I honestly loved this game! The only thing I was really annoyed by, was that they made this huge beautiful world, then left it completely empty. I get it was for story reasons, but I would have loved a restoring Athia campaign. I’m definitely gonna try the dlc! n.n
But like....... It's an open world game. An empty open world is a huge problem when you consider people pay 60-70 dollars for these games and expect to have something to do for some hours.

Not ok, most reviews didnt even mention the great dungeon boss battles that you can do or the extremely generous in game cosmetics to earn or how each spell upgrade changes your power pretty drastically. Its a 7.5/10 game and that is OK, people.

No, there’s always a minority who like things the majority didn’t. You’ll often find the minority can be “noisier” insisting the majority are wrong. That doesn’t include you, of course, but you’ll often see comments from people insisting games like Forspoken or Calisto are not bad. In the same way, there is always a minority who don’t like what the majority love and the “noisy” ones amongst the minority insist it must be overrated. It sucks but it happens to all of us at some point.
No the haters are just way louder about it and sadly the haters are the majority but I doubt like 80-90% of them actually played it. Probably just did the usual sheep thing.
because you can play the DLC from the main menu without having to finish the game, so someone might choose to play the DLC first before playing the main game
It's an okay game but for some reason in this day and age, that means it's bad and terrible to the social media generation. Just because a game may not be a masterpiece doesn't mean it can't be enjoyable. Once again, it feels like many of the critics haven't even played the game themselves and just jumped on the hate bandwagon because that's the trendy thing to do.

Just literally finished the game , put 30 hours in .. paid only 40 bucks... Not bad. Story was decent with a twist ... Gameplay is fun give it a 8 out of 10 because the performance, very unoptimized on PC otherwise I had a great time , looking forward to the dlc . Long live the tantas...

Picked this up on sale recently and really surprised how much i've enjoyed it! DO not go off the demo its awful and doesnt reflect the overall game and its quality! Since launch many issues have been fixed like the lighting etc... I much prefer forspoken over hogwarts and i'm pissed they wont be making a sequel as I think forspoken has the template for something quite special! Its a solid 7/10 For me and i'm really looking forward to playing this DLC.
It made 7 million in just steam sales in it's first month. Went to Wal Mart the other day and it's still 70 dollars. Usually if a game is selling underwhelming they would knock down the price after it's first week. I got farcry 6 for 30 dollars a week after launch at Wal Mart.

I for some reason keep coming back to this game as something to pick up. 🤔 I generally would love to try it, especially since you can pick this up for fairly cheap nowadays, but part of me is willing to pick it up once it ports to Xbox where I just prefer to play games, granted I know it’ll be sometime in 2025. Forspoken was a lot better than people give it credit for. The open world being kind of empty was unfortunate but the dungeons and the blight storms were cool.
It's not as bad as the internet would have u think. If u give it a few hours (yes some of the dialogue is cringe lol) it get really fun once u hit the open world. Plus if she is talking too much u can literally make it so she doesn't speak unless it's plot relevant via the accessibility option.

@sion8626 I totally agree, I was surprisingly hooked and beat it before continuing GoW Ragnarok. The fast paced combat hooked me, and I turned the chatter down to minimal and my experience was fine. So many ppl leave out the fact that the Accessibility setting exist for players experience/enjoyment. Lol despite reviews, I had a blast and will play thru the DLC, then simply uninstall for extra space when FF16 and Diablo 4 drops
If you were indeed blown away by the first dlc trailer then you should really play it. There's a demo out if you wanna try it before buying it but it's really bad at introducing you to the game.

Forspoken is a great game with the same fun and entertaining combat mechanics Final Fantasy XV had. The beautiful and mysterious apocalyptic open world filled with exotic mutated zombies and monsters (and skeletons) gives great Witcher 3 and Final Fantasy vibes. A superb and very fluent fast-paced game with the best-looking combat mage playstyle ever. Going deeper and deeper into the corrupted wastelands to hunt down the Tantas is a great experience, love the game! 8/10 is a realistic rating for the main game and also the DLC for everyone thinking on their own instead of jumping on the stupid hate-bandwagon that is currently trying to shitstorm and destroy literally every single good AA and AAA game that got released during the last three years or so :)

@Gary Pasquill I plan on playing it again in the future because i love games so much and i appreciate the game devs who give us such a great escape. I also couldn't continue playing jedi survivor because the frame rate gave me a headache and it was so broken. Some games just need more time.

I love Forspoken i want a sequel in the future. But i wanted a story dlc taking place after the ending.
Playing on PC & it's certainly still has optimization problems but still very much playable..Id give it a 7.5
