Thank you, Chris, for including Pluto in the list of planets. I ran into Pluto at Disneyland a while back and told him I was rootin’ for his planet, but he didn’t seem to understand me. I felt good about it, though.
Thanks for this great video! I was there a few weeks ago and this video helped me prepare for my trip :) Griffith Observatory is such an amazing location - I cannot believe I had never been there before.
Glad you showcased this. One of the best gems of Los Angeles in my opinion. Everything in California is so crowded now to visit. Glad that I did live there back in the 80's when it was not nearly as crowded as it is now.
awesome, thanks Chris. I was there 40-45 years ago, and what I remember most clearly was they were displaying actual moon rocks brought back from one of the Apollo missions.. really made an impression on me !!!!!
The Griffith Observatory looks cool! I have heard a lot of great things about it. For one sight which gets a lot of tourists, this definitely looks like a must-visit destination! I really like that you can get some iconic views of the city from there and also check out the observatory too.
You can park at the bottom at the Greek Theater lot and take the free shuttle bus to the top. No need to hike up. The shuttle bus starts at the Red Line Sunset Vermont Metro Station so the subway is also an option. They run every 1/2 hour.
Your description is so awesome , easy to understand and really really interesting. Probably you can explain a grey stone and it will be a Highlight. Thank you
Just wanted to say thank you so much for sharing this is amazing.i love in Ohio and being able to experience this is very cool peace ✌️ and love 💕 to all and God bless America
I absolutely agree: The Griffith Observatory (the gateway to the cosmos) and I might add the Getty Museum (the gateway to the culture) are among the very best (free) attractions in LA. As for paid attractions,/Theme Parks: I really like the Universal Studios, too; albeit, it offers a completely different experience.
One of the exhibits is the cloud changer which shows clouds every time a cosmic ray hits it. I particularly like this because it was one of the experiments we tried in school and of course no one got it to work . The monument outside consists of : Hipparchus ( don't know much about him), Copernicus ( put the sun in the center of the solar system, not earth), Galileo ( everyone knows him). Kepler ( three laws of planetary motion), Newton ( gravity) and Herschel ( discoveror of ...Uranus haha).
When we went to Kennedy Space Centre in Florida in 2014 we bought an astronaut costume for our youngest son Ben. It was orange though. They are so cute.
Griffith Observatory, um sonho conhecer um dia, descobri esse lugar atrás do filme Juventude Transviada com o ator James Dean e depois no especial da Adele, parabéns pelo vídeo 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
One of our favorite places to visit every time we’ve visited Los Angeles. Sunsets from the observatory are just beautiful. If there is a con it’s the traffic when leaving the observatory in the evening. It can take an hour or more just to leave the area.
Hi, really nice video. It will be my first time in Los Angeles (or say USA). How do I come to Griffith Observatory from Union Station using public transport? I am a budget traveller.
Now I´m thinking of that scene from Terminator where the punks get killed. "Your clothes. Give the to me now!" I know being a Terminator fan is a pretty shallow reason to want to visit there. There was also a Star Trek episode where they were in 1990s era LA with Sarah Silverman.
the lower / subfloors were added in 2000's. I would hate to be in the third subfloor - theater area when an earthquake occurred. Yes, griffith park has a seismograph on duty.
My husband was part of the team that designed the toilets there and some tourists wanted to take our children's picture infront of the building with them, LOL

Hah! Thanks Tarquin!
One of my favorite places ever. Last time I was there it was closed for a private event but the view was still awesome.
The nighttime view of the city from up there is truly spectacular.
So Chris, you finely did it... You travel until the "end of the universe" and just to show it for us. Thank you !!
Yes.. I'll go anywhere for you! :)
I don’t think that’s it’s the #1 attraction. Universal Studios Hollywood, Disney Land, Six Flags are usually attracting more people.
This is where i betrayed my friend on gta online LOL
Lol! 😂
Been there exactly two years ago. The views are amazing, especially at sunset! I really need another vacation trip to the US...
Awesome Ricardo!

Time to go back J!
Love to see all the young people (kids and adults under 25 or so) walking around.

For sure Ken. And this place is definitely an example of the crowding
Great video, great audio quality! Looking forward to visiting The Griffith Observatory.

The Getty is really cool!
@@YellowProductions: I really love the Getty Museum. :)
Love the Art Deco design of the thirties.
Definitely Nichole!
Art Deco genius!
I can see what you mean about the entrance..just a small innocuous door and then WOW !!
We parked at the bottom! Was a bit of a climb but a nice walk and you can stop and take pics of Hollywood sign
Wonderful . . .
Nice tour, but you missed the James Dean bust because they filmed part of Rebel Without A Cause right at the Griffith Observatory.
Like the great museums of NYC. LA has some great spots considering free admission

It's a nice scenic hike if you park down low
And good exercise 😀
@@YellowProductions I've seen rattlesnakes up there a few times 😲
When we went to Kennedy Space Centre in Florida in 2014 we bought an astronaut costume for our youngest son Ben. It was orange though. They are so cute.
Awesome Cathy!
Nice! Bob Moses did a live RUclips concert from Griffith Observatory during the pandemic on the Cercle RUclips channel.

Both good points about the great Sunset. And the awful traffic!
For those wanting to do the hike there's an Easy route or a Harder scenic route. The only difference is the amount of time it'll take (:
Both are just as hard? :)
Hi, really nice video. It will be my first time in Los Angeles (or say USA). How do I come to Griffith Observatory from Union Station using public transport? I am a budget traveller.
Take the metro B line from Union Station to Vermont/Sunset. From there, transfer to a bus that goes to the Observatory
What days are they open?
WOW LOS SANTOS
Didn't realise there was so much their! And did I notice you had non yellow trainers on?!?!?
Hah! I do wear shoes that aren't yellow occasionally :)
Wow, Yellow Productions is the best. I didn't know posted this video
Thanks Tri!
Rebel without a cause filmed a scene here. It was the knife fight scene. Jimmy (James Dean) fights Buzz
I was just up there but it was closed! Awesome view there.
Bummer
Hello! you forgot something doe's Rebel Without A Cause ring a bell James Dean!
Hello Chris, could you make a video tour of Palos Verdes' Ocean Trails Reserve?
I'll consider it Fred!
I'll be in Venice and Santa Monica sometime next week visiting friends. Definitely will take note of the Griffith Observatory. Thanks for sharing!

I'm surprised the place is still open after what happened there back in 1984.
Cheer~~~a room or building housing an astronomical telescope or other scientific equipment for the study of natural phenomena.😊
❤️❤️❤️
Well that was flash tour, you even missed the meteors and the earthquake measuring device. Must've been the parking fee!
Yes. My parking was running out ;)
Does anyone actually get to look through the telescope and see the planets?
Is it free park for handicapped?
Not to be rude but where do Handicapped ppl get free parking, if your asking if there's place to park yes buts it's all paid parking
