I'm convinced Cosmos is 2 brothers in a trench coat, sometimes the Little brother plays and sometimes the big brother plays but the big brother makes sure to let the little brother play a lot.
He plays Pyra/Mythra because he relates to them. Fire sis/Light sis, Big brother/Little brother

Cosmos is always fighting with the Green Goblin that lives inside him, moreso even that his opponent
Whenever he spams dair to get a kill, it's the equivalent of the Green Goblin saying "Finish it!"
Cosmos is like the best player in the world for 10 seconds constantly, then he goes back to his original power level

Cosmos switching play styles like he is switching from Pyra to Mythra in real life
Cosmos is such a weird player in that he switches from playing like a top 5 player in the world to a top 200 player constantly. 10 seconds of great play, followed by 10 seconds of mediocre to bad play (by top 8 major standards) then 5 seconds of great play then 15 seconds of bad play then 20 seconds of great play. It's so inconsistent and all over the place it's hard to really get a proper grasp on him.
In my eyes, him and Goblin kinda have the problem of constantly throwing out moves when not necessary.
Sure, on paper those moves are fast and safe, but if you're constantly swinging at ghosts your opponent will find an opening and exploit it

I wanted the Jake win too. Steve is such a funny character to watch and it would've been utter chaos if Jake actually managed to take it.
Glitch Infinite was my first live Smash event. Lots of Steve there but Jake never failed to get the crowd hype. The energy when he beat Dabuz was insane. I kinda got bored of Ultimate but actually going to an event really motivates me to get better and go to more.

Cosmos is simply defined by having balanced, optimized gameplay, and then in every set he does two or three amazing things or awful things, and you don't know what you;'re getting until the end of the set.

Cosmos has that kaioken mindset. He can turn on the good player in him on for only so long before he has to rest.
These tournament restreams are so good. Not only is it fun to watch but coney is also able to give a ton of good insight that he wouldn’t normally be able to do when on a commentator block with another caster.
I figured Cosmos would win but I really wanted Zomba to win, so when Grand Finals rolled around I thought he definitely had it after beating Cosmos earlier, but then my heart was broken. :(

I was feeling socially overwhelmed (this was my first major so I wasn't used to the atmosphere) so I went to the lounge to take a short nap right around top 16 and I woke up right when Jake beat Dabuz. Needless to say, I immediately booked it back into the main room to see how the rest of this went.

I would’ve loved Jake to win but then people would complain even more about Steve.
Cosmos is like Goku in the Tournament of power fighting against Jiren. He’s getting his ass kicked the entire time, but occasionally enters Ultra Instinct and becomes unbeatable.

I respect Jake as a player and he impressed me a lot, but I low key can’t be sad that he lost because I really didn’t wanna see Steve in finals.

-Jake had a monster run come to a close
Cosmos was literally an IRL Pythra (bad player, better player)

Is this pythra’s first major win?
Yes and no. If you go by PGStats because although Cosmos also won MSM 240 using only Pyra/Mythra, an A tier equivalent event, it is not officially recognized as a major/national by them (They did the same for InfinityCon). If you go by OrionRank, however, then MSM 240 would be an officially recognized major.
Finally, MKLeo won SWT with Pyra/Mythra as a key secondary with roughly 40% usage for the entire event (although it felt closer to 20-30%). So although the answer to your question depends on your criteria, Glitch Infinite is the first unanimously recognized major won by someone using solo Aegis.
This also doesn’t take online majors/supermajors into consideration which could muddy things further.
