I still can’t get over the fact the man is found dead on the front lawn of a house he was invited to. He’s showing obvious signs of head trauma & yet Canton PD & MA State Police Detective determined there was “ No Probable Cause” to sea4ch 34 Fairview. They didn’t even try to obtain a search warrant nor did they ask their “ Friend” Brian Albert for permission. Apparently he was cooperating so why not say…” Hey Brian, would you mind if we had a look around” ?
If only their butts could talk, of course their butts would be locked up.
In what world do investigators let people leave to screenshot their text messages outside of their presence come back another day with the info and just take the witness' word for it?

higgins received a call at 2:22am from brian albert, around the same time jen macabe searched on her phone at 2:47 am Hos long to die in the cold. They all knew john was dead at that time .

It's disgusting. I worked in child protection for my local county, and they would call us out on a Facebook post that seemed questionable to our administrators. We were to represent the agency and our jobs at all times and to be respectable at all times. Even when we were on our own time. Which makes sense, we were setting the example.

The judge didn't even let Higgins answer to if he threw the sim card in one dumpster and the phone in another dumpster. Using federal technology for personal gain, that's a federal offense. Jackson is an amazing attorney, great job.

This judge literally just agreed with the "witness" and stepped in to rescue him when he wasn't sure if saying It doesn't take that long to drink a beer does it was a question or not. Obviously it was a question at 3:59. No wonder they asked her to recuse herself. We'll never know how the defense opened the door to harassment either just like we'll never know how that wasn't an obvious question.

It’s a non sense question - some people it takes an hour, some they slam it. I’d have no clue how long it takes to drink a beer and it seems pretty immaterial if you actually had anything to support your claim.

I can’t figure the non-response out. Why wouldn’t Higgins respond? At that point, did he have an idea in his mind that Karen hit him? I think the non-response favors the defense, but Jackson hasn’t broached that subject….yet.
I love how these witnesses can’t remember details like times. You know they have all talked many times about this incident
Over the last two years, they’ve made thousands of comments about this case and the harassment. They’ve lived this case since the murder. Some of the witnesses have admitted this, others have not.
I wish defense said “I know your use to be in control and asking the questions but today I’m in control of the questions”

The judge couldn’t seem any more uninterested in this case if her life depended on it. She sustains everything but the jury heard what Jackson needed them too.
EDIT: For those who are saying the jury will not like Jackson, you couldn't be any more wrong. Juan Martinez who put Jodi Arias behind bars had a way more aggressive approach than Jackson and when the trial was over the jury said in interviews they all loved J.Martinez style of prosecution. Their kind of style have an impact on the jury unlike Lally's.
Her tone and sighs, she seems so irritated by being there, it seems so rude. But I’m from the south, maybe that’s normal up north, a lot of the witnesses have seemed the same, cold, not caring.

@ 07:00 as far as i remember when Read drove off from John’s house at 5:08 am (near that time) her tail light was clearly illuminating and was clearly red as she pushed the breakes before turning left to look for John. And at 8:23 in the same morning when the police officers came to do the welfare check, the biggest chunk of red plastic was already absolutely missing - so it happened before Read’s Lexus was taken to custody.

Do we know what was the fight about? I keep hearing they fought over something before dropping him off at the house but not sure what was the fight about.
I don't think the prosecution has offered any explanation other than something set her off to murder him.

After a long day and night, this guy, Higgins, goes into the police station on his day off and claims that he didn’t talk to anyone about the case. Are you kidding me?!!! That was his sole purpose for being there. What else was he there for? He wasn’t working. He had a very long day and a night of many drinks.
This case is baffling. I originally thought Karen to be guilty. But lie after lie on the witness stand by almost every witness has changed my mind. Higgins is clearly lying here.
And if it turns out the surveillance tape of the sally port has indeed gone missing, I will then have reasonable doubt. I’m not saying Karen didn’t do it, but dozens of lies so far is just too much for me or a juror to say “yes, let’s send this person to prison for decades.”

O’Keefe family heard the true colors of Karen flirting and not liking helping with kids that were not hers
Speaks volumes! She continually states she is NOT "married" yet "knows best" with rearing children who are NOT HERS. She was also very quick to decide that she would NOT be looking after the children that were NOT HERS when it was yet to be confirmed that John was deceased. She didn't even stay around for longer than 30 minutes after the children were told.
She never spoke to them again, cut off contact immediately after his death so they already knew. John's mother still has contact with Jen McCabe and John's brother's messages to a blogger published online make it clear he believes Karen is guilty.

I don't think it gives motive. You don't have to kill someone to end a relationship. I'm stumped on this one. I'm not sure there was a cover up but I don't think she killed him. At least not intentionally. She wouldn't have had the speed or momentum to cause such an impact. If perhaps she did somehow do it I believe it was an accident with no intent to harm. Well probably never know 🤷♀️

Yep, he is obviously the best 3rd party culprit up and to this point. His motive is greater than Karen’s. Karen had the ability to just up and leave John, she didn’t need a divorce or his money. Higgins, on the other hand, felt that Karen had blue-balled him, leading him on for weeks, then ghosted him. Any reasonable person would be quite upset about this, especially if you were very attracted to the person (the case here) that led you on and then just refused to talk anymore or even give you a reason on why you were being ghosted. Upset enough to cause murder? I don’t know. But there is at least a shred of motive for a juror to consider.
With Read, the jury has to believe that she murdered John for a reason. What is that reason? There is none.
