My bands are awesome. Ive been shooting these for around 3 months and no breaks at all. Im shooting 3/8s ammo with bands cut 6.5 in. Long. These bands are great I have 10 packs put up in a dark drawer with all my other stuff. Thank you for great slingshots, bands and everything simple shot!!!! 😅😅😅😅😅
I absolutely love these clay bands. Im using 3/8 clay ammo cut down to 6inchs and it has lasted for almost a month at this point on a single band. Thousands of shots. Im not sure what kind of voodoo magic is rubbed on these bands to make them last the way they do but keep it up.
Thanks, Nathan and Simpleshot team!!! This solution is genius and generous. PS- I shoot 1/4" steel with the die cut tapers for 1/4". I just ordered 3 more packs that came super fast through USPS just I'm case someone new to slingshots want to start tying their own band sets. Try these. They're awesome.
This is great. One of the things I struggled with learning was knowing which bands could work with which ammo, especially practice/eco-friendly ammo (like clay). Including exactly the type that they shoot with the correct bands is awesome for beginners, and I'm glad it's not driving the price up either. Less extra intimidating research and making sure you're ordering the right stuff for people who just want to get into shooting. So it's nice that "Simple" Shot is really embodying the name with keeping the barrier to entry low and welcoming to everyone.
@@simpleshotinterestingly guys you know like gamekeeper john and chris from catapult carnage; can hit 20mm disks 10 outa ten times . I was expecting the rig to be better but it wasnt?? With steel i mean. Whats the deal with that? Cos humans make errors?
Draw weight has little affect on accuracy on a jig like that and HUGE affects on accuracy when you draw and hold by hand. Great video, thank you Simple-shot!
I can't think of a better solution to your "conundrum". I also like your demonstration and comments about the results you are getting. Your videos are one of the most attractive/ helpful features of your business and you just made your products match those lessons. It will be even easier for me to send new folks your way. I do that now but I ask them to come ask to come back me so I can give them bands that help them learn. Thank you for giving so many people a good start in this sport.
Number one...... Excellent video. More data driven videos like this please. Very informative!! Second and most importantly.....Very well done 👍! This is a fantastic solution to the dilemma posed in the previous video. I'm impressed. Nicely thought out and executed. Thanks for updating and in my opinion upgrading the Simple Shot experience.
Thank you for another great video, i made an order today, i have i think almost every one of the simple shot sling shots, but the new one im going to carry with me eveywhere i go, and i love the mini keychain one, nice
I love my Simple shot!! You guys made it sooo ez for me to start shooting as soon as I received my sling! So for that thank you 🙏! I do have a question… Can I shoot the steel ammo you gave me with the clay bands? I love the heavy bands, but if I can shoot faster with the clay bands. Then I’ll give that a go. I like steel ammo because they are reusable 💯. Clay shatters sometimes. So should I just put the clay bands on my next Simple shot even though I prefer steel ammo?
top shelf video Nathan, very informative / invaluable for shooters, thank you for taking the time to instruct and advise. Can you please post what trigger mechanism you were using in this video and where you got it ? ( BTW, hope you're still enjoying that Native American "Style" flute I made you some time back )
Is there a chance we could see other colors or special colors for the Sparrow slingshot? A clear translucent and glow in the dark color for the sparrow would be nice. I do appreciate that you have a slingshot that you can put glow in the dark attachments on however, I can't justify buying another slingshot that I cannot be certain I'm going to find comfortable to shoot.
Wow I thought u was pulling out a yard stick. U just don’t see them much nowadays and I herd that there is only 1 company making them now and they said that they are not making them any longer
You want to make sure your bands are matched to the ammo weight that you are shooting. Heavy bands at full elongation does not mean your ammo will go faster.
Awesome video Nathan and team SS! I run a very similar taper on the .7mm for 3/8” steel ammo. I believe my velocity should be similar. Can you tell me what velocity for 3/8” steel ammo is your recommendation for hunting small-medium game? I struggle with skunks and raccoons on our property.
Great info and I’m learning a lot. But I went through two bands with less than 100 shots. Is there something I’m doing wrong. Too new to know what I’m doing.
It does sound like there is a mismatch somewhere. Please come to our Live Chats feature on our website to get some help in diagnosis. I will link it below. simple-shot.com/
That is 4 times the relaxed band length. If your draw length is 30 inches, you divide that by 4. That gives you 7.5. You will want your bands to be at 7.5 inches long of active band length. You will also want to have some extra length to attach the bands to the slingshot.
Thanks very much,, this style of slingshot is new to me, I'm used to the old square rubber bought in various mtr lengths or the Barnet round surgical type, but I got what you mean thanks 👍
literally the most in depth testing done with slingshots. Keep up the great work Nathan
Thank you so much. This is the best way that we can demonstrate.

What band thickness are you using and taper for you're 1/4 ammo, I'm really curious, the flat band slingshots are something I got into last year
Hi Nathan,
As always, your online tutorials are absolutely invaluable.

There are many other factors such as wind, how long the bands are drawn back for, etc. There are a lot of factors to accuracy.
Draw weight has little affect on accuracy on a jig like that and HUGE affects on accuracy when you draw and hold by hand. Great video, thank you Simple-shot!
Absolutely! The jig helps us learn SO much.
You are RIGHT ON and that's why we do NOT recommend heavy draws. They will make you less accurate!

Great idea!
Really happy with this change.
I have a collection of unused bands that came with my slingshots :)
Thank you for letting us know.
Awww man!!! I just received my sparrow yesterday with the thick bands!!😕 I should have waited.🤦♂️
Sorry.

Nathan said that is the best flute in his collection. He does not remember where he purchased the trigger. He thinks it was likely AliExpress.

I know, it is said. They are so useful!
You mentioned that there are better ways to get the velocity than going 6x on the heavy bands. And how is that?
You want to make sure your bands are matched to the ammo weight that you are shooting. Heavy bands at full elongation does not mean your ammo will go faster.
Awesome video Nathan and team SS! I run a very similar taper on the .7mm for 3/8” steel ammo. I believe my velocity should be similar. Can you tell me what velocity for 3/8” steel ammo is your recommendation for hunting small-medium game? I struggle with skunks and raccoons on our property.
You won't be so worried about the speed as the energy it carries. I would look to lead ammo that moves slower but carries more energy.
Thanks team! I’ll look into it
Is there a way to like “actually” converse with you. I have comprehensive data on such matters as well pertaining to “take”

Do you ship to sweden?
Yes, we can ship to Sweden.
Hi, the bands are tapered right? Are you trimming from the fat end? The taper changes as you cut.
Yes, you do trim from the flat end and it will slightly change the taper depending how much you trim off.
@@simpleshot So it can be a lot faster if trimmed from the pouch side.
If you tie your own band and are able to retie the pouch on, yes, it would have slightly more power if trimmed from the narrow end.
👍🏾👍🏾💯❤️
Thank you!

What does 4 x mean
That is 4 times the relaxed band length. If your draw length is 30 inches, you divide that by 4. That gives you 7.5. You will want your bands to be at 7.5 inches long of active band length. You will also want to have some extra length to attach the bands to the slingshot.

The modern slingshot latex has come a long ways!
I never got my package from you😭
Please come to our Live Chat and we will be glad to help you out!
How much time does the shipping last? Because if i bought from you 2 weeks ago when will it come?
Please come to our live chat so we can look up your order. We won't ask for personal info here!
You dont ship ammo international 💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔💔
The samples will be included but we still cannot ship bulk ammo.
Can you please do comparison between thinnest and thickest band speed test... like 0.45 mm vs 2mm rubber band?
We do not carry any latex that is 2mm thick. More tests are coming though.
