Micronutrients can play a pivotal role in the success of a lawn care or turfgrass program. However, many times micronutrients are applied incorrectly and thus are wasted dollars, or worse, wasted nutrients.
As we move into times with tighter restrictions on the lawn care community, it's important we take the time and the opportunity to understand the different liquid and granular micronutrient formulations to make sure the nutrients we apply can actually be used by the plant. Failure to do so can lead to increased instances of fertilizer runoff or even accumulation of heavy metals in the soil.
