I have the same year but a half ton, all I removed was the shock and was able to remove and replace the CV Axle with no problem, maybe the half ton is different enough that all I have to remove is the shock. anyone know what to tork the 15mm bolts to?

It's pretty much exactly the same as the similar Era s10's as well.
Does the sway bar need to be removed?

Hey man my bro called me saying his tire is leaning in at the top and he can smell that his brake was rubbing. He wants me to come take a look. He said that his ball joint is good but he only looked for a minute. I'm hoping it would just be this. Is that what could happen if your CV axel snapped? Just curious so I know what tools I will bring. He also said his 4wd recently started clicking when he went to take it out of 4wd. His is k1500.
I doubt he changed his brakes so the smell is probaly it's own problem lol
