Incredible! Just a thought....place the camera lower so we can see the flight instruments. I appreciate the effort! Thank you! Patrick from Albuquerque
Jason did you consider any other single turboprop before deciding on the TBM ? say the M600 or alike ? Thanks for the videos, your aircraft looks great inside and out. ...did you ceramic coat it ?
I thought a bit about the PC12 (love those) and the Citation Mustang (also great). Haven't heard great stuff about the Piper reliability so that didn't make the list - it is also pretty cramped, though certainly work-able. However, the TBM made the most sense for my missions - fast, relatively efficient and comfortable. It's also a really capable airplane for shorter runways compared to jets. Never did get that coating but I do think about it some. I did one of those self-applied ones for my car and think it helped it stay cleaner.
@@JasonFlies Thanks Jason.. yes interesting the Piper build quality has come up, theres a Piper event here in the UK later this month and was considering asking for a view of the M600 but have to say the TBM quality on everything you say so seem to be echoed by you and other TBM pilots (Steveo etc) Ha yeah I think I did the same on my car but lost patience.. theres a guy who has a channel and he is a airplane detailer and has done some TBMS with paint correction...Looking forward to the next video cheers !
Hi! I'm working on an improvement project for the TBM 930 in Microsoft Flight Simulator. Does the torque decreases while you climb, if you don't move the throttle? If yes, at what altitude it starts decreasing? And how much effect on torque does the inertial separator have?
Hello there Jason, I have just recently bough a TBM940 and am really enjoying flying it when able. However, I would love to know any tips you have to reduce the level of wear and tare on the aircraft. Also, are there any tips in general for flying the TBM and maintenance? Plus loved the Video! The TBM910 reminds me of my plane. I haven't flown her for a month now due to Covid!
Congrats! Not too much to share beyond the basics - I will say most people try to save the wheel brakes and instead rely on reverse thrust and just rolling out to the next taxiway when able. Those can be pricey to replace (brakes). Big debates on battery management when in storage. I use a proper battery minder when in the hangar at home and typically kill the battery connection via the breaker in the front luggage area when parking elsewhere. Also, when leaving somewhere in cold weather, read up on the procedures/limits in the POH for engine start. Really helpful to get the airplane a bit warmed up in a hangar in those cases.
@@JasonFlies thank you so much for the reply and the tips! Happy flying. I am going to take her for a flight tomorrow :) Just planning the route right now.
Hi @Jason TBM. I have to say, I fell in love with the TBM as soon as I opened the door, moved the crash bar up and selected BAT etc. When we got going and departed, it flew so nice and smooth. The flight was slightly bumpy when we got to cruise but other than that it was great. Landing was also smooth and when I shut her down it reminded me of the delivery flight a month earlier! I can't wait to take her up again next week. When are you taking your bird for a spin?
Pretty cool! But I think I like regular cam better. Would be nice to have startup/takeoff/landing with a focus on the glass displays
Amazing video! Really enjoyed
Hi Jason...always good to have very long arms to reach everything...keep up the good work..we always enjoy watching your posts ...

Thanks Jason. I would like to know why you replaced your SR 22 for TBM 900. This topic will be very interesting.
This is awesome!!! Longer vids!!
That’s pretty cool, although I think I like regular camera better, not sure what I should be panning to see or not....
But still pretty cool!!!
Thanks, thought it’d be fun to try out though! 😀
Thanks Jason.
AKA living the dream life! Love your videos!
