    The video Daws Butler: Voice Magician is a 1987 documentary of Butler's career from his pre-MGM days on up through his teaming with Freberg in 1949 and the teaming with Don Messick in 1957. It was originally seen as a PBS pledge-drive special.

    The most definitive documentary of Daws Butler outside of the biography that was written about him, "Daws Butler: Character's Actor". I love, love, love this PBS documentary no matter how many times I've seen it. I like the clips of him voicing the characters and the interplay with Stan Freberg, Don Messick, and Penny Singleton.

    I dont care what anyone says who was the greatest voice actor...Paul Frees, Mel Blanc...to me it was Daws Butler! You were my hero!

    When Dawes said that he was a bit jealous of Stan I can see that because he the other main character to do on the puppet show, which DEF he was not very comfortable in his hand, especially finger
