Hope I'm wrong, but I have a feeling there will be a good amount of used R7's in the next few years. Sorry, but it's a hard to have a bike that looks like and has the ergonomics of a sportbike and only produce 67 hp. For $9k, someone will love it, grow tired of it, and then trade it in. I was going to purchase one of these, but I'll just buy a used 600cc sportbike instead.

You do realize that the FZ/MT/R7’s make more horsepower below 10K rpm than an R6…and the R6 never make as much torque as the 7’s have at 4K rpm. On track where a good rider can keep an R6 over 10K it will be faster. On the street stoplight to stoplight and on your favorite local twisty road the R7 will be more fun than an R6

Don’t need too much tech or riding modes, nor do I need a good 100+HP. Just want to get out and ride anything, and enjoy it for what it is and provides. Been riding for years and always enjoyed the smaller and lighter bikes such as the Duke 390’s, Ninja 300 and the R3 is an awesome little bike. The Aprilia RS660 is one beautiful bike and I’m close to buying, but think this new R7 will just as equally provide me with what I’m after. Ride what you want and are in to :-)

People criticizing "HP bois" for citing that it's underpowered-- it is. I'm certainly not an HP boi, but as an experienced rider the sweet spot is 100-115 HP with a linear power band for spirited street riding and occasional track. Aprilia nailed this with the 660 at 100 on the dot and Honda has the CBR650 at 95. If this was offered with even 90 HP giving it some extra juice to the MT07 it's a winner compromise cool looking sport bike with great handling and practical power. 67 is a joke.
