if you live in Australia I’d recommend to buy it from core electronics as you can bundle it with a pi zero W and rechargeable batteries to save on the shipping costs
They didn't have any cases in stock at the time of making this video but I did buy the Pi Zero from them, would recommend!
Any help on installing the Brad theme. I followed your steps but still end up with only the original carbon theme available
Also, is there any issue with having more than one of these in a household? Will you just be updating the rom file on all of them via the same file?
im getting a mixer error in the menus
everything worked fine until i expanded my memory (last step) when my unit got stuck on a loop. turns on runs something then shuts down in a continuous loop. please help!

I haven't done it myself but I believe you'll have to connect to the pi via its onboard usb port before you install it into the pi

cant get file to show up as config file and I think that's why I cant connect to my network tried doing what you did and it keeps saving as txt file
Try enabling file extensions in the Windows settings and you should manually be able to change it from txt to conf

HI there the video is great, but i being stuck in one part is not showing the ip and also when it comes to put the putty file can't do it as i'm using a Mac my ip comes as uknown.. any tip that what i could do...thanks anyway
This would indicate to me that you haven't connected to your WiFi properly. Make sure you're following the steps from 05:36 - you need to replace all that text with your corresponding country, wifi name and password than save it as a .conf file. i did properly and comes like that and the link from the other guy is not showing that step is not showing connecting also is not showing how is connect his gpi to the mac so i stop i will give it a crack tomorrow otherwise i will use a windows computer it looks easy to do it that way
@@abelesteve9881 If you watch the video at the top of the page he goes into how to connect with a mac. That's always an option too, hope it works out for you!
Can you buy it completely ready to play?
How do I set up if I changed my router and devices. My IP address is no longer the same nor is my WIFI name or password. How do I update the correct info?
I've been following the exact same steps, but the only difference was a difference in retropie version and image writer. I've been using the official Raspberry Pi Imager instead of etcher, and I've been using retropie v4.7.1, instead of v4.4. I can get through everything, all the way up to testing the safe shutdown script. It installs fine, but when I go to test it (I begin testing at the menu where "retropie" is in the dead center), instead of the code showing up on the screen, the screen goes straight to black, and my data gets corrupted. Is there a new script for v4.7.1? Or is there something odd about v4.7.1? I can't seem to find anywhere that I could download the older version and use the EXACT same imager, so if I NEED to use v4.4, I would like some links on where to find it. If you could help me, it would be greatly appreciated!
I'm not really up to date with any of this stuff lately but I believe the safe shut down script comes preconfigured with the new Retroflag image.

how do i add box covers without keyboard?
Well I haven't actually done that so I'm not entirely sure. I did have to configure the controls when I installed a new PS1 emulator which requires you press the 'ESC' key to access the menu. I did this via a bluetooth keyboard app on my android, you'll also have to install a custom keyboard called "hackers keyboard" if you want a whole bunch of other keys similar to a desktop keyboard (like ESC, ctrl, alt etc). How did you get ps1 to run so well? Mine is so slow?
You need to change the pre installed emulator to another one that runs better on the pi zero.

So I just downloaded pcsx reARMed but the controls dont seem to work?
So this next part is a bit of a pain, but you have to configure the controls manually, which requires you to press the 'esc' key on a keyboard to access the emulators menu. I did this by installing an app on my phone called 'hackers keyboard' which gives you a 'virtual esc button' on your phone. Next I installed an app called 'Bluetooth keyboard and mouse' which allows you to pair with the pi and press buttons once you're connected. Open the emulator and press your virtual esc key and the menu will pop up. From there navigate to controls and press the appropriate buttons on the pi.
My Gpi Case is having trouble displaying IP address. Is there anyone can help me with that.
