There are certainly times where disrespect is the correct answer. Finding out your judge (who was already being very biased) and the prosecutor had a secret off the books meeting with a sworn witness is certainly one of those times. He was being incredibly proper in his reaction in my opinion, if the judge didn’t want to look so sketch focusing on extorting the lawyer to snitch was the wrong move.
And this judge has been _wildly_ disrespectful towards Steel in the past, openly commenting on Steel's preparedness in front of the jury, reprimanding Steel for the judge's own misunderstandings (also in front of the jury), etc. This is not the first time the two have butted heads; IIRC Steel has previously reported Glanville to the bar - deservedly so.
Mr. Steal is a living legend when the judge said, give me a name or your in contempt, the living legend basically said Ok put me in with my client. Not many other attorneys would be willing to go to jail for the client.
Mr. Steel has been rightly praised for standing up for his client so zealously, but he also deserves praise for protecting the source from retribution. Judges who violate the law like this Judge are worse than actual criminals. He needs to be removed from the bench, charged and put in prison forever. I imagine he has ruined thousands of lives if this illegal ruling is just his standard operating procedure.
“Tell me who told you about what I was trying to do in secret because it was wrong so that I could go after that person, if you don’t tell me I’ll use my power to intimidate you and hold you in contempt”
Why should that judge be addressed respectfully when he himself is acting in an underhand way? I'm not a legal expert but it seems obvious to me. The Georgia Supreme court has had to step in and suspend the contempt judgement so it looks like this is a dishonorable action by the judge..
Oh no, I actually disagree with Mr. Ben. Brian had absolutely every right to have the demeanor he demonstrated. In fact, I cheered when Brian said, “When this Honorable Court, no, no, no, let me correct that. When this court…” That was such a badass moment.
If you've been following this case from the start you know this judge and prosecution team have been doing lots of questionable things that are unhinged. He shows an obvious favoritism of DA Love and a disdain for Steele and Schardt especially. He has had jurors write letters, lawyers buy lunch because their phone rang, walked off the bench to take a phone call when the defense was presenting, one witness said she was s3xually harassed by one of the detectives and the judge said nothing. He comes to work with a service dog (nothing wrong with having a service dog) but a judge having one is alarming. If he cared he would step aside and recuse himself and give these guys a chance at a fair trial. Get the bad guys but do it the right way because it matters.
It's obviously a personal problem of the judge- he is a narcissistic bully on a power trip. Mr. Steele is one of the best and I love how he stood up for what was right. The public sees his integrity and faithfulness to his client. Judge needs to get lost and back off!!!
This judge is on a power trip! He's ordered essays, an attorney to buy lunch for his colleagues, now contempt for this awesome attorney because he bucked this judge's 'authority' in a nutshell. There is also another attorney who the judge is forcing to write an essay on professionalism with all of these requirements of the paper because he was a few minutes late one morning. How do defense attorneys work on their case if the judge keeps putting all of these tasks and requirements on them?
The lawyer that has to write an essay said he would just like to pay the $1,000 fine and the judge said no , write the essay! Wtf!?? Who has time to write an essay when in the middle of a clown show trial?? Unbelievable

this judge is giving so many reasons for this case to be appealed and overturned. There is something really wrong with the way the prosecution is moving in this case as well.
I think one of the biggest problems here at this stage is that the Judge is the only one that thinks he's not wrong. Classic narcissistic behavior. He thinks he's smarter than everyone else because he's not doubling down.
I am a retired cop, and know that this gang should go to prison, but in view of the dirty politicians/Willis/Judges in Atlanta, I am hoping the defense wins this trial

@@EffSharpmate, what? There's no identity politics here. What it is, is a clearly crooked judge incorrectly running the court room. If they're a gang, they should be convicted for it. Only if there is enough evidence. We need to maintain the standard of law. This is an embarassment.

I agree! I wouldn’t have any more patience or respect left for the judge at this point either. It’s been months of this judge making everything difficult for the defense.
That judge is a criminal wearing a robe.
He should have showed the judge respect? This judge needed to be called out for breaking the law! Respect goes out the window
Even revealing his source privately in chambers could be a problem if the person who divulged the information could be in danger of retribution if known.
Retaliation*
@@PagingDrMakeUp retribution was correct in that context???
Since the contempt hearing has to be heard by another judge, and this judge is the CHIEF judge in the county, any Fulton County judge would be holding a hearing that is against his/her boss. This contempt hearing needs to be moved to a judge outside Fulton County.
Pay attention to the state when they realize they’ve been caught. Guilty!
I saw that as well! Shaking head, whispering. I would love to hear what they were conversing. Shady trial. Wow. This judge should be taken iff this trial.
Yes!!!!
Yea and also it looked like love was texting the judge and doing head motions to the court reporter i noticed that yesterday i always zoom in her when they are caught. And notice she always do a fake laugh while shaking her head when one the defense lawyers expose something new.. that's a guilty conscience
@@teeetekkr3xx I say the same ,like they have an affair going on .....they need investigation put in place.
Someone should review every case this judge has seen. He’s obviously ignorant of basic laws
This was the most unprofessional I have ever seen a judge act knowing he should of recessed and talk in person . Wow! The judge should be taken off this case. At this point it SHOULD BE a MISTRIAL .

There was a NYC judge not long ago that was out of line and did shady acts too
Judges who violate the law like this Judge are worse than actual criminals. He needs to be removed from the bench, charged and put in prison forever. I imagine he has ruined thousands of lives if this illegal ruling is just his standard operating procedure.
Ashleigh merchant is one of the best attorneys ive ever seen in these criminal trials.
Yes!!! She's awesome!! Spot on!!
She's
Steve SAdow on TRUMP case! Don't forget it
Right?! The way she came busting into that courtroom with her pink jacket flying! Wow! 😂❤
Shes a DAWG!
Steele showed the judge more than an appropriate amount of respect.
“Tell me who told you about what I was trying to do in secret because it was wrong so that I could go after that person, if you don’t tell me I’ll use my power to intimidate you and hold you in contempt”
Lol! ORDER IN THE COURT!! Perry Mason.. 😂
Why should that judge be addressed respectfully when he himself is acting in an underhand way? I'm not a legal expert but it seems obvious to me. The Georgia Supreme court has had to step in and suspend the contempt judgement so it looks like this is a dishonorable action by the judge..
This judge appears totally and completely ridiculous and ignorant... He was BUSTED for inappropriate actions!
Not only is Judge Glanvill out of line, it's VERY CONCERNING as he is the chief judge for Fulton County.
Wow
And HOW MANY MORE PRIVATE MEETINGS HAS THIS JUDGE HOSTED WITH PROSECUTORS?!!!!!
Sham. Wow.
Judges on rotation…..it was (so called)his turn on case , not a head chief position over judges overall .
Fulton county has all kinds of problems
Judge is gonna join everyone in jail 🤣
Fulton county is a joke.

What does having a service dog have to do with someone's ability to be a judge?
You had me until you said a service dog should be a disqualifier. I'm not sure what having a service dog has to do with anything.
@@amberhough8005it depends on what the service dog is for

This slice of a judge has been antagonizing Steel from the beginning of this case, this is why steel is feed up.
Yes, i think the judge feels intimidated by Steel, it seems like he is seen as the best or one of the best criminal lawyers in the state.
This judge needs to be removed from this case. This is one of the most corrupt counties in the state. Now it's coming to light because this is a high profile, televised case.
The judge should either recuse himself or be removed from the bench. This is unacceptable behavior and very bias!!

Judge breaks the law and the lawyer goes to jail... Go figure.
The judge really asked how he found out about the ex parte meeting? He admitted it was ex parte 😂
It's crazy how so many people are skipping over addressing the 1st. problem, which led to the 2nd. problem. It's like saying that breaking the law IS NOT the issue. Someone TELLING you I BROKE THE LAW IS the issue. No integrity!
That’s like throwing cops in jail for arresting criminals lol
I don't think Steele was out of line pushing back on the judge like he did. The judge has been rude and condescending to the defense prior to this and there have been additional incidents of the judge being biased.
