- There are places in SoCal where the marriage of the landmark, and the location, are as perfect as can be. Paris has the Eifel, New York, the Empire, but Los Angeles has the Griffith Observatory. Vintage LA’s Alison Martino drives her classic Mercedes up to the top of Mount Hollywood to meet long-time director of the Griffith, and vintage Camaro owner, Dr. Ed Krupp. Dr. Krupp has been called the real-life Indiana Jones. Get ready for the SoCal Scene’s private tour of the magnificent Griffith Observatory.
Thanks again and again to the amazing Alison Martino for re-enchanting our great city, over and over, here there and everywhere!
Fab piece! I remember Dr. Krupp from late 70’s! Jazzed he is still there and looks wonderful! You serve an Emmy fer sure!
I just loved seeing Adele's concert there! 🤗 Lately, I was glad to see it featured in an episode of La Brea. Thanks again Alison! 💖
Love all your videos. My husband and I grew up in So Cal, but have lived out of state for 45 years. We visit occasionally and are like tourists exploring. When you live there you don’t really appreciate how special it is.
Watching all your videos and FB pages take us right back to our childhood. Thanks.
Every SoCal kid school trip memories ✨
Wish I'd been there!
That was fascinating. What a great segment! Good luck..
I have seen this place in many films , its nice to have some background information on it. Would love to visit there someday.
I work here. I got to see Allison's father perform back in the nineties. My friend used to be her friend back then too.
Would love to know where you saw my father and who was your friend?
Visited there a few times when I was in grad school in LA ... nothing like it. Great report Alison!
Thank you!
Wonderful piece. Your father is one of my mother's favorite singers and she's 84 in Montreal
I know when it comes to the Griffith Observatory, most people think about "Rebel Without a Cause" or "Rush Rush" video, but I can't help but think of the Wonder Years episode, guest starring Timothy Stack...😂🤣 Best wishes from Poland, Alison!
LOVED THIS! Thank you, Alison!
Sadly a place I've never been....hopefully one day. Fantastic segment!
I haven't! Never will, at my age! LOVED THIS VIDEO, THOUGH!
I wish I could see this in person! AWESOME!
Well done
