How fantastic to see The Toys doing something other than "Lover's Concerto." Watching this clip, you wonder how far and how big The Toys could have become with the right promotion, management and songs. They certainly were cute, but they also have a certain kind of presence here. It's just unfortunate that outside of Motown, none of the other record companies seemed to know how to build their girl groups into long-term artists. Then again, I don't think any of them were thinking long-term; just get the hits, make the money and move on to the next group when this one stopped selling. A shame as The Toys were really good.
Don't you notice that Shivaree had alot of amazing Girlbands on The Show. Them, The Supremes, The Crystals, and The Shangri-Las. I don't remember Martha & The Vandellas and The Marvelettes on the show. I love this Channel.

This is better than "A Lover's Concerto", but their masterpiece "Hallelujah" towers above them both, for various reasons.
