You got to tell us where you come up with these gems! I would take the bug 😊deflector off…. Not original equipment.
What a great road trip!
That Cleveland driver driving that rearended car probably got a fat check from his lawyer.
You did it! I like seeing videos like this of older GM cars making the long distance journey across the country showing their worth. You have had a few great videos like this. I thank you for sharing the back ground story.. Thank you for taking precautions too. Good for you Anthony! I like the velour interior. I am not a fan of the aftermarket cd player either. They only way to travel is Cadillac Style.
Nice outro, thank you for your APPRECIATION to your subscribers Anthony!😮
Hey Anthony, What a Beautiful Find!! Thanks for sharing this, That Was Fun, You Did A Great Job, I don't think that I could do that drive now, but it was Cool watching, I'll be looking for this Car. Take Care and Be Safe 👍‼️😊
Wow Anthony as always you have the nicest Cadillacs on the planet the last real Cadillacs appreciate you sharing
Even the coolant overflow is pristine - usually the heat makes these all cloudy and faded.....
Wow! One Beautiful white GM car after another! I say leave the bug deflector , as you said , it’s period correct and definitely not something you see anymore.
Awesome job brother, hell I would have gone with you😁 true road warrior❤️
I love these older Cadillac.
Hey there, I was just wondering if these 5.0 broughams feel like they have a lack of power. Obviously they aren’t a race car and aren’t supposed to be I just didn’t know if it could get out of its own way or not.
My 2004 Lincoln Town Car with 35k miles is still on its original Michelin tires from 20 years ago! I did a video of it on my page and although I haven’t had an issue with them, definitely need to replace them ASAP 😅
Do not drive on highways with them.
What a fun adventure at first thought, then 10 hours into the trip reality sets in! Beautiful car, definitely a flip sale. I’d keep the original bug visor on and shelve the new one.
That cat is icecokd! Can't wait to see it when you clean it up. Be safe on the road
my favorite you tuber !
I think you can make it on the tires if you 1:find the nearest tire shop along the way. 2: Keep an eye on all the tires, including the spare all the way home. You should make it 🤌🤙👍✋️🫵.
Hello Anthony, I do not know how you do it by getting these great cars. Keep that bug deflector, it does a great job, I had one on my Mack tractor when I drove trailers & never had bugs on my windshield. KEEP IT ON. Bob with the 1949 series 60 special Fleetwood ALL BLACK with black wall tires.
I’m curious, do you prefer the dual headlight Cadillacs (like this one); well I mean dual lenses… or do you prefer the quad lens look?
Hey Hey Poppa 🐻 and Anthony what another Beautiful Cadillac 😊😊🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Thank you Pal. Papa 🐻 & Anthony
Beautiful car!! When I’m ready for a ride like this I’m looking you up. Btw, I feel your pain not having a gall bladder anymore lol.
Beautiful car Anthony....just take the bug deflector off...maybe you should put some tires on for the sake of safety....used tires can get you home safe..
My Dad swore by these style Deflecta- Shields. In fact my 1985 Chevrolet Caprice i have from him still has the one on it. That one is tinted dark blue. This style actually does work to keep bugs off the windshield.
That is a beauty and love the mud flaps!! Do they still make bug shields?? I need one on my car I have so many scratches from rocks on the front of my car, sounds like you didn't trust the guy but he sold a nice car.
Anthony, you've done it again. 🏆. Last of TRADITIONAL Cadillac classic elegance! Once owned an 89 BROUGHAM DEELEGANCE with plush tufted velvet seats like these. Letting it go was one of my greatest mistakes! Subsequent 93 BROUGHAM didn't come close to the 89 in quality and had multiple issues! Sure hope this monument to the GREAT American Land YACHT! 👍
Love ur road trip I watch the whole video 💯👍 & I love the car 91
Anthony,
You really liked that Fuel Log Book and said; “Who does that still?” Well, I do! My Daily Driver is now 18 yrs. old w/275,000 miles and I have my log book which I have kept up for 17 yrs. now, since I bought it at 19,000. I also have every gas receipt and probably every oil change receipt and Repair done to it. So there are people who do that. Still. I have to special order my log books now from the Office Supply store as no one carries it in stock anymore.
I had a Cadillac like that just gave it away
Been smikimg the entire time watching this beauty being driven 1000miles!!! Stunnjng! Don't make then like this anymore!! And then the wreck on wheels....tied!!.... Lord!!!
Yeah you proved they are not too bad for around towns and those are perioid correct also
No Twilight Sentinel?
Incidentally the Twilight Sentinel burned to a crisp in my 1994 Eldorado a few years ago. I think the part was $600 or $800 from the dealer. I found one new old stock on eBay for $80. Works perfect. Literally 10 minutes to swap out the old for the new.
I don't know how you do it but, you find some very nice survivors!
I live about 3 miles from that Sheets...in Erie! Beautiful car!
Great car, great video. Love road trip videos 😻
Gorgeous Cadillac, looks as good as they day it rolled off the Detroit line. Still a solid runner for being 32 years old since was able to make that long journey. Even if the story the guy gave was true or not, at least the car turned out to be nice. Great video.
ultimate combo! lol! clevelands a giant commode with a broken flush handle !!!
I had one just like that one. Going start saving to purchase an other Cadillac. For my 50 the birthday.
Absolutely magnificent car!!!!
I love this 🤩 and oddly enough would love that bug shield on mine 🤔
Growing up. My father had a black one with black leather interior. Hot as hell in the summer sitting on ice in the winter. But got me to school quick enough
Honestly because it's not a cheap bug reflector I would leave it on, It doesn't take anything away from the beauty of the car.
That is one good looking caddy! I do wonder why the keys you show at 6:56 say one dealership, then another Cadillac dealer at 10:55 where it was bought. Considering the other strange elements of the story, it would make me suspicious. I hope everything works out!
You my man are a legend!
Welcome to the Windy City..
I would remove the bug deflector Anthony. That's just me though. I like a vintage car to look as original as possible.
The baseball field you went by is the Cleveland guardians team. I'm from Ohio. Nice Cadillac too.
