Lived in LA for 32 years, I can tell you to stay away from "Guisados" and "Trejos Tacos"(not mentioned here but, overrated). If you are looking for good tacos definitely go to "El Mercadito", you'll find great micheladas and at a good price,on the weekends you have live mariachi and sometimes karaoke too! This is located in East LA, near Boyle Heights. Well that's just one place I would recommend out of a lot more depending what you are looking for
There are a lot of good Mexican restaurants that also do ceviches, seafood cocktails, tortas, barbacoa, birrias, etc., but many are often in the suburbs north, east, and south of LA County, not necessarily in central LA or the Westside where Central American populations are more common--and the areas tourists visit most as shown in the video.
I AM COMING TO CALIFORNIA THIS SUMMER!!!! I've been following your channel for a year and a half in anticipation and i can't wait to build my up to date must see list! So glad I found your Chanel. I will be traveling to LA for a month in November/December from Cairns, Australia, with my 2 teenage boys, and you've definitely given me alot of ideas of things to keep us busy. I'll be watching more of your videos.
Wow, thank you for taking the time and effort to show all of these places. Looking really forward to see it IRL as played a bit of GTA V as well. Really clear video and nice editing! 😎👍
It’s so crazy to see echo park as a place to visit now. I grew up there and back then it definitely wasn’t a place to go visit. Glad to see times have changed.
Great job focusing on the highlights of my hometown. It would be great to see East LA added - with a spotlight on the Lowrider festival and the popular Gypsy Rose Great focus on Griffith Park - just missing the Wisdom Tree and the Old Zoo. Food - Missing the iconic Musso and Franks, Tommy's Burgers and Canter's Deli The Huntington Library & Botanical Gardens - in South Pasadena is amazing! It's amazing how many cool places there are in Los Angeles... you could literally make a mini-series (hey... that would be amazing if you did something like that! ) Thanks again for the great highlights! I really enjoyed watching it.
Some of my favorite places to visit are: The charming town of Manhattan Beach, The huge estate of the Huntington Gardens and Art Museum in San Marino and the LA Arboretum in Arcadia.
The day the space shuttle Endeavour came to L.A., after they flew it all over California on the back of a 747. I was working on a 6 story building in Glendale, I was at the top on the outside, and it flew right over me. It was only a few thousand feet above me. I like that you put In n Out Burger at the number one spot.

Nice vid. Been to all of these and still loving revisiting. I'm with you on the museums. You can spend a lifetime and not see the same thing. Would suggest Johnny's for pastrami on Sepulveda near LAX, around the corner from Tito's Tacos. Great pickles too.
You should also mention The Grove and Farmers Market. I live in Vegas so I go to LA all the time, only a 40 min flight/4 hour drive. The Grove is a really great vibe, especially in the evening. Very clean and Farmers Market offers great food. Highly recommend

The Adventures of Zoom and Bettie practically the worse of it goes from something that should be 30 minutes to grueling traffic turning it to hour and a half
@ Yeah, I work in constructions - on my way to work at 6am the travel time on my motorbike it 10 minutes - on the way home it blows out to about 25-30min. Used to be "peak hour" now that hour lasts at least 4 hours minimum. But at least us dealing with this made LA not seem to bad haha
Great video. Loved my trip to LA in November. Sunset strip is a must for all fans of rock and roll or cocktails. Plenty of bars and clubs and full of 80s metal history
Thank you for this gift! I'm heading in LA in February and certainly I'll use some of these sugestions, very happy with this travel! Hi from São Paulo Brazil! Tks!!
I'm really enjoying your videos. Thanks for talking the time to make them. We hit up Sturtevant falls last week and going to checkout the other falls in socal. We've visited most of these places but will hit up Malibu, and IN-n-Out is definitely a great addition to the video.
I've lived here my whole life and I guess you can say as a native, I'm never really phased that we have these famous locations nearby. I can honestly say I often forget or even unaware of some of them. But still its always fun to check em out. There are many other little hidden gems that I know many tourists would love to visit...Like Walt Disney's Carousel in Griffith Park, the Old Abandoned L.A. Zoo,...many others in fact...
OHH so many great places. I'm definitely going to take some of the set tours because I think we'll really enjoy them. THANK YOU Note: my understanding is that Dia de Los Muertos is a multi-day celebration starting on Halloween and ending the following Saturday. Most festivities are held on the weekend. I've attended the local festival in Santa Ana, CA for the past 5 years and its tons of fun. The LA one has to be amazing.
The Adamson House in Malibu is Malibu's oldest home and is on the National Register Of Historic Places. It sits right on the ocean next to the Malibu Pier. Walking the grounds is free and a guided tour of the interior of the home is only $7. Great video by the way.
You always do a great job at creating your videos! LOL love how at the Hollywood Walk of fame part you say to park in the mall structure. GOOD advice, because anywhere outside of that lot is sketch. Can’t wait to keep seeing more videos!
Another great place to visit is the Santa Anita Park: it's a horse racing track in Arcadia. It's very nice. And, another good place to visit is The Huntington Library, Art Collections, and Botanical Gardens in San Marino. It's a very beautiful place with lots of history, paintings, gardens, etc. These are my recommendations :)
As a southern California native, and someone that lives in orange county, and loves to visit LA, I would highly recommend getting to know the public transportation system, which is awesome. Most of the places that you have recommended, are available, within walking distance of a metro station. On the weekend, you can take Metrolink and metro for $10. I believe you need to take metro link to get the $10 cost, which also includes the buses of Los Angeles.
What a great video! You put a ton of research into everything. I visited over 10 years ago, but am planning on visiting again this August. Santa Monica, VB and of Course Dodger Stadium, is already on my List. But I just added a ton more after watching this. Thanks Man!!
Also, what about the swap meets? Los Angeles has the swap meets. Rose bowl is great, but there are so many others. If you need basic household good, Rosemead is good and I hear about one called the tiki near Clairmont which has all the antiques. Oh please do video about swap meets and thrifting!
@@Red-pt6rs It depends. Food is cheaper but also fresher in LA than NYC. Rent is more expensive in NYC metro than LA metro, but if you are looking to buy a house, its more expensive in LA metro than NYC metro. In fact LA has the 2nd most expensive homes for purchase in the continental U.S. after the San Francisco Bay Area. Also if you purchase and maintain a car in LA that's a big added expense many New Yorkers don't have.
I have to say, you guys are the best channel, period on things to do in California! I used you a lot in my research for our So Cal trip! Your San Diego vid was on point!
Hey Josh, two places I would add that don't ever seem to get much attention in these types of videos are taking the drive up to Mt. Wilson to see the observatory up there and just the stunning view of LA from there (it's practically like having an aerial view of the whole area), and also Angels Gate Park in San Pedro and the Korean Friendship Bell that is there. Also I'd throw in Pasadena in general (some great eateries over there), and especially the whole Rose Bowl area. Great list otherwise though and I love your videos!
Really appreciate the comment. I have been up Mt Wilson many times and that would have been a great suggestion for this list as you said. Also, San Pedro and Pasadena are both great suggestions as well. Thanks for the comment!
Angels Gate Park in Pedro is amazing and if your going that far I would recommend Long Beach with all it's sights including the Queen Mary. Also If you go to Pasadena check out Alhambra right next door for the cheapest and best Asian food in LA

I have access to informations from high ranked Hells Angels and Bloods. They will deny this until it is done but don't wait until it is too late to prevent what is coming so let your leaders know about. You must save the work of your ancestors by boycotting and killing your local Hells Angels and Bloods members, high ranked, chapter leaders and leaders as soon as possible, the higher rank the better. This is located in East LA, near Boyle Heights. Well that's just one place I would recommend out of a lot more depending what you are looking for
Aaron V. YES OR ANY TRUCKS ON THE SIDE OF THE ROAD SOMETIMES
Guisados is expensive man😂
@@salami8252 I know, and the worst thing is that it ain't authentic! Lol
Frida in Cerritos and los compadres in Norwalk my favorite Mexican restaurants in the L A area
This is an amazing video, I appreciate your time doing these!
I AM COMING TO CALIFORNIA THIS SUMMER!!!! I've been following your channel for a year and a half in anticipation and i can't wait to build my up to date must see list! Thank you for making this video. I look forward to more videos on your channel, especially on San Fran, LA, and the PCH if you have new ones coming out!
In the winter, you should go to the high desert/mountains.
Oh nooooo!! I just saw your comment from 5 months ago that you were coming to CA this summer! Are you still coming? Or did it get corona-cancelled?
You are beautiful woman with a beautiful smile, I wish you all the best this year, how is the weather over there now
Moving in a month to Woodland Hills with my husband, learning more about Cali neighborhoods through you. thank you for your videos!
my recent fav spot is the huntington library & gardens in pasadena !!!
Great choice, I love that spot as well!
Good choice. Actually San Marino. Next door on California St. is Cal Tech. Love walking through the campus and visiting turtle pond. During the day I stop for an ice cream and nerd watch.
Mike Thanks for the tip!
Sarah Voshall It's so lovely there.
ME TOO! I never get tired of that place.
So glad I found your Chanel. I will be traveling to LA for a month in November/December from Cairns, Australia, with my 2 teenage boys, and you've definitely given me alot of ideas of things to keep us busy. I'll be watching more of your videos.
You are beautiful woman with a beautiful smile, I wish you all the best this year, how is the weather over there now
the way i’ve never been to rodeo drive bc i feel so weird going to a place like that. everyone having so much money and i’m just right there 🧍♀️lmaoo
Don't worry ..a lot of poser's as well
Wow, thank you for taking the time and effort to show all of these places. Looking really forward to see it IRL as played a bit of GTA V as well. Really clear video and nice editing! 😎👍
It’s so crazy to see echo park as a place to visit now. I grew up there and back then it definitely wasn’t a place to go visit. Glad to see times have changed.
It's because hipsters help gentrify it which raised the price of everything where lower class had to move.. Same as Eagle Rock.
Driving down Sunset BLVD at night is quite a sight as well.
Especially on Friday and Saturday for the clubs/bars (of course after COVID-19) the music history and the crowds coming out of the clubs after a show
The food scene is without question the best attraction of LA imo. Would love a video of top places. Love your videos btw.
Like green roofs ??
That was pretty amaze balls I’m definitely interested in visiting LA now
Great job focusing on the highlights of my hometown.
It would be great to see East LA added - with a spotlight on the Lowrider festival and the popular Gypsy Rose
Great focus on Griffith Park - just missing the Wisdom Tree and the Old Zoo.
Food - Missing the iconic Musso and Franks, Tommy's Burgers and Canter's Deli
The Huntington Library & Botanical Gardens - in South Pasadena is amazing!
It's amazing how many cool places there are in Los Angeles... you could literally make a mini-series (hey... that would be amazing if you did something like that! )
Thanks again for the great highlights! I really enjoyed watching it.
this was so in depth, I loved it. can't wait to visit now!
Some of my favorite places to visit are: The charming town of Manhattan Beach, The huge estate of the Huntington Gardens and Art Museum in San Marino and the LA Arboretum in Arcadia.
JC Summers same, the Huntington gardens in my favorite place in LA. It’s so beautiful
Yes its a great place to visit, it also has two famous paintings Blueboy and Pinkie that kind of match together.
Across the street from the Arboretum is Santa Anita horse racing track. A beautiful structure though many are upset over the number of horse deaths.
TAKYA what are the gardens called?
The day the space shuttle Endeavour came to L.A., after they flew it all over California on the back of a 747. I was working on a 6 story building in Glendale, I was at the top on the outside, and it flew right over me. It was only a few thousand feet above me. I like that you put In n Out Burger at the number one spot.
What "60 story building in Glendale"?
@@charleshappold4637 Colorado Blvd near the 5 freeway. Apartments. I just look at it on Google earth and it's a more like 5 floors. I just realized I put 60 instead of 6.
I'm a 27 year old from Lebanon and my dream is to one day live in LA.
I live near LA and I still watch all your videos to get ideas on what to do! You guys make the best videos!!
Alexandria Park As far as transportation what would you recommend? Im going to LA for a week in march and im not sure if i should get a rental or just uber or take a bus , etc... thank you!
Carolyn Silva LA transit can be a little confusing but it would be much cheaper than Uber..but Uber will be extremely expensive!!!! I would rent a car because you have to drive everywhere in LA, just keep in mind you have to pay for parking at many places :(
This made me so homesick!! Been living on the east coast since September 2018 (L.A. born and raised) and this just made me miss my friends and family back home. Plus all the good food!!!!!! And Disneyland!!
whyd u move😭😭
@@kiwi9660Fair question.
I’m a native and i feel you did an amazing job with this! I agree with every spot you chose and I’m lucky enough to have been to all of them. You made me miss home cause i moved out of state!!
First time viewers and I love your video-blog! Great information! Thank you!
You guys always do a great job on your videos- As a native of SoCal, you have definately hit all the high points...Cheers!
Thanks, I really appreciate that. I spent a lot of time on this one!
I ❤️LA, LA’s the Place. I’m a native Californian & pretty much been to all of those places. There’s a lot more to discover, great upload! Thanks for making this awesome video on Los Angeles. Keep up the good work.👏❤️
This is so weird it popped up In my recommended and I’m going here in a month 😂
Have fun ! You'll love it
and How is it?😂
@@bronzypond9369 It's good. Been living here for my whole life
You are beautiful woman with a beautiful smile, I wish you all the best this year, how is the weather over there now
it is really great to have a local to film and upload videos like this one. Good job.
The only thing that sucks is the traffic. Takes forever to get anywhere.
Taxes, crime, bad drivers, having to pay for parking everywhere you go. There are bad too.
We were there in October, and thought the traffic would be much worse than it actually was. We are from Melbourne Australia, and it wasn't too different to what we are used to at home
Guys of all the things that you said are worse here in philippines 😢
Great video. Loved my trip to LA in November. Sunset strip is a must for all fans of rock and roll or cocktails. Plenty of bars and clubs and full of 80s metal history
Guisados echo Park. One of my favorite tacos 🌮. I’m feeling a little homesick watching this video.
The tacos there are so good. I try to go other places in the area but it is hard to not go there haha.
California Through My Lens exactly. Great video.
Beautiful, splendid video.
Very Impressed after watching the entire video.
Thank you for this gift! I'm heading in LA in February and certainly I'll use some of these sugestions, very happy with this travel! Hi from São Paulo Brazil! Tks!!
So awesome, have a good time on your trip!
@@californiathroughmylens Thanks!! 😃
You are beautiful woman with a beautiful smile, I wish you all the best this year, how is the weather over there now
Your voice is so soothing ahha! Glad I've been to most of these before quarantine!!
I'm really enjoying your videos. Thanks for talking the time to make them. We hit up Sturtevant falls last week and going to checkout the other falls in socal. We've visited most of these places but will hit up Malibu, and IN-n-Out is definitely a great addition to the video.
I love moon shadow on Malibu. We went for a drink on my sister's bday and watched the sunset by the ocean. It was great!
Well done Josh! Very comprehensive and nicely shot!
Dude you rock!! I really appreciate your great posts.
Zoo,...many others in fact...
can you please tell me more about these hidden gems?
Do not go to the la zoo 💀
OHH so many great places. I'm definitely going to take some of the set tours because I think we'll really enjoy them. THANK YOU
Note: my understanding is that Dia de Los Muertos is a multi-day celebration starting on Halloween and ending the following Saturday.
I'm going to LA this year. This video has been really helpful. Thanks!! Can't wait to see all of those cool spots 😄
Same bro, I don’t know how I’m going to fit everything in
@@vola7342 😂 Either we need spend more time in LA or go there again.
Really wish to visit LA one day as it’s my bucket list !
We'll welcome you with open arms !
You always do a great job at creating your videos! LOL love how at the Hollywood Walk of fame part you say to park in the mall structure. GOOD advice, because anywhere outside of that lot is sketch. Can’t wait to keep seeing more videos!
What to do in LA: Visit Kobe Bryant’s statue when it’s built 😭
R.I.P Mamba 🥺
Jordan G.O.A.T.
Kobe's statue hasn't been built I guess. But he definitely stands for LA!
You are beautiful woman with a beautiful smile, I wish you all the best this year, how is the weather over there now
“High end shops where I can’t afford anything” 🤣🤣💀
Drop the IG 🥵
OMG THANK YOU! I used this for some help in my school project.
Also, what about the swap meets? Los Angeles has the swap meets. Rose bowl is great, but there are so many others. If you need basic household good, Rosemead is good and I hear about one called the tiki near Clairmont which has all the antiques. Oh please do video about swap meets and thrifting!
You are beautiful woman with a beautiful smile, I wish you all the best this year, how is the weather over there now
Has to be the Getty museum for me absolutely love that place fist class exhibits and outstanding views 👌
I'm glad I live here LA
Is it really expensive??
I live there too...
In gta 5 😭
slim shady yes it’s really expensive it’s more expensive than anywhere else in the US and rent is insane
@@leavemealone3304 more expensive then New York City?
The Hells Angels and the Bloods are planning to eradicate the Aryan Brotherhood, the Nazi Lowriders and the White Boy Posse by summer 2023 by taking out their hierarchy, high ranked and leaders to make their main ally the Bloods have less rivals so growing faster. It is time, tomorrow could be too late. They think that their targets will not realize and prevent their fall before it is too late then making their Hells Angels and Bloods alliance more powerful and influent but the informations went out unfortunately. Do you part to not let this happen, prove your worth! For your ancestors hard work and sacrifices and for the children's future!
Im here for the week. Imma write down all the recommendations and see which ones are open during quarantine.
Hello... what was open
Man you forgot the Korean Friendship Bell by San Pedro! The view there is so amazing.
