This is what I was looking for in the comments.. thanks. 🤭😁
7notes Staples Center
Thank uuu
Some of the spots here I see almost everyday and not even bother checking them out...
Same tourist list...does he even live in SoCal? Other than Spire 73 don't agree with the list.
You live there? Of course it isnt worth checking out if you see it everyday, lol. This is for people like me who are coming to smoke to weed but could use a few places to check out for free to walk around blazed, lmao.
@@karateflix Ok...but be careful where you walk Downtown. You may step in something unpleasant.
@Kaptain Kid No...I don't agree with it. I know my mother loves me. The question is, does yours????
@MrBigEnchilada You do know you can see a performance inside the Walt Disney Concert Hall (LA Philharmonic)? Also it was designed by famed architect Frank Gehry. Its not everyday you come across a building designed by him.
I've been living in LA for more than 21 years and I did not know most of these places. Great guide!
Been living in LA for 2 years now and I must admit that i really need to go out and see more of LA. Thanks!
Finally! A decent not-so-touristy-things-to-do-in-LA video!! Awesome job!
Thanks, I appreciate it!
I followed this guide when i went! Please check out my LA vlog!! Would love for you to subscribe :)
Agree. Lot I didn't know about. Good vid
Came to the comments to say this. Thanks!
All these things are touristy Haha don't do it! Lol
Wow. You just gave me a few RUclips posibilities. I love L.A. and this video is a hidden gem.
I delivered liquor in Downtown LA for 20 years from the late 60s to the late 80s and I also lived in downtown from 1999 to 2009 you did a good job I know all the places and seen them all many times brings back memories thank you for your video
I love downtown Los Angeles. And the surrounding areas.
'Instagramable' that's a very important word!
😱
I’ve lived in La my whole life I don’t know shit about these places
Omar Mendoza me too ! lol
Lol
How come he left out going to south LA to the taco truck on 59 and Central
me too lol
really..thats sad
if you're from La and haven't explored these places let's go!
Captain Chumbuwumba I’m down if you are!
I'll be there in September 😁
Captain Chumbuwumba I’m down as well 😀
Captain Chumbuwumba I’ll be there end of August
@@callmebyyourname1448 I'll be out there in September too lol for my birthday weekend
Not mentioned yet:
-Biltmore Hotel
-Bonaventure Hotel
-the oldest church bldg of the city at El Puebo de Los Angeles
-spotting of stuff like:
--murals, -fountains, -theaters on Broadway,
-free concerts in the summer
-a hidden, rooftop, Japanese garden at a hotel
how do you get up there
whats the hidden rooftop?
Roe C. : Double tree Hilton hotel
Where can we find the japanese garden?
Maria Angela Kara Butalid : the Double Tree Hilton , take the elevator to garden level.
There is more to Los Angeles than just the beaches and Hollywood walk of fame. Glad you were able to show people the hidden beauty of this city.
Or Disney or Hollywood sign lol
You can’t forget the flower/fashion district :)) and Santee Alley it’s fun to splurge on random cheap things there
Skip dodger stadium and go to griffith observatory. It's not in downtown but it's close.
WHILE U R IN BEAUTIFUL L.A. SNIFF THAT FRESH SMOGY AIR AND DEAL WITH THAT NICE EVERY DAY TRAFFIC.CHECK IT OUT FOLKS.
Or the Getty’s museum
um, "close" if you go after traffic dies down..but then it would be closed anyway...
Never skip the Dodger stadium, how dare you
Yeah skip it especially with security guard Gary who like to pick on disabled customer s.
The monthly downtown art walk is another great event. Happens first Thursday of every month. Lots of artist selling their stuff but also attracts tons of food trucks and great for people watching.
This was Supercalifragilisticexpialidocious! I am 71 and a native. You took me to so very many NEW places and revisited so many of my favorites. BTW Clifton's open in 1935. I with my parents ate there often starting for me at age 3. Many locations have been in other films than Blade Runner. But I love what you did and have watched twice now. Bravo.
Thank you, I really appreciate that!
You're white though. How are you native?
Is Clifton's even still open????...looks closed Everytime I pass by...
" supercalifragilisticexpialidocious" 😂😂😂
@@wolfmansicario4993 Clifton's has closed the cafeteria portion of the business and is currently closed in order to turn it into a marketplace.
Dude. I lived in LA for 24 years and I still haven’t checked out some of these spots. Hahaha. Next visit. I’m making a list. Thanks for the tips. 😎👍🏽
Glad I could show you some new spots!
They're tearing most of LA down to gentrify and add these new places constantly
I live there for 18 years and couldn't wait to get the hell out of the hell hole.
@@californiathroughmylens IF YOU CAN AVOID THE LIBERALS THAT RUINED CAN'TAFFORDYA I'D RECOMMEND THE REAL L A LANDSCAPE , THE HOMELESS !!!!!
@@mrHoppedupford ok.... good for you I think...
I love la. Proud to be born and raised here.
@Paul D I have on both coasts and in between. LA puts most major U.S. cities to shame. LA just has a lot more of everything from museums (of every type and scope) to concerts to other cultural amenities, etc. As I type this LA metro now has the 3rd/4th most extensive public rail transport by mileage in the U.S. when LA Metro and Metrolink are added.
For a city its size it truly is world class rivaling NYC in economic and cultural importance and leaving the rest behind (LA has the world's 3rd largest metro GDP after Tokyo and NYC).
@Paul D Great exodus? There's a very insignificant net loss (its also adding people as others leave)--its not seeing the same loss of people however that you are seeing from San Francisco and NYC currently post-Covid19.
LA is one of the major cities that's remained stable. Like SF and NYC, LA metro has the most expensive real estate in the U.S. (in fact on average more expensive than NYC metro), and that has more to do with people leaving (a victim of its own success unlike say Detroit or Chicago with falling real estate prices as people leave) to neighboring Nevada, Arizona, and to Texas where real estate is much much cheaper (and this has been happening for decades even under Republican leadership just because of how much more expensive it is in CA; its not a recent trend). However as mentioned, unlike SF and NYC its not losing as many people (and in fact is gaining more residents with a masters degree or higher). Having visited NYC (and Boston, DC, etc.) and having long had family in SF I can see why this is happening. However, the situation in LA is not the same (there are still bidding wars on houses and real estate prices are stable or even still rising unlike in these other cities).
I love your videos! We are very frugal and have little kids so I love that you include things that are almost free, food related, and easy to walk around. The kids would love these places.
For all you saying "yOu LeFt ThIs tHiNg oUt!" Los Angeles is so absolutely massive and jampacked that it would take literal days to list every single thing this town has to offer. And that wouldn't even include the Greater L.A. area outside of the city lines. OR even acknowledging Orange County, which has EVEN MORE crazy shit.
this is just DTLA tho
Expect to be spending a ton of time in the car tho.
And that the arts district is the number one reason for gentrification in Los Angeles
And the cathedral is not old
Best and most diverse city in the world by far 😎

Love this! I live in San Diego and love coming up to LA. Glad I've got all these new places to explore
Growing up and living in LA you forget how amazing our home is. Thanks for giving me some new places to check out, I’ve been to most of your recommendations but there’s a few new ones you’ve open my eyes to. 👍🏽
The ramen spot you mentioned is amazing also the intercontinental is absolutely beautiful and the food was A+ with the best view in Los Angeles.
Kendall J thanks for the comment! I agree the InterContinental and ramen are both epic. Glad you found some new places to check out!
Kendall J Foreals I didn't know about these spots in downtown LA.
Intercontinental is by far an amazing hotel best views in Los Angeles. Great spot to take a date. Best sushi in Los Angeles is crazy rocking sushi on Labrea and Santa Monica Blvd.
The sky bar?
@@eliokyle8000 if you think that's the best sushi your crazy it's just a chain restraunt its litterally everywhere
City hall is a great place to celebrate New Years! Amazing live music, DJ sets, and great food
Great job. I lived in DTLA for eight years, and over time I bicycled to pretty much each stop on your list. Watching your video was a nice trio down Memory Lane Thank you.
This is exactly what I was looking for. Thank you for delivering all this information in a concise manner. You rock! 🤘🏼
I occasionally take my English students around DTLA, and you covered everywhere I take them, plus.
I will definitely be checking out Smorgasborg next time.
Thanks!
I'am from San Diego. We also have great places to discover. But recently I visited Los Angeles and really enjoyed my stay! I recommend J. Paul Getty's Art Museum! 😍
Thanks for taking the time to give us a list of great places to see! It's fabulous!
great video. I lived in LA when i was in College and i never knew most of the places. which makes me sad, but happy cause i have a reason to go back to.
This is the best vídeo to know what to do in LA. Thanks for sharing!
Thank you so much 💕 We've been pulling our hair searching for places to take my cousin without stretching the budget.
Nice vlog. Thanks for mentioning Union Station which is beautiful and one of our favorite LA locations
More than I saw in 30 years of watching TV. Thanks !
Happy to help!
That first Hollywood sign reveal was awesome!
Excellent presentation. I was born in Riverside California but moved to the east coast at Age 4. I have not returned but plan to in a few years. Great list of things to do!
This video gave me as well as everybody else a good insight on what to do in LA prior of visiting! Especially if people who aren't familiar with the coming attractions as well as not based what they hear/see on different types of outputs that's sometimes false. It gives them an idea on what to expect and not be surprised. Can't wait for a lot more on what LA has to offer! Please come up with a whole lot more placers (I think 23 would be enough for now) if you can! Thank you!
I live in LA and you did an awesome job with your list
That awesome feeling of accomplishment when u know you've visited some of these places😎😎 I would also recommend visiting LACMA the museum in downtown LA, and definitely GRIFFITH PARK to spot and look over the whole city of LA
A lot of great places! I just moved here to LA and now I have an amazing list to choose from. Thanks for making this video!
I left LA and moved back home to BROOKLYN, NY but 2 of our daughters still live and work in LA. This was SOOOOO informative. Most of these places I'd never seen in the 16 years I lived in LA. And of course there were places that I visited, like the Hollywood Sign after walking up the trail in Griffith Park. But this was something to see and thank you so much for the "tour". I'll let my daughters know and take them to some of these places when next I visit Los Angeles.
best video i have seen!!! totally new things i didnt know of and i have lived in LA my whole life!
Thank you, I appreciate that!

Fantastic Guide! I can't wait to go and see the places I've not been to before! Great that you added things about parking and wait times for some of the places. I wish every city had a video guide like this. Very well done!

We're headed there in mid-August for a day and a half stay and were wondering what to do. Thank you for an articulate well thought out list of interesting things that aren't the usual tourist stuff. There are so many to choose from, we'll try to cram several into our short stay. Great job and you have a great voice and tempo for videos!!
Try for one or two! Remember traffic and parking takes a good long while!
Great video! Very informative and fun. Host has very friendly knowledgeable vibe. Thanks!
MY home town and I was not aware of #16!! My only item pending from your list! Great job!
