Wonderful. Was searching for a stretchy bind off for a sweater neckline that doesn’t flare. And so easy.
This is the best stretchy bind off I've ever seen. It's nice and stretchy but doesn't flair out. I love it!
It's my go-to bind off. Thank you for the demo!
Great to hear!
i´m knitting my first sweater and the ribbing for the arms was not stretchy enough and this was exactly what I needed.
Very well explained, thanks a lot
Thank you! -- this is a rare video. I'll be using this method for the bottom of sweaters that are knitted top-down.
Thank you! I trust this tip will be useful for those!
This is EXACTLY what I needed for my project! Thanks for your clear and concise explanation!
Glad it was helpful! 😊
Thank you! This is exactly the tutorial I needed! Seeing the close-up of how the stitches are worked while hearing your explanation of the steps is extremely helpful. Hopefully this makes the cuff of my first sock a success! 😄🧶🧦
I'm glad to hear! 😊
Thank you so much! I had been about to ruin a beautiful neck warmer with a too-tight bind off, but then I found your video and it worked perfectly!
Great, happy to hear!
Just finished my first ever sock thanks to you! 😊
Thank you so much! 💖 xx
Lovely to hear 😊 I'm sure you will be making lots of socks in the future!
I just used this technique today! It works very well! And it is very simple to do.And to me, the finished edge looks neater than a standard bindoff.
Wonderful!
I knitted a pair of leg warmers two-at-a-time and I really wanted a nice and neat bind off. I don't like binding of with a tapestry needle so I only watched BOs with knitting needles. This bind off is awesome. It is really stretchy and it doesn't flare. Thank you so much for the tutorial. I will use this BO for all my ribbed bind offs.
Great to hear this was useful to you! It works for almost everything where you need to finish with ribbing!
This is a great cast off! I love that it stretches, but doesn't lay looking already stretched out like another popular rib cast off.
Well explained!
Great, thank you! 😊
When I first watched this video, I didn't notice that the direction of the yo depends on the next stitch presented. 🤔 So, yo counter-clockwise before a purl st; yo clockwise before a knit st. Practice on a swatch until you get the hang of it. I've been using it to bind off the bottom ribbing on top-down sweaters.
omgoodness, thank you so much bc I didnt catch that
Thank you, very clear explanation and video! Youvare a born teacher!
Thank you, happy to hear! Have a great day 🙂
Thank you very much for your clear, concise method for the bind off. Easy to understand and execute! Great video. Thanks again.
Glad it was clear and helpful! Happy knitting 😊
Thank you for the very clear video. I was making wrist warmers that are long enough to extend to the forearm so needed a stretchy bind off at the top and this is perfect!
Great, yes, this would be ideal for that!
Thank you so much for your teaching of the elastic bind off! It's so useful!
Great to hear 😊
thanku for the great tutorial i used it on my sweater to bind the waist off :) very happy
Wonderful, glad to hear it was useful!
It is really a nice bindoff. I used it on the the top down sweater sleeves and bottom of body rubbing 1x1 rubbing and it is very nice looking and very stretchy!
Yes, true, it is so handy!
Edges look so neat! Thank you
Thank you so much for this! I tried the ribbed sewn bind-off, and got really frustrated trying to memorize the steps. This was so easy to follow!
Glad it helped!
Thank you very much. Your instructive video is wonderful. Most helpful.
Great method!!! Thank you for sharing your talents...so much appreciated!
Thank you :)
Thank you for sharing this Video! Its very informative! I love how its done in Continental knitting.
Great, thank you! Yes, I only heard of other ways than continental knitting in my twenties 😊
thank you very much for this video, great technique and explained very well!!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Exactly what I need. Thank you!
Great to hear!
Thank you. This was the perfect cast off that I needed
That's great!
Thankyou! That was very clearly explained and very helpful.
Thank you, glad to hear! 🙂
Fabulous bind off can’t wait to try it
That's great 😊
Thank you. I did this, but because of your knitting technique I kind if had trouble with the direction of the yarn over. I'm an English style knitter.
Oh, true, it can take a while to do it in a different way! But the result is the same.
Perfect cast off for my project, thank you for the clear and easy-to-follow video. Just the right amount of elasticity and no flare. Simple to do after a couple of sts! Can you please recommend a complimentary cast on?
Wonderful! The only video I have about casting on knitting is an old one in Finnish, although the language doesn't matter much, it shows it so close-up. It's casting on while knitting ruclips.net/video/Yqopt-0gNIs/видео.html
@@TuulaMaaria Fantastic, thank you very much! 😀
Thank you so much for sharing!
Thank you!
Thank you !
Headbands and double brim hats too! Ty so much!
Yes, thank you, great for those too!
Thank you
I was thinking it is possible to bring both loops over at the same time? I cannot see how it would be different, right? If not please correct me. Will try this for my first knitted sock
Yes, if you can do that so that the two stitches don't create a lump. I would find that much harder to do, it is not easy to get the needle under the yarnover and the stitch at the same time. Much easier separately, to ensure it becomes stretchy. But yes, as long as the two stitches don't go too close together, the result is the same.
@@TuulaMaaria I tried it, and as you say it is very difficult to get underneath both! But I managed a couple of times... So now I understand why to take one at a time, it makes sense!
What is this called and is it hard to do with English style?
I'm not sure what it is called but it works exactly the same regardless of the way you knit.
