I’m loving your videos! While I’m familiar with most of the general lessons, some of the details of how to do various tasks on the Vision are new. Thank you!

I learned a great new technique. Thank you for sharing this. I have a Luminaire and can see the same screen and have a question-how do I delete the shapes/stamp area? There is no delete button and I have accumulated numerous shapes while playing with this.

You’re welcome, Donna. When in IQ, once you leave and move to the embroidery side, your work will auto delete. You have to save everything to memory if you don’t want to lose it. That being said, if you’re creating in IQ and you want to delete, you can use the arrows at the bottom to go backwards, or use an eraser. There is no “delete” button.

Thank you for such a speedy reply. I found your RUclips so helpful, but I am confused on your reply to my question. I have no arrows. These are not saved in the machine’s memory, but in My Design Center-Saved Outlines. I can see that you have the SAME on your machine. 1- I go to the shape/stamp button. 2- the flower and 3-it brings up saved outlines. And, I am do not know anything about an eraser. I really appreciate anything that you can do to help. My machine is Luminaire xp2.
      Thank you so much..

Thank you. Quick question. I am a new user and purchased a mouse for drawing in IQ. My mouse is very jumpy and sensitive. Do you know how you can adjust the mouse so it functions more like your demo?

I unfortunately don’t know the answer to that. I can tell you that the cheap mouse from Amazon or wherever works best on our machines. Not sure why but the more expensive ones don’t work well.

I noticed you didn't change the number of times the machine stitched over the knockdown. Is that just preference or does it hold the towel down better? Thank you. Great tutorial.

In this case it wouldn’t matter. Once those stitches are sewn they’ll hold where they are. It wouldn’t change that unless I stitched another layer in a different spot. Not sure that makes sense, but I hope it does. 😂

Great tutorial! Years ago when I had another sewing/embroidery machine, my dealer taught us "embossed " , we didn't call it knockdown. Is there any difference?

Great question! I would liken embossed to trapunto. The letters would be more pronounced than an embroidery design.

How can I do this on a Baby Lock Venture? I tried to pick a border shape hoping that I could add a fill stitch. But all I see is an option to add stippling and that stipples everything outside of the border ...not inside.
My machine supposed to have IQ designer but I don't see any options to do what you're showing in this video?

I would suggest getting a class at your retailer. They should offer you classes to get to know your machine. If you check your manual it will show you where to find IQ. It will be in the Home Screen. There is a lot to learn about these machines but if you can’t find IQ I would advise beginning classes for sure.
