    Andy, thanks for the video! You did a great job on explaining features and helpful hints on use such as Jet nozzle attachment decreasing pressure and cleaning power, (I’d of expected the opposite), as well as explaining excess water not an issue after a couple of minutes. I previously owned a Shark Steamer and loved it, but steamer features are more advanced now so I went with McCulloch Canister Steam System with Handle to carry and/or pull. Just about to use my new steamer and appreciate your helpful and articulate video with the info. 💎 Jewels

    We've been using this steamer as one part of a DIY bedbug fight. After the (roughly) fifteen-minute warn up, the steam kills bedbugs on contact up to 16 inches away. It’s been great for furniture, flooring, and sub- floors. I’d not heard of using a cleaner for the boiler, but that seems like great advise (keeping in mind your warning about the potentially strong odor.) so thanks for the review.

    Hey Andy,
    I contacted McCullough (actually SteamFast, make the unit).
    They said that the hose is NOT replaceable! They said people need to take care not to kink the hose, eg. coling and tucking the hose at sharp angles.
    Also, they said that steam cleaning the vents will leave moisture (water) in the chambers. They do not recommend using it anywhere in or on anything that will not be thoroughly and immediately dried. So I would say its ok if I used an air moving device afterwards or leave the HVAC system on during and for a sufficient time afterwards to ensure its dry enough.
    They did remind me that they will replace the entire unit if ANYTHING fails, within the first TWO YEARS.
    One last note. They said this information is in the USER'S MANUAL!
    I said, to the nice woman; well, you know us men! LOL

    It looks like the steamer should be filled about 3/4's full instead of topped off. It also seems like the steamer needs to be allowed to heat until the pressure gauge indicates a higher pressure than was being demonstrated in this video in order to eliminate the more of the water discharge.. THE VIDEO WASN'T BORING AT ALL. VERY INSTRUCTIVE.

    • @AndysAutoCarePlus
      @AndysAutoCarePlus  2 года назад

      It gives a recommendation of filling the provided cup twice from empty. Also even letting it heat all the way up “which I believe I did in this video “ it still unfortunately has a lot of moisture.

    Looks like they should put a relief valve on it so you can trip it when either you're done or want to refill it, like on an old fashioned pressure cooker. Throw the valve, the steam escapes, then ya just remove the lid and refill. Bleeding after sitting is a given. That's why when steam locomotives first take off you'll notice they open the petcocks on the cylinders as it let's the water build up out and you'll see steam shoot out from under the pistons because water cannot be compressed and they would damage the pistons if they just took off without opening the petcocks. Your "flash steaming" comment gave me a chuckle as anyone who's ever dealt with an overheated radiator on an old car can testify to.

    Great introductory video. I used mine for the first time this week. I had to learn the hard way to purge the system after each refill or when it sits for a short period of time. I’m going to try the ONR tip. I was concerned about adding anything other than distilled water in to the “ boiler” fill.
    I use a diluted APC in a spray bottle to lightly mist the seats. I let this dwell for about a minute before starting to use the steamer. Thanks again.

      Enrique Portillo I have done a lot of research on generators but haven’t pulled the trigger on one. In my opinion it matters a lot on what you plan on running with it. A Honda 2200i “$999” is fantastic if you only plan on using one thing at a time and if you want more power go with the Honda 3000 “ about $1999” or Predator 3000 which is at harbor freight “$799” with a few modifications the Predator would be able to keep up with the Honda. There’s tons of videos on different generators. Hope this helps.
