    I am basically an older rocker but Restless Heart is one of the most underrated country acts I've ever heard.

      Biggest mistake was the lead singer, as usual, went out to do their own thing. Most times the BAND makes it, with some exceptions.

      They did good for a while without Larry. That's the way it almost always is. Or one of the others will leave. Saw it with Highway 101, Paulette Carlson left. Ricochet the drummer left then the fiddle player , Lonestar, John Rich left I think. Little Texas, Brady Seals left to go solo.

    I was out of state (Texas) staying with my dying sister when this song came out and I was so homesick I'd cry when I heard it. I got down 102 lbs. A very rough time, but it was more important to be with my sister. After 33 years, I still miss her. She would have been 76 this year.

      @@celialozano2085 Thank you so very much. She'd be 76 if she'd lived. She died at 43, genetic heart disease from high cholesterol. The medications we have now didn't exist in 1990. Blessings to you and yours.

    2023 and I miss being a kid with AM radio with my grampa😢😢😢 and as I've struggled though life.. Those bluest eyes don't have to always be in Texas.... It can be Montana, Arizona, Kentucky, Georgia, and lots of others 😢😢 Tip of the cap to anyone who remembers a special person with eyes they can't forget 🫡🫡😢😢

      ​@lindatimmons3675 I listen to all the old crooners on albums and the original vinyls from the 20s 30s and 40s those are 75s, you'll have a hell of a hard time finding any of them, I have over 500 of them. In total my collection is over 1,000 strong and I listen to them on a 54 console RCA in perfect condition. There's nothing like the old classics

    I was a sophomore in high school when this came out and I remember sneaking into a local bar and dance club and I danced with a girl that was quite a bit older than me, probably 24 or 25 and gorgeous, we danced all night and she never knew how old I was or if she did she never said. I will never forget that.

      I saw Restless Heart at a local fair in the 1980s. Their stadium performance was as good as studio sound and of course we could feel the speakers. Artists of this talent are a blessing.

      Saw Alabama and Restless Heart in a huge concert in Auburn Hills, MI. This was 1989/1990. Merle Haggard and Ricky Van Shelton were there too. I believe it was the Marlboro Country Music Festival. Heck of a concert.

      I saw recently that Restless Heart, Shenandoah, and Blackhawk are performing some selected dates as the "Triple Threat Tour." I did see Restless Heart and Diamond Rio back in May 2019 in Punxsutawney, PA. What a great show!!!

      Country music was ruined long before millennials had any control over it. The downfall started with stuff like Kenny Chesney, which gave way to acts like Luke Bryan, Big and Rich, Florida Georgia Line, and so on. The millennials were too young for the beginning of it.

      This is actually more pop-country than "real" country. What you're looking for is traditional country, artists like Hank Williams Sr, George Strait, George Jones, etc.

      As a kid of the 70s,, I'm not a C&W purist. I was strictly Rock--Until Charlie Daniels, Marshall Tucker Band and the transformation of Progressive Country Rock. Lots of really good "Country" in the 80s and 90's. Restless Heart (w/ Larry) was one of my favorites.

    I remember my parents playing this song over and over when I was little and how much they loved country music. Always brings back a memory like camping, nascar, and going on road trips. Why do we always want to grow up so fast? It’s funny how music is a lonely haunting memory of the past!

    I was 17 when that song came out. Just as powerful today as it was back then. The artists today could stand to take a lesson or 3 from them. Dam, I miss that era of not only Country, but Rock as well. Real talent back then.

    This is real country. I was born a year before this came out. I remember songs like this playing in my bedroom at night as a kid and feeling at peace and calm. Now we have crap like Florida Georgia Line with their "it'll be it'll be it'll be it'll be" nonsense and other garbage. Good god, how depressing.

      A great US band. This song remembers me our honeymoon trip in 1992 in America, with those songs in our coach driving us through California, Colorado, Utah and Nevada.
      We' re still married since. My wife is the love of my life, after soooo many broken hearts in my youth.

    This is real country music, lyrics that tell a story and actually have meaning to them instead of the crap that's considered country music today, all about drinking beer and such. The days of Restless Heart, Garth Brooks, Diamond Rio, Patty Loveless, Vince Gill and the rest of the soulful country singers are dead and gone i'm afraid but they can still live on through youtube.
