I love your videos! You are a great teacher. I always forget how to do the stretchy bind off and always come back to this video for help. PLEASE DON'T EVER DELETE IT!!!
Wow!! This is incredible. My jumper neckline was just like your cowl. I didn’t stand a chance of it going over my head. Tried it your way and it’s perfect. Thank you so so much. God bless you
This was soooo helpful! The best tutorial on the stretchy bind-off! So detailed but also upbeat and cheerful. My knitted piece now has a super stretchy bind-off! Thanks!!!
You really are a wonderful teacher. You not only explain what you are doing but show it as well. You also go nice and slow and repeat it which helps. Thank you.
I’ve been trying a stretchy bind off for a special item, and frogged constantly as they all looked so messy. So thanks very much for this very clear tutorial, neat and stretchy. Very happy 😊
Thank you so much! This video saved me! My great aunt passed away many years ago and had pieces of a sweater she knit, but it needed to be sewn together and have a collar added. After finally thinking I finished the sweater and trying it on, I literally had the same moment as you where I couldn't fit my head in! I of course panicked, but after redoing it with the stretchy bind-off, now it fits perfectly!
Wow, finally someone explained this in a way I can understand (being dyslexic doesn't help following directions, ha!). I have destroyed many a cowls before I found this today. Now I am eager to try again. Thank you!
This was brilliant! I knitted a hat but it was too short so added a few more rows but when I did a normal bind off and then tried in rib, the hat wouldn’t go on. Not one to give up, I found this video and it worked. I’m feeling very pleased with how it turned out so thank you for sharing this brilliant tip/technique
Thank you so much for this!! I have been trying to figure out a better bind off for my knitted blanket and I didn’t like how tight the traditional bind off was! I was worried it would be hard but this was so easy thank you thank you! 🎉
Great Video! Please make more videos, this is where I learned how to knit and I'd like to learn more from you! Stay Safe! (P.S: I'm an 11 year old boy who knits so yeah, hope to see more videos so I can use up all of my yarn to buy new yarn 😂) Please make more videos!
ooh! I should try this one the next time I cast off! by the way, thanks for all your videos and tutorials. I learned how to knit and went from being an absolute beginner to knitting up projects in no time! I've made quite a few hats using your pattern on straight needles already :)
Nicely done!!!! Thank you, I am always looking to increase my knitting technique and you are such a good teacher! Your video shots are so easy to observe along with your vocal instructions.
Thank you so much. I’m using a yarn with two strands of color and the other demonstration were having me slip through the back, which was too hard and made a mess of the yarn. This is so much easier.
Ah, hi. 😁 Yeah, so I've been isolated at a campground in Georgia for a month and a young woman who, with her husband were also stuck there. (sunny and 80s) But she could do amazing things with some yarn. I figured, I'm bored, this is creative and cool. I'll give it a shot. Your videos were, by a good margin the best. I'd noticed that you'd not done a video in a while so I was pleased to see you today. I'm still a total noob, but I can cast on like nobody's business! 🤣
Heya! So glad to hear that you've started knitting! And what a nice thing for your camp buddies to share knitting with you! Thanks so much for your kind comment, and happy knitting!
I literally messed up mine bcs i didn't watch till the end 😂 i was doing rib stitch for a sock and bind off the first normal way. This is why it's important to watch till the end, thank you for the tutorial!! So helpful
hey sis, i just learn to knit and your channel is the first place i go to and so far has the best well explained step by step 😘 just finished my 2x2 rib stitch with this bind off and it turns out soo stretchy 💕 hope you will make more knitting videos in the near future
OMG This is so awesome and helpful! I'm knitting with very loopy yarn and every other stretchy bind off I tried failed miserably. Your teaching technique is professional, personable and fun! Thank you thank you thank you! (ps love your adorable nails.)
Thank you for your help!!! You have awesome tutorial videos.. I love how you explain everything using easy-to-understand analogies. You seem to be a very intelligent person in other parts of your life. Keep up the good work!
I think I've got it, I have been doing half of what I remembered, now it makes sense. Thank you for clarifying what to do in a way that I could understand it.💖💖💖💖
This is soooo good to know! I just finished my first scarf and the bind off did seem tight. Thanks so much for your videos. I first learned to knit using your videos.
Oh my god, as a crocheter convert I was having trouble with the last step of this bind off, until I spent a few seconds staring at the bound off stitches... it's a single crochet! Switched to a hook in my right hand and it went way faster. I know a standard bind off is the same as doing crochet slip stitch across, but figuring this one out manually made me feel like a genius LMAO
Thank you. Your binding off is so stretchy, I love it… but I have a beginner’s question about picking up stitches around the neck. How should I do it so it is as stretchy as your binding off? Thank you! again!
It was so awkward trying to k2tog that I switched to a crochet hook in my right hand. I didn't have the same size as my knitting needles, but I used a haf size down and kept it loose. So much easier!
you can simply follow any sweater pattern and create your own neckband. The pattern would already give instructions but just keep going until you've reached your desired length
I started this bind off on the piece I am finishing (you are so much easier to follow than many others out there!). I realized too late I did not have enough yarn, so I am about a quarter way in on my bind off. I have to buy an entirely different yarn, because the yarn I have is discontinued. I can’t figure out how to tink back this particular bind off. Do you have a video on how to do it? Thanks!
Love this cast/bind off and your videos! It seems like I can also use this method to cast off in pattern with the last stitch being the deciding element for either a knit or purl cast off stitch (if that made sense). I am open to correction. Thank you!
Great bind off! I knitted a cowl for a 10-year old and ended up with a 13" circumference because I misunderstood something in the pattern. This bind off looks promising. It is also simple. Your instructions are always excellent. I used chunky yarn and cast on 70 sts. I even used a swatch because I haven't been knitting for many years and my tension was perfect. Do you think I will have to unravel and start all over again with a 13" circumference? Thank you for your wonderful tutorials.
Genius! I’ve just used this to cast off the neck on a sweater in rib, I’d had to rip it back as the cast off was so tight, your method really works, thanks so much!
Thanks so much for this. I'm trying to knit undergarments and super stretchy is just what I need, as well as the other women I know (don't tell them I said that, lol). Stay well,
Do you have a video where you show how to undo a stretchy bind-off? I did this, then realized its' actually much stretchier than I need, and would look better with a regular bind-off.
Yay! I’m glad to see a new video from you! I recently bought a batch of yarn to support my LYS during these closures that I think will work for the raglan sweater pattern. I’m thinking I won’t actually start it till later this summer though. It’s just too hot in Texas to think about sweaters!
You saved my sweater vest! I found a pattern online this summer and I love it. But the final cast off made the corners of the vest made the corners pull all the way up mid bust. Then I found your video. This bind off is perfect! My summer sweater vest is perfect now! Thank you for making this video.
hi can you tell me what camera and lens do you use for your excellent videos ? Please !!! I am starting my channel and i need to improve the video quality ! Many thanks and best wishes .
I love your videos! You are a great teacher. I always forget how to do the stretchy bind off and always come back to this video for help. PLEASE DON'T EVER DELETE IT!!!

Thank you❤ fir the stretchy bind off, saved my embarrassment, with my grandauggters hat, you are a fabulous teacher x
The most understandable video on a stretchy bind off that I could find! Thank you so much!
Davina girl! You're Back!!!! I always loved that stretchy bind off when I was knitting too cause yeah, I would bind off way too tightly! hee hee lol
Hey Kim! Thanks so much! I love following your card creations on Instagram! Hope you're staying safe during this time!
I’ve been trying a stretchy bind off for a special item, and frogged constantly as they all looked so messy. So thanks very much for this very clear tutorial, neat and stretchy. Very happy

Where has this video been all my life?-I can’t thank you enough!!!! This is sooooo excellent! 🙂
Aww thank you! Glad it helped!
Omg I just finished knitting a high waisted short and the bind off was so perfect by using this method ! Thank you so much !
That was helpful. Thanks.
I definitely needed this. Previously I was using extended single crochet as my bind off. This looks cleaner to me.
Thank you So Much for your instructions on stretchy bind off! I like it much more than traditional bind off! Thank Thank you ! 💕💕😊😊
Thank you so much. I worked on my circular knit cowl for more than a day binding off atleast 12 times. Your method really worked.
Thank you for this tuitorial. My necks were too tight when casting off normally. This makes such a huge difference.
Thank you so much for this!! I have been trying to figure out a better bind off for my knitted blanket and I didn’t like how tight the traditional bind off was! I was worried it would be hard but this was so easy thank you thank you! 🎉
You knit like me! These are the only videos that I have found in our knitting style, definitely be watching more - hooray!

Thanks for your kind comment! Glad you found the video helpful!
Im so glad you are back. I am a new knitter and I have been watching your videos. They are so clear and easy to follow. Thank you 😊
Aw thanks for watching! I’m glad the videos help you out!
Thank you so much. I’m using a yarn with two strands of color and the other demonstration were having me slip through the back, which was too hard and made a mess of the yarn. This is so much easier.
I missed this channel sooo much I’m so happy for a new video
Aw thanks! I'm so happy you enjoyed the video!
I totally agree. I thought this was one of those channels that got left behind but thank God that's not the case!
Ah, hi. 😁

Thanks, I've bookmarked this video and referred to it many times when I need a stretchy bind off and forgot how to do it.
I literally messed up mine bcs i didn't watch till the end 😂 i was doing rib stitch for a sock and bind off the first normal way. This is why it's important to watch till the end, thank you for the tutorial!! So helpful
Revolutionary! I’ve literally never know how to stop the cast of from being tight as all hell!
thank you so much for this! I am very new to knitting and i ended up using a crochet hook to do this technique but it worked so well!
Love the video & I’m really happy you’re back!!
Hope you and love ones are safe! Please keep posting! 🧺
This is a very stretchy, easy and quick bond off. Thank you
Thanks so much for this - just tried it on my ribbed sweater and it’s amazing!! How did I never know this before?
That was perfect! I make a lot of sweaters and when I get to the end I have a tight bond off on My sleeve and neck
A great solution thanks 😊
hey sis, i just learn to knit and your channel is the first place i go to and so far has the best well explained step by step 😘 just finished my 2x2 rib stitch with this bind off and it turns out soo stretchy 💕 hope you will make more knitting videos in the near future
I live this! Such clean edges from doing it this way! Glad I came upon this
I missed you! This is just what I needed for a friend's legwarmers :)
Aww thanks! I'm glad to be back!
Love your tutorial. Clear and easy to understand.☺

You're very welcome! It was absolutely game-changing when I discovered it!
I enjoy your tutorial sooo much , You should be a great comedian.
Subscribed after seeing just this one video. Demystifies technique ...clear, concise and well presented. I look forward to seeing more.
I think I've got it, I have been doing half of what I remembered, now it makes sense. Thank you for clarifying what to do in a way that I could understand it.💖💖💖💖

Sure am!
Wow, tremendous improvement on my tight neckband. Many thanks for making it so easy
Great to hear!
This is perfect thanks! Just made my first jumper and the waste cast off is too tight! Going to get it back on my needles and give this a go
thank you, this saved my sweater. i love u
Great video and I subscribed! I knit left-handed Continental, so it took me a couple of viewings of the video and frequent stops.
Thank you. Your binding off is so stretchy, I love it… but I have a beginner’s question about picking up stitches around the neck. How should I do it so it is as stretchy as your binding off? Thank you! again!
This is a good tutorial. For some reason, I thought this would be harder.
This video is perfect timing as I'm just finishing a project. Thanks!
It was so awkward trying to k2tog that I switched to a crochet hook in my right hand. I didn't have the same size as my knitting needles, but I used a haf size down and kept it loose. So much easier!
I'd love to have a tutorial for a turtleneck sweater! I can't find a good one anywhere 😅
you can simply follow any sweater pattern and create your own neckband. The pattern would already give instructions but just keep going until you've reached your desired length
You just saved my first chunky sweater!!! I just couldn't cast off the neck without it being 0% stretchy 😭
Thanks Sofia from Egypt
You could say she really… saved your neck👀
Omg I absolutely fell in love with you the first time I found your video. Love your wittiness and the quality of all the videos. Keep it up!!!
You are awesome really helps to solve the cast off stretchy well done 👍 🇬🇧❤️🤗🙋♀️

Aww thanks so much! I appreciate your kind words :D
omg I love your tutorials, your knitting method is so different than mine, but I always have a goooooood laughs watching you!
Thank you. You have saved my sweater project
Life changing-!!! I used it to bind off sweater neck
LOL at the intro. BRILLIANT class thanks xx
Great bind off!
I knitted a cowl for a 10-year old and ended up with a 13" circumference because I misunderstood something in the pattern. This bind off looks promising. It is also simple. Do you think I will have to unravel and start all over again with a 13" circumference?
Thank you for your wonderful tutorials.
Love your tutorial so easy to follow you’re very good at this!
Genius! I’ve just used this to cast off the neck on a sweater in rib, I’d had to rip it back as the cast off was so tight, your method really works, thanks so much!
So glad it worked for you!
Excellent demonstration thank you so much Davina!
Thanks so much for this. I'm trying to knit undergarments and super stretchy is just what I need, as well as the other women I know (don't tell them I said that, lol). Stay well,

Very helpful video, easy to follow and works brilliantly. ❤️ Thanks
Do you have a video where you show how to undo a stretchy bind-off? I did this, then realized its' actually much stretchier than I need, and would look better with a regular bind-off.

Thanks Davina!! You always have such great videos, and this was another one for my toolbox. Much appreciated!😁
You're so welcome! Thanks so much for watching!
0:10 exactly what got me here 😂
I got the same issue 😭😭
Thank you, for sharing this technique with us. I am binding off a twisted rib and I wanted something stretchy. You make it look easy. ❤️🧶
You saved my sweater vest! I found a pattern online this summer and I love it. But the final cast off made the corners of the vest made the corners pull all the way up mid bust.
Then I found your video. This bind off is perfect! My summer sweater vest is perfect now!
Thank you for making this video.
Davina, this tip is awesome... thank you 🤗
you’re back!!! YES!

You're baaaackk!!!! ♥️
I would love and appreciate it if you can make a video on how to knit a chunky jersey. I just found your channel and I love your videos! 🤗
It works!! Thanks a million!!

Thank you for teaching me !

You haved posted in ages! YOU'RE BACK
