In your original review for Forspoken, you gave the game a 4.5, and then recently Noisy Pixel also gave Golem a 4.5 - I know it’s likely different reviewers were responsible, but do you feel like the two games are genuinely on the same level as each other? For what it’s worth, I also agree that the DLC is disappointing, but I do think the base game had more to appreciate than people gave it credit for.
The combat is unfortunately weak. It could've been cool if there was meaningful character/loadout customization tied to the world and freedom to tackle the enemies with different schools of magic instead of enforcing color-matching for most enemies.
How'd this game get dlc? Also does anyone actually like damage numbers? They instantly put me off a game but does anyone actually see those and think wow now I know how much damage I'm doing each time
They are fine in slower paced games with a subdued special effects. Not in a glorified shooter with particle explosions, seemingly doing a speedrun in killing epileptic people, like this game.
Aw, Man. Sucks that you could get nothing out of the game. I know that feeling, i had that with Bioshock Infinite. 😅 I'm a huge fan of Forspoken & I loved this DLC. Even though it's short, there is enough Stuff in there to give me a great time, plus due to it being more compact, it has very high replayability for me. I soaked up all the Lore from the Main Game & it was very cool to get some more on the Rheddig + Visoria. Cinta is my favorite character in the game & having her return in a more prominent role in this DLC was everything i wanted out of this. I like how they flip the switch on you & you're now more of a support character to Cinta than the All-Powerful magical Killing Machine you're in the Main Game. 😄 I had a lot of fun with Forspoken & In Tanta We Trust. Definitely gonna be in my top 5 at the end of the year.
@@YesNo-yl6ws Well, yeah. I mean, what releases this year? Jedi Survivor is in my top 5, no doubt. Won't play FFXVI Assassin's Creed Mirage looks promising Mortal Kombat 1, maybe. Perhaps Spider-Man 2
I actually fucks with it new area new powers you get fight alongside her mom I wish they would have started with this dlc first or the prologue it would make the story make more sense
They must have been working on this alongside the main game because if they made this afterwards they're making some silly choices. The game bombed, just stick and move. Story dlc that fixes nothing wrong with the base game is a waste of time, effort, and money.
Well you're comparing excrement with diahrea Forspoken had the anti-humour that fell flat so hard it reversed back to being funny which had more entertainment value than redfall for me

You know how that sounds, right? Literally none of the dialogue or events in the game have anything to do with her being black. It’s not “on trend”, she just happens to be black. By your definition, you should boycott Spider-Man: Miles Morales too because a game about a black character is “on trend” and they discuss BLM within it.
@@Evanz111 exactly so i do, why discuss that bullshit, how about discussing the white boys stabbed to death by black gangs too every day, it's a fucking game keep it that way
Dude said boycott. Not, no it's not for me I'll pass, but boycott. So I'm guessing spamming basic Caucasians throughout gaming history wasn't a trend then and still now? Get the fuck out of here.
damn, you reviewed the DLC? that's dedication.
To be disappointed after expecting nothing is the harshest burn I have heard in a while.

game's are never on a universal scale in review scores, one game getting a 6 and another a 7 don't mean one is lower than the other
@@marcusclark1339 Yeah, you’re right ^^ especially when they set out to achieve different things
It really seems like it's a gorgeous game, had great artists and programmers that were let down by fanfic level writing.
Even without the writing the combat is meh the world is meh everything about this game is a big balnd meh
The combat is unfortunately weak. It could've been cool if there was meaningful character/loadout customization tied to the world and freedom to tackle the enemies with different schools of magic instead of enforcing color-matching for most enemies.
@benfoster6715 Less can be said about the Harry Potter games combat but yeah this combat system definitely just seems like square enix tried and true
Most games have fanfic level writing, homie. You don't really go to gaming for deep writing outside of the exceptions and outliers
Idk even the combat felt not right, it was sluggish ....
Yoshi-P is definitely doing a lot to cover up the fact that the rest of Square Enix is still horribly managed
He’s just chillin lol

Sorry :(
It was well deserved. Base game was mid at best. Square Enix had to do this dlc for the season pass holders

Gacha gamers are the usually on that like to flex damage number to cope on how much they spend on a JPEG.

At least it’s only 12.49 right? Still gonna wait for a sale on it tho. Wish they would’ve took criticism and fixed this based on it
They were wondering who is that ONE person the only buyer of this dlc.
Well wonder no more :)

Funny how nobody bats an eye anymore when companies who just recently released a game has a ready made DLC a few months after.
_Break Bob_ was the best character.
He died far too young....

Yikes they should have known better than invest into developing dlc for this trainwreck 😅
A waste of time, despite the gameplay.
Japanese devs designed the gameplay. Western social justice warriors stood for the writing. And this is the result 😂
