I'm grateful for being told "Don't quit in the first few weeks! You'll feel like crap for a while, push through it!" because I absolutely felt like crap, for DAYS. I was extremely irritable, my whole body was sore, I had a nasty headache the entire time...I wanted nothing more than to sleep and chug water. I kept telling myself that it was the demons leaving my body 😆 Eventually it subsided, and I went from hating everything to feeling fantastic overnight. The arthritis in my wrists feels better. I don't get wheezy when I go jogging. I no longer care about chocolate. My hormonal cycle may have also balanced itself out already (I've only been carnivore about a month.)
I first looked into carnivore after being diagnosed with PCOS (ovarian cysts) and realized I was probably producing way too much estrogen...the promise of joint relief was another huge draw, and I dove in. My only regrets so far have been two "cheat meals" with extended family; I may just politely decline to eat anything next time, if there's not steak or a plain burger available! My body rejected the carbs immediately, and I'm glad for that. I don't want to get used to eating garbage again.

Word to the wise... vitamin C also blocks B12! Most people even many on carnivore have low B12 levels & it can make females anemic as well. Vitamin C is NOT harmless. If you truly care about getting your body as healthy as you can possibly be, ALWAYS get your blood levels of nutrients and thyroid hormones as well as testing for thyroid antibodies before you take any supplements! Only take something if you're found to be deficient & only until your levels come up into the healthy range. Never take iodine without testing your iodine, thyroid function & test for thyroid antibodies. If you have undiagnosed low thyroid function or worse, asympotmatic hashimotos ... iodine can shut your thyroid down by making it over worked to extreme fatigue & you won't even feel it ... until it's too late & it can take a very long time; many, many months to recover. We're eating a meat centric diet to be healthy, not to shut our body's regulatory & hormone systems down. 😬

I suspect this to be temporary, however it was necessary to avoid severe palpitations, severe calf cramps at night and hypnagogic jerks. What about adding frozen berries to dairy shakes in the morning? I‘m only ketovore and still kept matcha tea powder, blackberries, raspberries and wholefruit lemons added to my quark and milk shake, whenever I don’t feel like going OMAD. I also use salt and pepper on my minced beef stews and Magnesium and Potassium electrolytes, as well as Selen and Zinc, D3/K2 and a multivitamin to not miss out on anything. The latter is probably redundant, but didn’t seem harmful so far. Oh, and Iod I substitute for the lack of it in my drinking water. Maybe all due to learned behavior from before…

I am also a bit low on energy which is frustrating because all I always hear is how much energy people have on carnivore. I feel like I am eating enough fat and iften add fat to meals and lots of salt so I dunno.

2-3lbs is a lot. Google what 2lbs of fat looks like. I think it will really change your perspective. The energy increase will happen more and more over time. Keep up the salt and fat and try to get as much of your energy from ruminant meat as possible. Keep up the good work.

You could have any number of issues that prevent adequate fat digestion. Being carnivore has allowed it to come to light. I recommend searching out a few you tube videos from Dr Berry, Dr Berg, Dr Boz and this channel on the subject, or even see your own doctor, though they won’t be happy you’re doing carnivore, This issue may be very simple or a more complex medical issue and needs to be diagnosed and put right. Good luck, hope it’s an easy fix.

Mushrooms are high in many defense chemicals. A large number of mushroom variants will kill you instantly. Just because it dosent kill you instantly it doesn’t mean it’s causing harm. I think you would be much better off without it to be honest.

Most people aren’t looking far enough back in time, when it comes to what we actually ate. All human beings are actually tropical beings.
Even if you don’t live in the tropics, you are always creating a tropical environment by wearing clothes and turning on the heat.
Please don’t be blinded by better. There is the best and I’m sorry to say you’re not quite there.
The only reason people who start eating only meat feel and function way better is the simple fact that they have cut all the other BS out of their diet.
We are not carnivore, herbivore or even omnivore.
Physiology we are most attracted to whole, ripe, fragrant, vibrant, fresh fruit slight off the tree. And some soft tender leaves, just like the bonobos and chimps.
Thinking it this way. Does being around a pig or chicken or cow or deeer or rabbit or kale or broccoli or brusslesprouts or a west field or a corn field, make you salivate or lust hungrily after it?
We’ve gone a loooooong way in the wrong direction people.
We don’t have to kill ANYTHING to thrive on this world and eating the food we are actually supposed to, we have ZERO sickness disease, famine, birth defects, etc. while feeling and functioning better than you ever thought possible, while living as symbiotically with the world alike we were meant to! 🍒🍓🍇🍎🍑🍊🍋🍍🍊🍌🥑🍏🍏🍈🍐🥝🥭🥥🥭🍅🥥🍋‍🟩🍏🍑🍍🍑🍇
