    I just found this channel about a month ago and have been watching the newest video, but this is the best stuff. Matt is going over a subject and educating us. Thank you Matt

    Great Video, its4 years now and a lot of water gone under the bridge. What do you recommend now for Fall and Spring application.?
    I’m in Ireland and I’m trying to source the cheapest form of N P K.
    No fancy marketing for me. I think many are fooled by unethical marketing. Nitrogen is nitrogen to me. Your explanation of Urea is brilliant, thank you.

    You do great videos and have amazing into. But i truly believe that you would get more traffic if you put a bit more mind into the video. I have ear buds listening, but it was very difficult not to stop watching because of the sound everytime you throw the pen after taking notes.

    I cannot find any videos that explain how much to put down and when.. everyone says not too much in the spring, but you need it to survive the summer.. so how much in the spring?? Or just dump nitrogen in the fall? I would love an answer

    Outstanding video sir! Will you be covering MESA and bio-solids/organics? Then maybe P and K?

      Barney Bremhorst I touched on Mesa a little in the next video as well as P K and micros. I need to dive into organic for sure. I think a good bio solid vs animal litter breakdown. thanks!

      I love this new format. I think you're gonna get a lot of new followers this way. It's a broader audience and you still get to pump your business.
      Good luck bro! I'm rooting for you.

    If it’s a 50lb bag just divide the N number by 2. 46-0-0 covers 23k sq ft.

    How would you calculate water soluble fertilizer like a 21-0-0 and 20-20-20? Want to put down .25lb per 1000

    • @TheGrassFactor
      @TheGrassFactor  Год назад

      1lb is 20% nitrogen, so would be
      .2lbs of N. So you would apply 1lb/1000sqft. Dissolve it in as much water as it takes you to spray 1000sqft

  • @WaveAction777
    @WaveAction777 6 лет назад

    How long after seeding can fertilizer be used so the salts in N won't dry out the seeds?
    Good information in the video.

    • @TheGrassFactor
      @TheGrassFactor  6 лет назад +1

      Can be used immediately assuming soil moisture is there and lower rates of fertilizer are used

    If a 50lb of 46-0-0 is 25lbs of N, what is the other 25 lbs?

    • @katiebarnes6926
      @katiebarnes6926 3 года назад +1

      That's where I'm confused at in this video. 25-0-0 =25% (N) w/ 50lb bag = ~12.5 lbs (N). Assuming 1lb per 1k sf

    Now urea is from urine correct? Is urea an isolate? Is it just pure urea? Because urine comes with NPK and many other nutrients and micro nutrients. Does urine still convert as quickly to ammonia?

    • @TheGrassFactor
      @TheGrassFactor  6 лет назад +2

      HD MOVIE SOURCE urea and urine are not really connected. Urea is a component of urine, but there are many many many many many more ingredients that compose urine

    • @hdmoviesource
      @hdmoviesource 6 лет назад +1

      Ok, Yea, Im actually running some tests right now to see how good urine is as a fertilizer. Been putting it in a hose end sprayer and it looks very good. I only eat fruits and veg so I have no added sodium in my diet so it won't burn the grass, and Ill assume nitrogen is lower because I don't eat high protein foods like meat. Im testing to see how things work this on my lawn in a natural environment vs synthetic which I want to remove myself from.
