Kinda wild to think that Carlos is the only driver other than Max to have won a race in the past 11 months. Twice.
And for that entire time Checo has had the same car as Max
I mean even back at Mclaren, when Carlos has a clear opportunity the man fucking shows up. He's just rarely given those opportunities because of the cars he's in/up against. Plus everyone is so in love with Leclerc for whatever reason that still baffles me but that's a whole other can of worms I won't bother opening.

We had Guenther on the Australian coverage all weekend with Damon Hill. They were their own comedy duo as Damon was apparently Guenther's chauffeur 🤣🤣🤣
I think when F1 TV showed the 'good' Sauber's pit stop, it's because there was a wheel nut rolling away from the car
Yes, correct.
When a 3.8-second pitstop is deemed a good stop, you know that team is in shambles.
At least their Content Creating team is top notch.

Yeah, it's just ironic people celebrating too hard on Max DNF, but the race was the same, Leclerc wasn't attacking, Norris can't get close... Perez Nowhere...
It was actually the worst race in a while. Lots of wheel to wheel racing and position changes the last couple of races and people just moaned because Max was the best. Almost nothing happened in this race and people are celebrating just because Max had a brake failure at the start. Is people's enjoyment of the sport really based so heavily on disliking one specific driver?
The race was good if you enjoy a strategy battle when max is leading 8 laps in hes already 18 seconds ahead so he can pit without losing position atleast this way there was a lot more risks relatively

Regarding the Russell crash:
Just watch the Russell onboard. In my opinion he had more than enough time to react to Alonso slowing down before the corner. Of course it was intentional from Alonso to disturb Russell but since when is this illegal. The FIA acting like you have to drive every lap exactly the same and are not allowed to adapt your steering/braking/throttle.
And again for those who think Russell didn't had a chance to react. Please just rewatch his onboard.

Honestly Guenther was really good imo. I had no problem understanding him and he didn't seem out of place
Fun fact: the italian caster ACTUALLY SAID: "let Vasseur cook" in Italian of course. Needless to say, i had to rewind to make sure i heard that correctly
Geunther interviewing is the best thing that could happen. Drivers feel more loose and willing to share info with a familiar face instead of another random media personnel.
It was the one of the most stilted post-race interviews ever though.
Like, on paper, yes. In reality, no.
Why is this guy everyone’s favourite? He bully’s people, makes them feel like crap…did a shocking job as team principle yet still people cried when he got the sack lol
Ah yes David Coulthard, just another random media personnel lol
Wait, what? It's usually a former driver. This comment is nonsense.
Also, Charles clearly couldn't even understand what Guenther was saying. I love Guenther, but he's not great at interviewing people. Clearly.
???
I loved the Guenther post race interview even though I couldn't understand half of it 😂
Hahahaha. Loved Leclerc's confused expression trying to figure out and understand what Guenther was trying to ask him. Really thought they would resort to speaking Italian for them to understand each other. 😂
The fact that Max already had the brake stuck problem from the start and he was still very quick and Carlos only managed to overtake him because Max made a mistake (due to the brake thing) and Max was still fast until the right rear basically gave up was for me a bit unthinkable. Imagine driving with such a thing at a very high speed and still competitive.
The dude was faster than Carlos over a lap with one wheel drive and 3/4 brakes working properly. Really feels like we were robbed of an awesome 10-15 laps of lead changes last night. I just want to see max have to win or lose in an actual contest, not this way.
i think Sainz appendix got stuck in Max's brakes😂
I'm enjoying having Guenther in the broadcasts, hope we get more of it

Jens' English is a lot easier to follow, since he clear emphasises every word like he's spent 20 years talking only to non-German speakers.
That guys is unbearable to watch

2024 Australian GP: 2023 Singapore GP PART III?

It was Carlos Sainz who had the appendectomy, not Alex Albon.
I think the lack of fighting at the front this race proves that the current era of f1 isn’t predictable because of max it’s predictable because of the clean air p1 gets unfortunately I think these cars have run into the same problem they were designed to fix
IMO it's an issue F1 flirts with year after year by design.
1, open development means cools car and stinker cars alike. If your engineers go down a bad path, it's going to take a lot of time and money to claw out of it. Meanwhile on the track, drivers can only extract so much out of a poor car, and distances between them separate.
2, As long as a significant amount of grip comes from over body aero, getting close enough to pass will always be difficult. Every time a racing series tries out a giant wing, they find out that following becomes terrible.
the races have become way too predictable. the teams getting points are basicly decided unless there is a mechanical problem, if verstappen and both mercs didnt DNF, haas and RB wouldn't have had any points. most fights were again for P12 this race with P1-5 decided after half the race.
Also, the fact that they're not as nimble as prior years. I've noticed drivers don't really go side by side into certain corners, even when the speed is lower than usual. And they always try to save tyres so conceding is better strategically than fight for position. That's just some stuff 've observed but I could be wrong
I was just happy to hear 2 different national anthems on the podium today in all honesty...

The best meme I seen was a fake "breaking" post saying breaking, sainz to race with Sargent appendix 😂

Hearing and seeing the Ferrari team singing along to the Italian national anthem was something else 🥲
Agree with you. Max would probably would have won but he would have fought Carlos for a while. No, instead, Carlos won with a gap (maybe not as big as Max) but still. Got a "free" pitstop at the end and came out ahead with a nice margin. Some will say its the best race in a while simply because Max didnt win but it wasnt. Kudos to Carlos for winning that, he did absolutely amazing all weekend. I wish we could see him in a Red Bull next season even if its just one season. I like Checo but he was no where again...
I have the feeling THIS TIME it would have been a better race WITH Max. I think there could have been some action really. It was nice to see someone else win sure, but the race itself was boring as fuck really. I mean, there was nothing really going on and I really wonder if this goes on for the whole season now. Why is nothing really happening? The only overtakes kinda were due to pit stops and car swapping within a team. Nothing else. Whats going on really.
Cars too wide/big, too much dirty air
@@BuriedDutchman yeah probably. It's just sad. I mean, we went through 3 races now. And it doesn't matter if we have Max there or not. Nobody really can do overtakes. Nobody really fights. Not even the middle of the field was really fighting. I can't wait for 2026 and hope things will change a lot. Probably we will have a new domination era, but honestly. I don't care if Ferrari, Mercedes or who ever will be dominant. But I want to see some racing. Some fighting on the track. But now we don't have anything like that. I mean the best show we got so far was Magnussen being borderline legal/illegal farming penalties to block Hülk. This was the most interesting part of this season so far.

I'm very curious about 2026. Smaller engines, more electrification (and with that maybe heavier). I don't see the cars getting smaller though, unfortunately.
Maybe if they're heavier, they'll be slower overall which could open up more opportunities for overtaking on straights
Yeah, we'd have got some action for 2 laps before her darted off into the distance. Although maybe because Red Bull didn't look so smooth on their tyres this weekend.
I had the same feeling. This could've been a really good fight for the lead based on the weekend as a whole.
So good to see Matt finally catch a break

Agreed it was very mean of everyone to root for Hamilton to DNF when he was on top. Oh wait it's okay because he was British and they're the designated villains. It's now bad when it happens to a different dominant driver. Poor Max. :'(
The amount of crying British fans do because Max is dominating F1 after 8 years of Hamilton dominance is really the saddest pitiful thing in F1 history.

You'll find a lot of UK fans were equally as anti-Hamilton during his dominant period as anti-Verstappen.
People get bored when one car/driver dominates for years. Especially when they have an uncompetitive teammate.
