  • After a breakup or a divorce, it seems as if men are just waiting to shoot their shot as soon as you let it be known you’re single. But is there ever a time when it’s too soon? Plus, the “auntie” debate returns, and this time it’s Dionne Warwick dishing out the rules. We also weigh in on Sephora’s new diversity and inclusion plans.

It was so awkward growing up because all of my white friend stole because they could get away with it, but when we walked into a store together, I was the one followed. I’ve never stolen in my life lol.

Here in Hawai’í nei we use “Aunty” and “Uncle” as a term of endearment and respect for our elders. It’s not meant to make you feel old😂😭😂
I remember the first time a teenage addressed me as “Aunty” I was in my late 20s and I knew it wasn’t meant to be offensive bc I was taught to treat elders with the same love and respect.

And noticed how most of the policies actually subconsciously affect the black community and that to me I’m glad was acknowledged in some form... I think companies should take heed to making sure all consumers feel safe , regarded and understood and not misjudged and targeted the moment they come in the store

The locks on make up is because people are stealing and they don’t always have workers in those isles. It is annoying. Maybe they should give workers a job to look over those isles? Cause that makes me just want to go to Ulta

I have this one memory when I was a child. I was in a CVS and I picked up some candy and was thinking if I wanted it or not so I can give it to my mom to buy. She was at the register. A random old white female said "you know it's cameras all around this store that's watching you" I was like oh wow really because I already knew that but I didn't know at the time why she said that. Until after I got older I realized what was done and it stills bothers me as to why my mother said nothing

OR who was that guy I was dating that he didn’t get the respect from his friends to have the code followed for?

Loni said it's hard to be black in America. Please try any of the African countries, where the abuse, war, child trafficking, many more horrendous things going on, but don't go to a hotel and safari, go to the villages with one public sewer and LIVE over there to experience the REAL every day life of black people NOT in America.
Or live in any of the Asian countries -- where you will be OPENLY discriminated against plus more.
This OBVIOUSLY coming from a person that doesn't have any international LIVING experience.
Please listen to Jason Whitlock in contrast to this ignorant show with the people that aren't eligible to discuss politics and only pushing the divisive brainwashing to the individuals that don't have a mind of their own.

In South Africa out of respect, er have to say aunty or tannie, no matter how old you are. It's out of respect. Or Uncle so and so or Oom, it's the respectful way to speak.

I guess it is cultural because in African culture you call any older woman or man “aunty” or “uncle” even if it’s your first time meeting them. you don’t call any person 10+ years older by their first name. It’s seen as disrespect.
