    Got my R7 March of this year, about to hit 30k miles on it. For what it is, it's a fun bike, definitely a great bike to get someone into riding, was perfect for me getting back on 2 wheels after nearly a decade of not riding (prior bike was 04 gsxr600). Pretty easy to work on, no real complaints for what it is.

      You hit the nail on the head. The r7 has perfect power in my opinion and enough premium components to be a good bike. I’d like to upgrade from my sv650s to one of these eventually. If more people were honest with themselves about how much bike they need they would go with the r7.

    The R7 is great here in Florida, especially the "always" expanding city I reside in, where traffic is usually congested 2 times a day. The R7 has that perfect power and torque that can be used with maximum utility, from evading a possible collision to easily cruising the open highways.
    Her aerodynamic body provides efficient wind penetration.
    I started on a 300cc, and after 2 months, I bought the '24 R7. There was definitely a significant difference between the two.

    I’ve been on motorized bikes since I was 12, I’ve worked with and rode a fair share of 4/2 strokes, I’ve done a 125cc 2 stroke all the way to a 200cc 4 stroke it was on a very custom bicycle frame and frankly when I installed a 3speed shift kit to it the thing was down right terrifying was thinking about starting out on an R1 since I have a fair amount of experience with clutching, shifting, and throttling but I’m indecisive on what bike I really want as my first

    No body understands what Yamaha is doing🤦‍♂️.Many people are mad that the r6 got discontinued for the r7 but I’m willing to bet 99% of those people shit talking can’t push an r7 near its limits🤣 never mind an r6. If you really wanna go fast in a straight line get an r1 lmao. They still sell the r6 in a track version because it’s very good TRACK bike. Not so go on the streets because it lacks bottom end torque. The r7 is a very good street bike and track back. I had a cbr 600 and cbr 1000. I have way more fun on the r7 than those two bikes on both street and track. Anyways I can’t wait for the r9 man, thing will be sweet!

    Coming from a ZX-14 and now riding a 1050 Speed Triple RS, I can't ever see having to wrench that throttle the way you did to get to speed. Throttle control is the key. I can moderately use my throttle and do what you need to do without getting ridiculous. Ride a Street Triple 765 and you'll see a better riding experience.

    I got this bike and it nice but I think Yamaha could’ve made it a bit more comfortable for the street. Lowered the foot pegs a bit or at least make them adjustable, and maybe a 1 inch rise on the bars on this bike would be perfect. Let’s face it we’re not taking corners at 60 miles an hour on your average city streets.

    • @vTxnto
      @vTxnto 2 месяца назад +1

      No, considering this bike falls under the 650 class. However, if you never had experience and you want a 650 class bike, you have to be more considerate when operating one.
      As the creator mentioned, this bike delivers immediate torque. If you snap open the throttle, you are more likely to have the bike leave you in the dust.
      I advise you to take your MSF course and then consider whether you are capable of riding a 650 class bike. If you feel that you aren't, I recommend a 400 class bike.
