      Are you HIGH?
Cadillac now, for the first time in its long history actually builds cars that are as good or BETTER than anything the japs or even GERMANY (WORLD LEADERS) produce..
now, having a strong opinion about specific cars you love is totally acceptable, BUT, making erroneous statements about things is totally unacceptable and ignorant ...

Hey, Anthony...what more can I say? This is the kind of car that, if it were displayed at a car show, I would stand there like a geek, with my tongue hanginng out, just staring and marvelling at its condition. I would return to it several times during the day to ogle it once more. If you didn't have memories tied to your own similar Brougham, I could see you letting it go and keeping this one. Absolutely gorgeous! Thanks for making my day....once again.

At the end of the day, the appropriate price is whatever the market dictates. If there's a market; and this channel proves that there is indeed, and people are willing to pay the asking price, its difficult to substantiate the claim that its too steep. No?

it's not "just a 31 year old vehicle"! This IS AN AUTOMOBILE MASTERPIECE! It will outlast the garbage utility cars of today. This car is an awesome modern classic, that is gaining value! I'm so happy and grateful I was able to buy my '90 Brougham d' Elegance 5.7V8, back in 2016! This car is amazing!

@@paulgozzo9178 The thing gets me is back then it didn’t see so bad for a Cadillac costing 30 something thousand dollars. I mean what bothers me is how fast we got to theses now costing up to $110,000 dollars for a damn Tahoe and people will say but it’s a Cadillac nope it’s a Tahoe with a few extras. In 2012 I bought a brand new Silverado it was an upper level LT sticker was $39,900 I think I payed $34,000 if I had to replace it now it would be close to $65,000, but I will never by a new vehicle again for me it will a low mileage original from mid 80’s to the early 2000’s. I want nothing do with traction control, stable track, hold your hand this and hold your hand that computer this and that it’s a waste and it always tears up. Good to hear from you, when I see you in the videos it makes me think of the stuff me and my dad do together.

That is my favorite interior as well. I know so many people prefer leather but that velour tufted interior is the best and it wears very well. The only bad thing about this car is the 5.0 Liter, not the end of the world but it would be a primo car if it had the 5.7 Liter with tow package. Still a great car!

26:20, this beautiful car was the same $$$$ in 1991 as buying a $74,000 car today and this does not include tax....Remember back then they did not offer loans like today......back then you could usually not go over 48 months... This would be the same as having a $1,541 month car payment today with a 0% interest rate... Only the wealthy bought these cars and actually most paid cash....These cars, back then, are today the same class of people that are buying new Escalades and Navigators...

I had an 88 Brougham with unusually styled pillowed cloth seats (not the D'elegance tufted oddly -but were not standard seats either, sort of Park Ave. style pillowed) They were awesome to sit in all types of weather as you pointed out -never too hot or too cold. All my other Caddy's I drove after that seemed to come with leather which definitely wears different and has some comfort limitations verses cloth. Great example of one of these with the 5.0 liter🙂

A beautiful Caddy...from back when Cadillac actually made luxury cars. The exterior gave it real presence on the road, but the interior is magnificent. Try finding seats like that in ANY car nowadays!! Whisper quiet at highway speeds. Probably rides better than most modern luxury cars, too. I tell ya, I'm starting to look backward at stuff like this more than at the new stuff they're putting out. This one is really something special.

What's the big deal about old tires if the walls aren't cracked and the tread is good. Back in the day there were no date codes on tires. I put junkyard tires on my cars for years with no troubles. Its my opinion that date codes are just there so gullible people keep buying new tires all the time.

28:08 I just sat in a 1992 Lincoln Town Car at the auction the other day with the same type log book with meticulous records... Started off with 71 miles and ended in 2022 with 31,000 miles... The car still had 31,xxx miles... I googled the owner real fast and he died in 2022...It was a new car trade at the Honda store, it only brought $1,300+$200 fees...no one was even looking at it and it had the 6-digit analogue cluster, so I am sure everyone assumed it was 131,000 miles...

When I was 25, (1985), we bought a new Sedan de Ville, and I loved it! Maybe buying a plush luxury car was a bit odd for a younger person.
Then in 1996, I was 36, and we bought another new Sedan de Ville, and I loved it! At 36, I was still not the target demographic for a big Caddy.
Now in 2024, I'm 63 going on 64, and I AM THE TARGET DEMOGRAPHIC! But there's no big Caddys now, that market has dried up. All they make now is sporty, origami blister-looking sedans. I have a Viper and a new Ferrari, so I don't need any more sporty cars. I want a big, stately-looking, "floaty boat", that makes you feel fresh after a long trip, that insulates you from the bumps and road noise, a car with elegance, curb presence, and stature. "That" Cadillac doesn't exist any more! They can just keep their modern stuff. I liked the older, classic Caddys.
If I liked the white color, this one would be ideal for me.

So warm in the winter, cool in the summer, super quiet as velour absorbs sound.....so so so comfortable and helps you to stay in place vs sliding around on cold slick leather + imo a high quality cloth holds up better in the long run- I am talking about 25-50 year old cars....
