This video was a GREAT HELP to me today. Thank you so much for taking the time to make the video - especially using great camera positions, use of fast motion, etc. Very Easy to understand.
Thanks for posting this video. My original time estimate was 1 hour. After watching the video, I know this will take me 3 hours assuming I use a power ratchet or screwdriver instead of the 1/4 inch ratchet Don was using. The air box removal will require I jack up the front end a minimum of 3 feet. ( I don't have access to a hoist).
Does this also apply to the different types of bumpers for the MK1 line of Focus? Or only for the one in the video? My model comes with round turn signal lights.
I removed mine of my 2001and i never had to remove the air intake box or 3 10mm screws or a row of 7mm screws i think certain years actually do vary in what is there and how they go together my bumper didn't even have holes for most of theses screws you mentioned
Hi, thank you for great video. I own 2006 Focus, and I am missing the 7mm bolt on my bumper, you are removing it in your video at 2:00 min mark, do you know what kind of bolt it is? Thank you.
Thank you for watching our video! For that type of hardware your best bet would be to visit your local dealership as they should be able to provide you with that specific bolt. Thank you again, and have a good day!
@@1AAuto ok, thanks man. i usually try to buy and install whatever i can myself and learn from youtube vids, but this job looks like it needs to be up on a rack to get to air intake box, etc... and my husband doesn't like to get his hands dirty, lol :(

My side marker light is going out because the connector is finicky behind that airbox I don't know how I'm going to get my hand up there without taking everything apart.
Take off the splash guard cover that is attached to the bottom of the bumper with about 8 or 12 (can't remember exact number plastic fasteners. These usually are worn so I used a pick to pop the plastic Phillips insert with pressure between the clip and insert. While I did that I also used a Phillips to unscrew the plastic insert from the clip. After a few turns the clips should pull out fairly easily. There's 4 that are hidden very well and a flashlight is key to locating all these. I think there's a few other things in the way but this is majority of what's holding it up keeping you from seeing anything underneath Please replace the splash guard. I know it's tempting to leave it out for ease of finding things, but it really saves all the components under the hood and keeping things in better shape
It should be almost the same, if not identical. Best way to know for sure is to get under there and look for the screws/bolts holding everything together. The process will be similar, even if the bolt locations aren't the same. Buy your auto parts from 1AAuto.com?RUclips&CTA%20Comment&ATony

if I purchase my own replacement bumper and splash guard, do you think a garage woukd install them for me for the cost of labor?
+e m Thanks for watching. That is something you would have to arrange with the garage as every garage has different policies. 1aauto.com

What is the part called that’s the cover underneath the bumper(splash cover?), mine broke on my 2000 focus and trying to search for a replacement
+DescendedLifeGaming It should be referred to as a splash guard. Thanks for checking us out. 1aauto.com
How do you replace the upper radiator support? Is it just on bolts?

What is the actual name of the "shroud" cover over the grill called?
+YOOPER_vs_World There is no real name for that piece, just a plastic panel. I would try searching under "upper grille panel." 1aauto.com

How similar is this to the 2004 models?
