Anytime a sword drops it’s usually not worth going after since all swords drop with pretty similar perks. If they want to buff caster frames, I think they should go for an anarchy approach and make the heavy’s effect last for a long time.
Do u feel different about them now?
@@michaelharper5693 Not really. The only new thing is eager edge on The Slammer which is currently worse than The Other Half for movement. It will be slightly better when its perks can be enhanced but it really is not crucial and the sword performs the same as other swords regarding dps.
I fell asleep watching RUclips last night and I woke up to this video playing, needless to say it's all over the screen now, great video😊
Caster frame Stasis sword might be good. If it freezes and shatters with one cast.
Ooo yea with like cold steel? That would be cool
Oh shit that genius lol. I would def grind out for that just with how fun it sounds to use. Like conditional finality as a sword
Yay! Been waiting for this video! Happy belated birthday! 🎉
Love you're videos been watching you're stuff since stw
Never expected a Whalers sweater in your video… nice!
Such a shame that the loot isn't good. The dungeon is so fun compared to the others.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!! I love your vids ur great at what you do and have good game knowledge. Keep up the good work!
I'm very disappointed in the weapons. I don't understand why they couldn't give the dungeon either an auto, pulse or scout rifle. or even an SMG.
What’s up man! Can’t wait to see the new rolls
Happy birthday dude!
I will say the sniper rifle looks like a fishing pole. If someone handed that to be in a battle I would laugh, toss it aside and grab my spork from lunch to use instead. My buddy I ran the dungeon blind with got the exotic and the legendary side arm to drop. The side arm had bacon rounds and volt shot. So he never has to run the dungeon again.
demonjoe's god roll guides are the meatballs of Destiny YT videos
Thus was actually the first of the dungeons I've ever gotten to do a dungeon on the first day. Hell I still haven't done the last 3 dungeons. I enjoyed it. It was a refreshing challenge in D2 and I'm here for it
Really liked this one.
Aesthetics are great, the encounters are good, and there’s none of the tedious or overly grindy like the last couple which made me not want to do them.
Thanks Joe
The loot to me is similar in scope to the Spire of the Watcher, personally love the armor & winter theme, however the weapons are more niche and experimental like that double barrel breach launcher. I’m willing to see what the perks and weapons feel after next season or 2 and how they hold up
Happy belated birthday mate 👍🏼
i really do like this take of the meatball boss for this dungeon seeing its is a more movement based boss, and tbh i can see uses for these weapons imo,
Overall the movement across each of the encounters was great. Jumping out of the cages, moving from fire to fire, and then having a very dynamic boss fight having you use a hugely vertical arena and then going back to the tower for loot. Probably my favorite part about this dungeon was all of that.
@@atsukana1704 i agree, the fights are easily the best just for the movement, heavily reminds me of shiro and other bosses that require movement. and its a good way to make well not as strong along side it.
Attrition orbs on strand giving you woven mail on the sword is SOOOOOOOOO underrated! It's like banner of war for hunters and warlocks
Do you plan to cover the Exotic once you get it?
Sidearm With Voltshot and loose change is perfect
the origin trait might be fun to use on the bow, if it stacks w archers tempo and successful it might get to ~200ms draw time
The Hartford Whalers throwback 🔥🔥🔥
THEY LOOK SO GOOD
I see the Caster frame sword having amazing potential on Strand Titan if you get Slice + Golden Tricorn.
You’re gonna have a really tough time convincing me to take off tracker for a caster frame
i got unrelenting golden tricorn. wat i hate about swords with golden tricorn is that u cant use ur melee to proc golden x2
Chain reaction demo looks promising too for general use and grenade builds
Holy shit ! Hartford Whalers jersey !!! Haven’t seen one of those in loooong time ! I’m from that area so it was cool to see ya rockin it !
Loving the hockey jersey brother 🫡
the sword actually looks really cool imho, Unrelenting Chain Reaction is a roll I've enjoyed on other swords, and being on the versatile Caster Frame is super nice for Stronghold. Strand is also nice for War Banner class synergy. I actually think that might be the thing I'm most interested in getting honestly
(but I'm a big time sword simp so other ppl may not care as much)
Bingo ! that's the roll I want, currently I have dualists trance and chain reaction.... this SLAPS even with out unrelenting! when you have the artifact perks of unravelling orbs and Horde shuffle from the last column , on man It is unraveling round and hatchling chaos and its amazing haha.
I got chain reaction on Sola's Scar from trials a few years ago. Fun to get those chain reactions going and it even work on light attacks. This Strand one could be pretty fun.
Happy belated BDay homie
Finally watching this after avoiding spoilers as I couldn't do the dungeon on day 1 but have now run it a few times!
As always, making my life easier running through all the perks. Thanks Joey!
I thought the dungeon was good but not great. Cool location, interesting traversal sections and you can run it fast but quite easy/basic encounters and disappointing weapons (so no chase).
Thanks for the shout-out! Time to go make a MEATBALL sub. Peace!
Ppl are looking at these weapons wrong. Not everything needs to be the new meta or better than the best stuff we already have. The power creep would be insane if they just kept making a new best weapon. The weapons are all unique and special in their own way. You can use these weapons in content. Don't have to run wish ender forbearance in every activity lol.
People aren't looking at these weapons in the wrong way. For a dungeon, we expect loot that is good because this is endgame pve.
Worst frames on the worst weapons. You are a casual
We want good weapons with unique rolls, not bad weapons with unique rolls. (The rocket sidearm gets a pass).
@@rithvikmuthyalapati9754 very well said
140s are the meta legendary sniper frames in pve, (though yes these perks are not very good other than utility) Precision bows are the meta frame, and this sidearm is a new frame.. and It's pretty fkin good. You barely have to aim the damn thing. It does a ton of dmg for the ammo economy. The crit multiplier is very low for the initial impact.. meaning you can just go around hip firing it and one shot a lot of things and 2 to 3 burst many other tougher enemies. It gets permeability too, so you can synergize it with the artifact and or your subclass aspects and fragments. If you hover your hip fire reticle near a target it will turn red, anytime it is red it will hit the target and do full non crit dmg... without beacon rounds. With beacon rounds you can fire behind a fkin wall or barricade if you want. Idk what else you'd want a new sidearm to be that could be better. It also rolls with the best subclass affinity perk, voltshot... which is great in its own right. Probably one of the best perks we've gotten in years.
It's hard to say something is ass when you're just fiddling with it for 10mins and writing it off or not even caring to begin with.
time flies i just remembered you from ur STW videos
I love this dungeon. The encounters are fluent. You never really feel like you have to wait for anything, you can always progress to the next damage phase quite quickly. And then there is that the bosses are fun to shoot, unlike Simmumah in Ghost.
It’s such a shame about the loot because the dungeon is actually fun. Even the armour is mid. If only the sidearm shot meatballs
Bow and sword are good too, bow cos it strand precision and caster frame swords are actually strong af, the only reason why people are considering them bad, cos the first one in the game from season of arrivals had zero fucking impact, plus caster frames were buffed a lot, and this one in particular has a very high impact.
Sniper is, sadly, worthless, since it's strand which are 15% weaker than kinetic and we already have Supremacy from TLW, with godly perks on top.
Disagree about the weapons but I agree about the armor. It's literally patrol-tier armor
the rolls are all very very strong.....
nah the armor is awesome, at least on titan
so sick of the neon flashy magical space knight shit we constantly get
D1 aesthetics and more 'realistic' armor is awesome
@@vasRayyaI completely agree, the commando titan set from D1 was so nice. I just love anything utilitarian looking.
First Canes then you were the OG whalers.
I remember when they came to Carolina. We have so many transplants now.
I got the legendary sidearm and with those beacon rounds it's definitely worth a use. Can't wait to try out the as close to a scorn crossbow as we're going to get exotic.
Wear*
ay happy belated birthday!
Does the sidearm work with the artifact perk that gives damage to rockets being as the side arm shoots rocks
My favorite bow is imperial need . My role has impulse amplifier and frenzy on it . It’s crazy good . Once Frenzy activates it’s reload is like 1sec
I'm from the future and caster frames did got buffed, and now it does almost the same damage as crown splitter with sorrounded
I bet the sundering perk is going to be super useful for something after final shape launch. Sort of like how the RoN perk didn’t really have any use until gotd
Yep, I agree. I don't think it's a coincidence they changed the whole description and gave "constructs" a unique name. I feel like those new mini rhulks and some bosses, plus maybe some mechanics might summon constructs. They may decide to recode some current things we have too for more interactions. I feel like bungie is about to fk with orb generation again too, cause we got the nerfs to mods already and almost every weapon this season is rolling with attrition orbs. It was also on the ritual weapon for this season.
I also don't understand why everyone is complaining about the loot. There aren't that many weapons, but there are a metric fk ton of new weapons this season, and this makes the dungeon loot a little easier to chase. Sucks the sniper is pretty bad, but I think the sidearm is really good for its ammo economy. Idk everyone is acting like it is underwhelming. It one shots a ton of stuff and the splash dmg alone will clear trash near yellow bars, you barely have to aim it and can be lazy and just hip fire for hardly a difference in dmg. I think its fucking great, I plan to use it quite often. I wouldn't doubt sidearms ending up getting some more buffs or this particular frame getting buffs either. Anyway, bows are also fine... it's just everyone wants to speed run every peice of content with meta loadouts. I still think the sidearm has a place even in those loadouts lol. For sure in solo content... it has too much unique utility to ignore. Pretty sure cery few people have explored it much and just regurgitating the same opinions others have.
Happy belated birthday donger!!!!!!
Haven't stepped into the dungeon yet, but one look at the picture of the weapons and I already knew I'm not gonna be grinding it.
The sidearm has a lot of potential. Esoterickk solod gm lake of shadows with hunter strand build and he used it as well. They track far and could damage a lot of suspended targets and have great ammo economy
0:00 stop yapping 😂😂😂
The pistol is cool I definitely wanna try beacon rounds with voltshot
Happy Birthday!
cant wait for a kinetic sidearm rl. that might b the play
Love the castor frame. I disagree on the sword. That baby is a gem.
If you use strand titan that thing could clear rooms easily with suspend.
@@theremnants6807I have a chain reaction roll!
I like the idea of permeability on the sidearm because volitaile
yooo demonjoe and me got the same b'day, happy bday to you too
Happy birthday to you as well homie
Meatball's mechanic was confusing at first. We didn't realise punching the guys was the solution. Until I punched one and saw my debuff gone. It finally clicked after 2 failed runs
It tells you to do it in the feed, but I still read it, failed to understand it in the moment and wiped 5x in my blind run
@@onearmtanner9301 we saw that, we assumed it meant we captured enough blighted totems.
successful warmup explosive head on the bow would be an awesome roll. it and the new wish void bow are the only ones with that roll
Impulse amp/ surrounded sidearm has become my new favourite energy weapon. Conditional with it is a perfect setup. Already got 1k kills with it
Also, is worth mentioning that farming this dungeon is pretty quick honestly, aside from 2nd boss, it's pretty quick gow you get to damage phase compared to farming last encounter in GotD, shame that the loot is kinda worthless.
this is probably the best dungeon ever, just the right amount of challenge and the visuals were top tier. the loot however left much to desired, oddly enough it seems that the legendary and exotic special sidearms were the real loot to be had, and the rest just seem to be there to fill strand weapon architype slots, I would really like to see what would come to be of the sword if casters got a major buff or rework.
Is the hawk moon able to craft
Outside of the rocket sidearm, which is fun as hell btw, the rest of the loot is pretty standard stuff. A new strand bow and sword are ok.
When Spire came out they used a bunch of the old Seraph weapons to fill in the loot pool, which pretty much everyone hated. I'm sure they could have done something similar here but players would have been angry.
I would like to see some of the different archetypes get more subclass variation though. Why not more gl's like Wilderflight?
Assassins blade+Golden Tricorn on Banner titan could be a fun and somewhat decent roll to test out
HAPPY BIRTHDAY 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
I agree the weapons leave something to be desired, but I think the armor looks really cool. With Wrathbearer sounded a bit cooler though.
Happy bday man, my 24th is tomorrow
Happy birthday!
I did the dungeon 3 times day one and only got armor every single drop. every roll was below 60.
My man Broey is a hockey boy ? 🥵
Indebted kindness with voltshot and loose change might be decent
I haven’t seen the now drop once in like ten runs
Happy belated birthday 🎂
I think the hunter armor is pretty dope
It’s sad that the loot do not correspond the dungeon aesthetics and encounter mechanics.
We got the same birthday Dec 1st
We called Meatball the "Taken Fart"
The sidearm is fun. It one shots oracle's.
explosive head does NOT work with hatchling on the bow. The explosive is not headshot damage so u can’t get headshot kills to proc hatchling source i tested it today
sick jersey
THE MEATBALL😭
Aye, you're 9 days older than me. December babies ftw
This dungeon could’ve been the greatest one EVER, but they ruined it with these weapons and I’m pissed. 7 months and this is all we have to chase?!
They need to go back to six dungeon weapons instead of four if they’re gonna be like this smh
Just saying, boss 2 arena would be a fun pvp map. Big castle tower fight, think of an IB game type that let each team storm the other side.
Happy birthday
ive dropped like 10 swords, 4 snipers and 3 pistols but not a single bow, thats the one i want... welp
That Sniper has Reconstruction, Slice and Precision Instrument. I see potential there for DPS.
I hate to say it because I love using different options for damage but rewind bait and switch supremacy is just miles better, plus the 15% damage kinetic specials do
This isn't meta option so take it for value, a slice sword is unique in a moment where no one has unstoppable stun except the player down. U can slice, then block to res him while tanking the dmg for player to stun. With sword resist and slice and woven mail, in a grandmaster.... Could be interesting
After looking at the weapons and armor, I’m honestly more disappointed by the armor. The weapons all have their place, and I’m fine with that.
I got two good rolls on the bow, an amazing roll on the sidearm, and some good sword rolls so far. In all honesty though, I just really want that Impulse Amplifier + Voltshot roll.
You are over looking slice perk. It’s really strong against overloads
My favourite meatball boss so far
My least favorite is Gambit meatball
Please make a meatball video of dreaming city weapon rolls. GGs
Sick jersey bud
I do like having multiple bosses. Minor positive. Hope the last raid has multiple bosses.
The side arm can kill orange bars and yellow bars in neomuna. Dont care what anybody says its good.
Gotta agree with most comments...Good dungeon mechanics and aesthetic, but absolutely terrible loot - not even the side arm is actually useful.
What about that meatball of a servitor? Am I right???
Upvote just for the jersey! My guy ..
Thought you had a Seahawks jersey on for a second
I'm a Carolina sports fan through and through, although I do love the Seahawks jerseys
Could you imagine a world with chain reaction and hatchling?
Only thing I'm grinding this dungeon for is the armor.
Edit: I didn't know the RoN GL rolled Chain reaction and Hatchling.
like the grenade launcher in RoN?
@@xxZEROxGRIMxx I don't really run RoN much I got a GL with hatchling and called it fair. But considering this correction, I'll just retract my initial comment.
@@ScumDogMF no worries 😊
I like the sword only because of my sword build on strand lol but yeah i get why most ppl dont care qbout swords.
I just don't understand why 3/4 of the weapons are strand
I really love meatballs. Genuinely some of my favorite balls of all time
Bummed that this dungeon didn't get a unique trait...i mean meatball.
Man I dont get the comments. Im absolutely amazed by the new weapons. First ever strand legendary bow being precision is great (I prefer it over light frames), first strand caster sword (and first caster in a while) and can roll double damage with Assassins Blade and Golden Tricorn or Surrounded, New archetype special pistol that can get a perk to match any sub, the sniper Im not 100% on. Nothing really going for it that makes me want to use other outside of strand artifact mods, which this season isnt focused much on.
But between the aesthetic of the dungeon and these weapons, I’ve been enjoying my time doing multiple runs.
Its like people go out of their way to make this game less exciting for them by only chasing after meta picks and “God rolls”. The only God roll that should exist is the one you like using. And who knows what combo might be out there that no one is using but you found the one niche it works in.
Just boring af to go for the same thing over and over.
Dude because people know what their talking about. Saying these weapons are mid is valid and also more often than not you have weapons that are leagues better than these, yes the sidearm is unique but it’s mid as hell nothing interesting about outside that it can shoot projectiles. If it’s origin perk was somewhat good it might be useful. At best these weapons are underwhelming.
@@MildsandThatYac i agree about them not being as good as other options but like the other guy said, they're unique and unlike anything else for the most part
Do you *really* want a third forbearance, another Supremacy, another god-tier handcannon or a third ikelos smg? There's little they can do in regards to making newer, better weapons without making them dominate absolutely. One dungeons loot pool being not-so-META isn't really that bad, especially with all the other good loot we got this season
@@bofa722 I don’t disagree with your statement, it’s just the origin trait on the weapons are like….. why this
@@bofa722 No one is asking for another forbearance or another supremacy. We just want unique gear that is actually good and can hold up to forbearance and supremacy.
@@MildsandThatYac the origin perk is horrible but I think "Deconstruct" is the biggest offender lol, especially since it's in the second slot...
These Taken eyes should count as contruct, or am I wrong ?
From personal experience, they do.
Theoretically they should
@demonjoe I’m a December baby! 12/07/99! I’m also gonna be 24 in few days! LETS GOOOOOOO🎉🎉🎉🎉
December 1st birthday gang!
