Being a former store owner, I appreciate your honesty and tact with your customers. Not always easy. I look at the item tags around your shop, and am impressed on the reasonable prices. People who complain that you're making low offers to people, have no idea on the cost of operating a small business now-a-days. I'm completely online now, but those costs are also increasing at a scary level. I enjoy your videos, and am now a seller on your site. Cheers.😎
One interesting thing about the Zeppelin, In through the Out Door, album is that the inner sleeve is water color pastel if you blot it with a damp paper towel. I bought it the first day of release and made it color on one side and left the other black and white.
your a real cool guy and a very honest and fair businessman! I wish you lots of success and may God Bless you, your family, employees, customers and friends!!!
The problem with companies like Ebay is, the shareholders will not accept profit losses that extensive. If you go through a good period, like the pandemic, for sales, when that wears off, they have to find a way to replace those lost profits, so, inevitably, new "fees" will pop up.
Peter should have a History Channel show IMO. He has such a real presentation. So authentic and down to earth and thorough and honest, transparent in all of his dealings. Pete that sleeve inside the Led Zepplin In Through the Outdoor album is actually a water color, it's looks black and white but take a damp cloth and wipe it across and the color appears. I had that when i was a kid.
In Through The Out Door (1979) Cover Variations. The original album (and some early reissues) came inserted in a brown paper bag. This was band manager Peter Grant’s idea, so that no buyer would know which cover variation he was getting. The printing on the original issue bags is dark purple (almost black), and the printing on the reissue bags is light purple (almost pastel). It also proved that you could stuff a Zeppelin album into a brown paper sack and it would STILL sell. Later reissues omitted the bag and have a barcode on the back cover of the sepia jacket. In Through The Out Door was originally issued in six different cover variations; each side of each cover variation was a view perspective of each of six people in a bar scene. The actual bar, based on the Old Absinthe House in New Orleans, was built on a sound stage at Shepperton film studios in London for the cover shoot. The six cover variations are labeled A through F, and the letter for each is printed in white on the spine, at the far left. Additionally, there is a “wiped” spot of color on each sepia-toned front cover.
I was actually surprised In the beginning when you said that you usually pay half price here in Arizona, most pawn stores will charge 1/3 of the value of the item. So that's what we're used to here but you are a fair man

@nuck- Are you talking about the SNES, well the Famicom games? He paid the seller a bit more than he was expecting but the customer should've done his due diligence and realised what he was sitting on. He sold Alien 3 for $50!!! He should've given him $500 instead of $300 because he's gonna tenfold his profit
Plus why the hell isn't the cartridges and instruction booklets not in their boxes? That's a strange set-up. Everyone is going to have their sticky paws rifling through them when he's selling the games individually...Sorry for moaning my opinion

I've been a reseller for years. One thing I've hated about eBay latley is all of these promoted seller listings and they're listing their items for little to no profit at all just to get the sale. Sometimes even at a loss! I buy clearanced items for a great price and turn around and list them online for retail or a little less. I still make enough and I can pass the deal on. Very cool with the lunch time discussion and I think you're very smart thinking out of the box and setting up your own website I just I just checked it out Thank you.
Peter, you need to verify what version of the Zeppelin album you got. First, is it the original 1979 release or the 2025 reissue. Then, which of the sleeve variations do you have (there is hundreds of dollars difference in value depending on the version) . It looks to me like you got version “c” But looking at the wear on the record itself it looks to be the 2015 reissue you’ve got (you need to look at the swan song record id (it should begin with the letters SSK. If it doesn’t it’s a reissue).
I'm extremely interested in the vinyl at 1 minute 3 seconds I believe it's the Ozark Mountain Daredevils I would be extremely interested in purchasing that album
live in Canada, I started using ebay in 2007~, I sold a handful of things but bought quite a bit more(nearing 700 positive reviews right now); one of the biggest negative changes for me on ebay was the introduction of Global Shipping as it made a good bit of price hike on buying stuff and further made things take 2-3 times longer to arrive...... every once and while I consider trying to sell stuff on it but I'm kinda afraid it changed too much and the profit margin for just jumping in on occasion is not there(was barely there previously but still okish)

Did he like being in the pawnbroker business? I have wondered about what it take to get into it, but mostly because I really enjoy seeing unique items.
I'm glad you mentioned the importance of the younger people such as Billie Eilish. 💚 She tends to be underrated compared to Taylor Swift. As an "older" fan, I really appreciate the mention. 🥰
I am so happy I found your channel - or it found me... I think you are fair and square with your sellers and I like that very much. I have essentially given up on Ebay. I have stuff sitting on there forever and I am too lazy to relist somewhere else. (Ok, I am old, and not really lazy - more like disinterested). I used to know what would sell well on Ebay, but nowadays it is very different. I have buyers making offers that are ridiculously low, too! What are they thinking?? Where is your bird? I haven't seen her in the recent past!
If stuff is sitting there for forever there’s only one explanation for that. Your prices are too high. I often send offers at 50% or even 30% of the original value when I see that the product is listed for many months already. I’ve made lots of decent deals with that and people finally realize the shit they’re selling isn’t made from gold. If you demand high prices in this economy you’re obsolete. It’s a buyers market these days since many struggle with inflation and joblessness (which is a shame and I hope those poor people get up on their feet soon), but those of us that make decent money can get lots of great deals on stuff they want to have. I don’t care about reselling, in my opinion it’s a disgusting thing to do privately outside of a store like Peter has, I want stuff for myself. There should be a license and a storefront needed for reselling something, it should be illegal to buy private stuff on eBay just to directly sell it privately for a profit! Wholesale can be allowed but private should be for other people that use the product!
@@rolux4853 people like you are what is wrong with eBay. I have all my items set to automatically decline or approve offers of a certain amount as to avoid ever doing business with buyers like you. Oh and thanks a lot for calling what I do for a living "disgusting". Get over yourself.

If that is a Shure KSM27 mic I have owned one for at least a decade, and mine came with a shock mount that looked nothing like the pieces you guys were playing with there. It has it's own proprietary bigger shock mount with rubber o-rings for shock absorption. It's sold separately as the "Shure A27SM" shock mount.
Hi Pete, I enjoy watching you wheel and deal. Hopefully I can pick up some of your skills. I personally love birds and cats. Honey is so chill just like my cat Jack. I can listen to your Channel a couple of hours a day as I work on my machines. Thanks for the entertainment.
Wow, Pete, you have a lot of vinyl! I lost mine and a lot of other stuff haha in a flood. Slowly replacing some. My Beatles and Stones, everything from when I was young.
For that shure mic piece - it is the correct piece for the mic but it is part of the shock mount that usually accompanies the mic. He’s just missing the shock mount
Nazareth is from the town I come from. It’s the same town where Andrew Carnegie came from. Dunfermline in Fife. We’ve got our own Carnegie Hall. The group Nazareth has had started way back in the late 1960’s. The current group only has one of the original members and he is nearer 80!, a real rocker.

If you followed them you’d know they are still quite popular in the Eastern European Countries , South America and in America. I saw them in our own town earlier this year…. never say never but not the same after listening to them for 50 years. I’ve been in the green room with my partner as he knew them from childhood. Oh boy, Jack Daniels and more beer than you’d see at twenty parties. Manny Charlton was a fantastic musician , he went to live in the States.
That's an excellent album by New England ..They were just breaking big when their record label ( Infinity ) literally went broke & ceased operations. The single , Don't Ever Wanna Lose You had just entered the Top 40.
You can give the vinyl paper scuffs yanking it out of the sleeve like that. Look into anti static archival sleeves. Much better for the record than the original paper. Won’t leave scuffs.
You don’t have to justify making your own platform! You don’t want to have to pay out eBay fees. eBay isn’t making videos promoting your items, you are! Go for it.

One of my biggest hassles with Ebay is their Layout. It's not hard, but it's also not as smooth as Amazon. I use both and always, always, always use the best seller and would even pay more just so I don't have to haggle with any interruptions, i.e shipping/handling.
17:39 Amazon makes more sense. I use it probably twice a week. Ebay, I use maybe once every 2 months. I shop for price. Rarity, might be Ebay. But, rare stuff I broaden my search to include multiple websites. I've bought stuff from RUclips personalities recommendations more than Ebay.
Ebay is so expensive, and it has changed compared to when I first started using it in the early 2000's, they have gotten way greedy and no care about buyers or sellers. I think your idea Pete is great and as long as it stays fair priced and easy it will be a hit. Also, will you ever offer International Shipping to Australia? :)
Happy Thanksgiving to all ur subs ur workers and ur families. Been following and binge watching ever since I came across you. Love ur videos Honey and Ruby too. Be well and have a great holiday season. 😘
Hey Pete, as my mom used to say, Wesołych Świąt Bożego Narodzenia. That said, I suspect that a reason eBay is not as productive for you now… could have something to do with all the thievery that is taking place unabated around the country and those involved flooding the market with stolen products. Just a thought…
Your right Pete, eBay has changed a lot and not in a good way for sellers. eBay wants sellers to pay more fees for items to sell and eBay has risen fees a lot in the last 2 years not looking good. You are doing well in trying new ways to sell items and low fees.
I sell a lot of stuff online and what I've noticed is people asking more and more invasive, and rather irrelevant questions about some thing like how long you've owned it. I've also noticed eBay, taking more and more liberties and siding more and more with the buyer and less with the seller in regards to returns and other issues that are out of your control. Not to mention in January the postal rates are going to go up anywhere between 3% to 6% if not more. The post office keeps charging more and more and we keep having to bear the brunt of it. Even with the eBay discount it's still a rip off.
Pete someone may have already mentions on the sleeve of in through the out door zeppelin album if you take a damp cloth and wipe the sleeve it turns colors I wouldn’t do it since it has not been done to the one you have just thought I would mention it for someone who may not know
Old channellock pliers… ones with “meadville pa” on them, not “made in usa” in good shape… i buy them for more than the new ones(withen reason) because the quality is better back then…. Something to keep an eye out for… i dont collect em… i use em.
Fell on hard times and sold my unbuilt plastic airplane model kit collection on Amazon or eBay I don't remember. They sold the kits in batches to the highest bidder and ended selling for $4,000 which i got half. There were some collectables in those batches.

My father was in the pawn shop business for years and his motto was… better to make a dime if you can’t make a dollar.
Sounds like a standup guy. Not sure that motto works in today’s day & age though
Very cool
Did he like being in the pawnbroker business? I have wondered about what it take to get into it, but mostly because I really enjoy seeing unique items.
@@TaterRogers he sure did. Once he sold his half of the business he then started selling fire arms legally.
@@TaterRogers99% of what you will see isn't unique tho. Enter to get into antiques then
I'm glad you mentioned the importance of the younger people such as Billie Eilish. 💚 She tends to be underrated compared to Taylor Swift. As an "older" fan, I really appreciate the mention. 🥰
i believe there are 6 versions of that Zeppelin LP. And the inner sleeve is water color. just add water and color is revealed.
Your channel just popped up in my feed, love your videos!
Pete love your videos and Im wishing you and the family a Very Happy Thanksgiving!!
Greedbay, pay to play now unfortunately as they bleed us with fees.
That album by zeppelin was the first album I ever bought . In though the out door . Brown wrapper and all.i married my wife to the song, all of my love😊
Hi Peter that led zeppelin album In through the out door has a total of 6 different cover variations letters A through F should be on the upper spine
Hey Pete bill from Philadelphia the reason that I'm in through the outdoor came in a brown paper bag because there was multiple covers and the sleeve if you put water on it will turn colors but not too much words like take a damp sponge and you'll see a change colors
The one in the video is for the ksm32 model, it would likely work on a ksm44 also. How it got pared with a ksm 27 is a mystery.
Dude got robbed for those SNES games
9:11 "I don't wanta do that again...Had me a good chuckle on that one.
I had that red metal car as a kid!!!! Born in 1955...
I feel bad for that woman selling her wedding knife. You could see her thinking about some painful memories. I hope her daughter finds true love
Cap 🧢 😂
That would def be hard to sell! Maybe she will buy it back hopefully
Right off the bat she said she bought it at a estate sale.
@@theboogieman401 what's cap? Lol I'm not 10 years old
@@Mcdamn1026 she said she is moving out of the country.. probably won't be back
Hi Pete, I enjoy watching you wheel and deal.
Love u Honey❤🐱 happy turkey day 🦃❤️
Hi Pete, I watch all the way thru, so I can see your lovely kitty, Honey 🥰
Hi Pete love watching your shop especially Ruby and Honey she’s so pretty . I’m in the UK 😊
Wow very cool ! Saw them in 1980 ! And from then on loved them ! Saw them 15 times ! Think Agnew is still going like ya said ! Peace man ! Skull splitters!
@@johnm2617 Carl Sentence will never be Dan McCafferty but he’s quite a showman.
PETE Your A Great Hard Working Man!! You Deserve The Best!! Hope Your Company Grows Very Successfully!! Stay Sharp My Friend🇺🇸
That's an excellent album by New England ..They were just breaking big when their record label ( Infinity ) literally went broke & ceased operations. The single , Don't Ever Wanna Lose You had just entered the Top 40.
I’m addicted to this channel. Where is this guy from? His accent sounds Russian
He said he’s originally from Poland in a different video
You can give the vinyl paper scuffs yanking it out of the sleeve like that. Look into anti static archival sleeves. Much better for the record than the original paper. Won’t leave scuffs.
I promote every listing i put up, 2.1%, thats it, works great for me, but i also dont sell stuff like dewalt drills,
You don’t have to justify making your own platform! You don’t want to have to pay out eBay fees. eBay isn’t making videos promoting your items, you are! Go for it.
Hey man, I truly do not care what others think and say about you, as im sure you do not either.. Always gunna be haters... And if you got haters; you are obviously doing something right! And have still the "Lovers" .... Because I gotta say.. the way you interact with people and the fairness you bring to the table is very, very sincere. You are a true gentleman, and very good buisnessman. And seem pretty darn wise.. So to you sir, I say. Keep up the great work, keep pumping out the good content. And dont you EVER!! Change!!! Also as of this moment.... a life goal of mine; is to one day visit your shop and meet you. Shout out from Kris, from Ontario Canada!!! Love you dude!!
I APPRECIATE YOU!
Cool to see people purchasing as well.
That is a beautiful Fire House toy/speaker
You and your store are wonderful to watch, hoping some day to come in and shop...but one of my favorite parts of your videos is Honey at the end. Lovely girl. We lost our black cat Atreyu back in July and know the love of a cat towards family. You are very lucky to have such a loving feline.
that led zeppelin cover i do have something cool to say about...if yiou use a painting brush and dipp it in water and paint water on the white cover in the album were the record is it will appear hidden colors on the black and white cover...
Love Krystal Thai. My go-to is chicken pad Thai, spicy level 5 and the fresh spring rolls. Can’t beat it.
She wanted cash NOT credit🤣
One of my biggest hassles with Ebay is their Layout. It's not hard, but it's also not as smooth as Amazon. I use both and always, always, always use the best seller and would even pay more just so I don't have to haggle with any interruptions, i.e shipping/handling.
Clutch best ban in the land always good videos pete
Unlikely too expensive
Happy Thanksgiving to all ur subs ur workers and ur families. Been following and binge watching ever since I came across you. Love ur videos Honey and Ruby too. Be well and have a great holiday season. 😘
I'm hooked on your videos!
You can price at a competitive price to be seen better too. No need to pay 5-15% on promotion.
I never do more than 3 and sell plenty.
Thanks for another great video Pete. Happy Thanksgiving to you and yours.
16:30 eBay absolutely robs people on fee's now
Whatchu mean you don't wanna give up 23%?
@@sittingyak how are you paying 23%? eBay takes roughly 13% in most categories. A few random categories are a little higher or lower, but not 23%
Your right Pete, eBay has changed a lot and not in a good way for sellers. eBay wants sellers to pay more fees for items to sell and eBay has risen fees a lot in the last 2 years not looking good.
Ebay is on the way out. I've moved most of my stuff over to Etsy. I block minimum several scammers a week on Ebay.
@@alaskansummertime no its not going anywhere.
The postal rates go up every January, just something we have to live with.
Pete someone may have already mentions on the sleeve of in through the out door zeppelin album if you take a damp cloth and wipe the sleeve it turns colors I wouldn’t do it since it has not been done to the one you have just thought I would mention it for someone who may not know
Love that Howard Jones poster!
Old channellock pliers… ones with “meadville pa” on them, not “made in usa” in good shape… i buy them for more than the new ones(withen reason) because the quality is better back then…. Something to keep an eye out for… i dont collect em… i use em.
I used to buy a lot of stuff on e-bay. I don't anymore. I agree with you that younger people aren't going to use e-bay.
And if you take a damp cloth to the inner sleeve of that Zepplin record, it will change colors.
LED ZEP In Through the Out Door, YES!!
I literally JUST sold that identical first press Zeppelin at my own resale store. Idk what you are getting for yours, I got $25 for mine.
That is a good thing, with promoting now, right? I love placing things and putting them up for sale.
Fell on hard times and sold my unbuilt plastic airplane model kit collection on Amazon or eBay I don't remember. They sold the kits in batches to the highest bidder and ended selling for $4,000 which i got half. There were some collectables in those batches.
