    These are the best slingshot fundamental steps on the RUclips after I've been watched tons of others. If you follow and keep practice as Andy & Nathan instructed, you'll advance and master to the next level easily. People usually say "the best teachers create the best students" I believe that.

    A week ago I got into looking for a slingshot for a Bug Out Bag. I was very surprised to see how they have changed since the 50's. In our little gang of kids we all had sling shots. One day I remember getting my Mom to buy me a really nice one to show off in front of the other kids. If she only knew what us mean little kids did ha. We never shot at animals though just old buildings windows etc
    I looked at many and saw the one you're holding in your hand and liked it more than all the others so I ordered it from Amazon USA to Canada, should arrive this week. Then I saw your video and see many people recommend it so I made a good first timer choice. Ordered two other ones as well.
    Going to watch all your videos, good learning stuff.

      @@fishmut Why should I worry about some foreign countries laws. Do you worry about pork being illegal in Saudi Arabia while consuming bacon in north America. I'm in Canada and it's 100% legal so why should I care about slingshots being illegal in Iceland or North Korea or every foreign country it the world. Americans sell AK47's to 18 year old children and you're worried about shooting glass 70 years ago at an abandoned building that was 100 years old and falling down. It passed through Canadian customs from USA therefore it's 100% legal and I bought three of them including the sling bow, all 100% legal.

    This was a very informative video. I bought a sling shot to be able to retrieve my remote control airplanes that get "treed" using golf balls and my slingshot. Obviously these bigger projectiles are a bit harder to get through the sling shot arms, but the rubber inside these balls provide just the mass and springiness to bump but not destroy the airplane when it hits, or the branch to jiggle when the branch is struck, hopefully shaking the plane loose from the branch.
    Do you have any special tips for my particular target and ball choice? Thanks. - Jim

    Thanks Nathan... and Andy, for the tips... but, you forgot another major point (imho).... you never said anything about How you actually AIM to hit the target... what do you use on the slingshot itself (if at all?)... as a "sight" to aim at the intended target??

    Very helpful and informative! I've never actually thought that holding in front of the pouch could be the reason I get constant fork hits. Made 30 shots ,taking it very careful and didn't get any fork/hand hits. Just a question: how do you avoid fork hits when you have to make a quick shot at a fast moving target? (hunting)

    • @simpleshot
      @simpleshot  8 лет назад

      +LetsBuildIt Perfect practice makes perfect. Once you have the pouch hold instilled, it will be second nature.

    • @mshparber
      @mshparber 8 лет назад +1

      If you shoot moving target try to aim ahead of it while NOT moving the slingshot. It's confusing since when shooting with rifle you do want to continuously move with your target and continue moving while pulling the trigger.
      With slingshot first aim ahead of your target, then stop and release the pouch.
      Search RUclips for "Hunting pheasants with slingshot" they explain it well

    • @TimeWellSpentHere
      @TimeWellSpentHere 8 лет назад

      Michael Shparber Okey thanks, I'll make sure to check it out. I was trying to move with my target, and therefore hit the fork. Luckily it wasn't one of my better slingshots. Though I seem to have quite a fork hit collection at this point. Perhaps pouch measurements has to do with it.

    Question: I am right eye dominant but I hold the slingshot in my right hand.

    What should I do?

      @simpleshot  8 лет назад +2

      +Michael Shparber You can either learn to work with your cross dominance...it can be done and done well, but not ideal. Or you can work to strengthen your left arm...or use lighter bands that don't cause you to shake.
