- Coney watches Mr. Sakurai's presentation on the new addition of Minecraft Steve and Alex in Super Smash Bros. Ultimate without having anything spoiled besides Travis being a Mii Fighter costume. Coney compares his predictions to what is revealed here, and it's not looking good for both Coney and Minecraft Steve... Coney thinks Minecraft Steve is not going to be a good character due to his short range nature. And I'm also an adult, I love all games where you have to use your imagination, and when you look at Steve in smash bros that's exactly what you have to do for the most of his attacks, use your imagination.
And Minecraft is not a kid game, it's a game made for every ages.

IMO regardless of what anyone thinks of the story, and that's not a conversation I wanna have today, the gameplay is horribly underrated and should be discussed as an individual topic. The boss design at its peak blows any other Action-RPG out the water, and even true Action games like DMC and Platinum.
The fact Nomura blatantly retrying FF Versus XIII again but in KH is a topic that hasn't hit mainstream conversation shows how little attention is being paid.
@@OneGamer2EnvyThemAll gameplay wise id say its better than the first 3 dmc games but nowhere near God of War levels in fluidity. It is miles above ff15 tho. Its pretty diverse in series as well with kh1 being very simple, 2 being very spammy, bbs being very diverse, and 3 being a bit heavy on the keyblade transformations but those give some great playstyle options.

It's a weird distinction to make, it's not really surprising other languages wouldn't have it.
Steve is a top tier with an exponential learning curve
I think steve is like all characters in smash he has the move potential to be good he may or may not be good we have to wait and see but it could go either way
He has tools to change the meta. If there’s no block placing limit under the stage, recoveries with no stall ressources will get bodied and there’s like 10 characters having tools to deal with it
@@peepinlechien2560 this is what concerns me. Giving a character the ability to safely just deny a recovery is so ridiculously powerful.
Right now I don't feel comfortable enough to say whether Steve is top tier, SS tier etc. But I genuinely think he'll get a ton of changes after release.
Even if he isn't top tier, he seems to straight up invalidate low recovery characters with Anvil and Down Tilt.
I think he will be like pacman. Amazing in good hands and somewhat ok in bad hands

technically anvils are a projectile too, but in the sense of smash it doesn't mean too much.
How is tnt a projectile? Do you know what a projectile is?
Tnt is a trap. Its a stage control tool. And minecart is probably gonna have a cooldown.

So this is why I felt something was missing, Coney hadn't reacted to Steve's Moveset.

Coney was literally the worst taker on this video. Barely paid attention, basically just looked at all the bad instantly. It reminds me of Byleth; "oh my God he's so slow" yet Byleth is a pretty good character that was underrated for like a month until people saw Leo play him. I think he'll be underrated for a while but in the end I'm sure he's gonna be good. When Joker first came out, people said he was bad, now he's considered a top tier, when Hero first came out, everyone said he was the best character in the game but now a lot of people consider him a low tier which I think is absolutely ridiculous (he's at least a low high tier), when Banjo first came out everyone thought he was high tier, now he's considered a pretty bad mid tier. I'm pretty sure the reason why people don't play Banjo is the same reason why people don't really play Min Min anymore and it's the fact that they're sooooo lame to play as and play against. I think Terry is the only character that people predicted correctly when it comes to tiers.

Chrome was a DLC mii fighter in 4 before he was a character. Mii fighters do not de-confirm. Chrome already killed that fan-rule.

That was in smash 4, the previous game. This is smash ultimate. They wouldn't make a mii costume for Travis is they knew he was gonn be a character

He has a point: Minecraft Kirby would be mega toxic. This isn't scientific by any means, but if you get off a block with a jump as soon as you place it then jump just enough to stay off it, fastfall to refresh jump just as the block is about to break, then go back to jumping, even with dirt you only consume 1 block per ~10 seconds. I know the total goes above this number, but at one point we see Steve place 20 blocks without cutting the camera (those added by the mining shown subtracted), so the max blocks you can have is at least 20. So, if Minecraft Kirby's neutral special works the same, an unimpeded Minecraft Kirby could in theory use 20 blocks to stall for *3 minutes and 30 seconds* accounting for not placing a last block but still jumping as if you could. _That's half of tournament game_ .

4:48 You can actually notice Steve is walking off the ledge but not falling while crouching, this is going to be a great mechanic and sk far nobody has pointed this out. It is a easter egg towards his own game.

The crossover is with just Travis, not No More Heroes.
The Japanese and European streams straight up say “Smash x No More Heroes.” Same deal with Assassin’s Creed and Fallout.

Kirby with steve's power can place blocks in the air, placing blocks will replenish all of kirby's jumps, all kirby has to do is get a percent lead, mine a bunch of blocks then keep jumping at the top of the stage and landing above with a block.

Lmao what would neutral special be then another taunt? They gave kirby monado arts, I don't think they'll be skimping on this one, and if they did I'm guessing they'd just give kirbo unbreaking nettherrite tools so they wouldn't have to program crafting.
