This may be an unpopular opinion but I view all euro-business "business class" a scam. Yes you get lounge access, a meal (usually) and priority boarding with security (where available) but you can also get lounge access through airline loyalty programs (I am one world emerald for example so in LHR I can go into BA's highest tier lounge) and get priority boarding and security through a credit card perk from the airline or partner airline. Even if you do not have one of those, if you are flying enough to see value in lounge access (the highest chunk of the price difference between economy and business class) its significantly cheaper in the long run to buy a priority pass membership and buy economy tickets (maybe paying a bit extra to reserve a specific seat in the cabin) than buying business class in this scenario. For me personally I buy business class tickets for the seat upgrade and that is where the value lies in it for me. When there is a 300-600 dollar price difference between economy and business class, there better be an upgrade in hard product.

But to be fair with the crew: its an Aircraft operated by BH Airlines, with Crews from Bulgaria... For them its probably a short term thing, so maybe they simply don´t get trained about the catering "concept" of Fly Erbil/ UR Air
Brfore 10 years .. in summer of 2014 .. I flew from arbil to ankara .. the ticket price was 750 dollar for one person .. the service in the plane was not good .. i asked the stewdess for water to drink 3 times in the 2 hours flying time .. she answered me in the 3 times ( later) .. she never bring me water. another thing that the passenger beside me in airplane have a dog in small metal gage .. the cage took the most of my room .. so my legs was uncomfortable entire the trip .
Honestly I will say this is the same business class in Europe style of single lane airplane. But for the check-in counter, lounge access & luggage handling, that’s big problem. About the food, that’s hardly to say anything because the taste is very depends on personal. If I put the Asia standard on the review, that’s very bad experience! Still appreciate Josh to spend time with traveling with those “not meet Asia standard” airlines. I just mean normal airlines not budget airlines! I will try AirAsia in my first time experience in budget airline, I wish I can get “not so bad” services.
Having flown Iraqi Airways and FlyBaghdad a few years ago, I feel like these sorts of airlines can only be classified in the "exotic" only for AvGeek sort of airline. However, I think Josh is doing a great job pushing these airlines to do better and I can tell he is doing it out of a love for Iraq, a country I also love after 3 visits.
In my experience, when traveling from Amsterdam to Erbil, you receive priority at check-in. I’m not sure about other services, but it’s a good start. A tip: When you're there, it’s important to be assertive and proactive. Maybe if you ask for help when you’re at the airport in Erbil, you can likely get priority check-in and possibly priority boarding by showing your business class ticket. I hope this information is helpful. Great job on your review, and I’m glad you visited Kurdistan. I hope more Europeans will visit Kurdistan and that the situation with Fly Erbil and Iraqi Airways continues to improve over time.

I understand all the facts, but seriously-whether I fly with Condor or Lufthansa on a three-hour flight in an A320, they also don’t offer a special business class seat. They just keep the middle seat blocked. I don’t think they even provide a menu card for such a short flight. The meal might be of better quality, and the aircraft might have a better ambiance, but why should FlyErbil do anything different from what everyone else does on a three-hour flight? and for a business Trip from Bremen to Frankfurt i also pay 500€ oneway in business class. Only diffrence is i have lounge access and a meal on a 40 minutes flight.
you get a menu (at least I did), you get priority check-in, you get priority boarding, you get lounge access, you get priority luggage, you get proper maintained seats, you get more legroom. I would say there is a massive difference. Worth the money? Dunno but that’s not the point

This is, by far, the most impractical, unnecessarily huge, so huge that I know people who missed their connecting flights, terminal building. Just a note - I flew Air Albania last year. It was a codeshare with British Airways, from London to Tirana. And the plane and crew were from Finnair. It was a crazy experience! 🙂
Probably talking about how Turks keep attacking foreigners like Americans. Or what about the poor kurdish guy from the Iraq area who was killed for being kurdish? Country like that are not developed, modern maybe, but still backwards.
Kurdistan does not have a national carrier. Firstly, Fly Erbil is a private company and does not officially represent Kurdistan. Secondly, it is a budget airline, so expectations should be tempered accordingly. While I understand your concern about the high prices, flights to Kurdistan and Iraq are generally more expensive. However, I agree with you that they should eliminate their business class altogether, as it is effectively nonexistent.

Hey Josh please make a fly review of QANTAS and Air New Zealand, Thank you brother.

As a kurdish person I do agree with you 😂. Our airlines system is sucks

Just a note - I flew Air Albania last year. It was a codeshare with British Airways, from London to Tirana. And the plane and crew were from Finnair. It was a crazy experience! 🙂
that glass building and the airport wooww look very progressive and developed compared to Iran and Turkey 😂😂😂 lets be real dude..
Kurds developed the city in a few years. How many years do Turks live in caves now?
This dude is really "cahil" bro 😁
@@dogukanc11 that’s why Erbil is called little Dubai and not Gaystanbul
Probably talking about how Turks keep attacking foreigners like Americans. Or what about the poor kurdish guy from the Iraq area who was killed for being kurdish? Country like that are not developed, modern maybe, but still backwards.
@@xXxRRAxXx lol you can progaganda here all you wand dude but I aint buying
As a kurdish I’m really ashamed of this and I’m really sorry u went through that
Kurdistan does not have a national carrier.
BA is a national carrier but it too is privately owned. How about Qantas, Lufthansa, Air France, KLM etc etc
@@Lakesider52You must have missed the part of the comment where they said "does not officially represent Kurdistan"
Maybe the $500 was for the cheese 😂😂😂
I'm awaiting Sam's review of FlyErbil!! I'm sure it will be a glowing review and one of the best airlines he'ever flown on! HAHAHAHAHA!!!!
Thanks …nice video
Iberia Airlines we need some review of it.
Ez wek kurdekî bi xêr hatina we dikim. Demek xweş û serpêhatiyên xweş ji we re dixwazim
Indigo aren’t the worlds largest budget airline, it’s Ryanair by passenger numbers and Southwest Airlines by fleet size.
This airline is new company needs some time to be improved and get experience and people there are not rich to use expensive airline or service , people just came out out from wars , and takes time to get better , very bad comparison you did matey
if the national airline is 70 years old and bad how you expect a new airline be in good rate ✈
You should try Clark International in the Philippines. From the time I got up off my seat on the plane, to outside the airport took me 20 minutes. That is including going through immigration and security checkpoints.
And FlyErbil Is NOT kurdistan Official Plane Airlines, Its A Private Company
Feel sorry for you , what was the price for economy class ? I have been back to Kurdistan few times , I have paid more than $500 for economy , it’s quite expensive
Josh please fly Kuwait airways again and make sure you depart from Kuwait this time
"A lot more developed and progressive than Turkey..." Bro what? Those lavish buildings are probably the reason why you felt as such, and most of these buildings were built by Turkish companies. Even the Erbil Airport was built by Turkish Company and opened to service in 2010.
Yea and its more developed than 70% of turkish cities just because turks got payed building them doesnt mean whole turkey is more developed
Once you go outside of Istanbul you can see how underdeveloped Turkey actually is. One earthquake and half of the country collapses.
yeah thats insane. I am wondering what made him say this
I have only ever been to Istanbul and it's a lovely city.
No it wasn't 😭, it was built and funded by US investors, and most of those lavish buildings were built by kurdish investors
I wish you flew Iraqi airways again. I’ve only had excellent experience with them before. Hopefully in the future.
I will never understand why there is no People mover system inside the new Istanbul Airport. Missed my connection there. Felt like a common thing..
