I love this format! Really well done! A little history, a little commentary and the food/drink recommendations to make it a total experience. Nice work! Great for those who have already done the typical Paris spots. Congratulations on the launch and I look forward to more.
👋🏼 Small struggling Travel Channel here. I love your content, thanks for this great video! You inspire me to keep grinding my channel, maby one day I’ll grow as big as you 🥲
I want to go back to Paris soooo bad. There's so much more to see. I'm obsessed with France. And I'm practicing my French and hope on my next visit I will be able to speak it.
I’ve never been in Saint Eustache. It’s fantastic ! Love that whole area around Sainte Etienne du Mont and the walk back down to the river. Cheers Jay!
Just back from a couple of days in Paris and used this video as our 'theme'. All amazing but St Chapelle blew our little socks off. Managed to catch the light show at St Eustache too. Thanks Jay.
Very nice video! A flight attendant commented under a Les Frenchies video that when asked about things to do in Paris, they recommend French it's and Paris in My Pocket! I remember watching your livestream of Notre Dame and crying when the spire collapsed - we had just been there lighting candles for relatives.
There's another church you didn't mention that I feel you should've: the Madeleine Church It's absolutely beautiful and huge. One of the most beautiful of Paris in my opinion. Looks like a huge roman temple
I saw it for the first time in person a month ago and was surprised because I became a bit emotional. It was so impressive. Visiting Paris was so surreal and can't wait to be back ❤️ Thank you for all your videos Jay 😊
Really like this new style of video. Quite different. I appreciate the creativity and hard work you put into your videos. Great job. jusqu'à la prochaine fois
Love the channel:) ND beautiful exterior, St. Chapelle gorgeous interior/stained glass, and St. Etienne Du Mont is next on my list. Congrats on the new channel!
Wonderful video! I ugly cried full body wracking sobs when I woke to see the fire. I am hoping it will be open when I visit but these things being on time are rare so this will help me get my fill! Especialy St Chapelle. Currently reading Pure by Andrew Miller, so I am looking forward to seeing the Archaeological crypt at the very least.
Two churches that I would put on this list are Saint Chapelle and St. Denis. Saint Chapelle is the most beautiful chapel you will ever see especially the upstairs church with the amazing stained glass. St. Denis has two claims to fame: it is the church where gothic architecture began, and it was the burial church of almost all the French monarchs. While the bones were despoiled at the revolution, the tombs themselves are still there and are amazing.
Why do I think the Paris in my Pocket needs to place stickers all over Paris I can collect like Space Invaders! And then Jay, you can track what places we all go to in your guide!
This is great... suggestion: you should also do a channel where you vlog about day-to-day life in Paris, muse on the creative process, share some joie de vivre, etc. I think it would be fun. 🙂
Thanks Jay. I am subscribed to Paris in my Pocket and trying to figure out how to get on my android phone. Is there an actual app that I haven't stumbled upon? Only access now on laptop and we love it..
Hi! parisinmypocket.com is an interactive website, not an app! :D Once you've made your purchase and registered your account you should be able to login on any browser on any device. If you run into difficulty, feel free to reach out to support@parisinmypocket.com. Thank you for your support!
Would you think staying by Les Halle area is not really recommended if you have a choice? Just want your opinion since we have reserved an Airbnb by rue Sebastopol area by Westfield mall..any input is appreciated..thanks !
Have the traditional cafés in Paris been disappearing? Great video but I didn’t see any sidewalk cafés and the idea of going to a chain coffee shop - like noir - in France is kind of depressing. I’m sure however that the coffee and pastries are good.
Noir is one of many specialty coffee shops popping up. Paris has been a black hole for coffee for a long time, and it's great to be able to get a quality one now. Don't worry - there are still tons of classic beautiful cafés and terraces to sit at and watch the world go by. It's a deep part of the culture here. :) We just won't be recommending them for coffee. But perhaps for a lemonade or a hot chocolate; it's still a quintessential French experience.
Opinions are split on this, it's actually really interesting! It might be because Saint-Louis-des-Invalides only officially became the cathedral of the diocese for the French armed forces in 1986: before then it was the Church of Saint-Louis-des-Invalides.
@@paris.in.my.pocket yes but still is a cathédrale (and has the size to be one) And there's also many other : american cathedral, orthodox cathedral, armenian cathedral, lebanese cathedral, ...
Or you can just go to the Cathedral in Strasbourg, it’s actually more impressive to begin with than the one in Paris. Plus you don’t have to deal with Parisians.

The stairs of the church of Saint-Etienne-du-Mont where Gil goes nightly to catch his magic car ride to the past. Love to movie.

This channel is an awesome extension of what you’ve built. It is so much easier to refer people to your Paris content. 🎉
Glad you think so!

Yes! Madeleine Church is beautiful, thank you for sharing it!
0:16 Cooper being all princely 👑 Btw I remember watching you livestream the fire, devastating to watch...
I remember it like it was yesterday
Can wait to try all these food spots when I go to Paris! Thanks Jay.
Hope you enjoy!
Thank you for doing these and keep doing them!
Glad you like them!

St chapelle is my favour it, but I’ve never been inside Notre Dame so I need to return when it reopens xx
Love this channel! Would like to suggest a candidate for an honorable mention: The Church of Sainte-Marie-Madeleine.
Love this one too!

Definitely thinking of revisiting the old game, which was very similar to what you're describing =)
My RUclips find of the year. #subscribed

Saint Augustin is my favorite ‘unknown’ church in Paris.
Go Cougs!! Hope my Husky friends don’t read that! Love your content! Planning for an upcoming trip
Have fun!

Les Halles isn't the best neighborhood to stay in, but even just a little north by metro Sentier - there are AMAZING eats and drinks nearby!
6:09 Classic Paris
7:55 Ironically, in a gurudwara, everyone is expected to cover their heads.

@@paris.in.my.pocket that’s really interesting! The cafe coffee used to be unmatched. Good to know they’re still thriving though.
Jay, "Rungis" is pronounced "Rein - Jisse" in French :)
As someone that has lived in Orléans for over 3 years… The orléanais have not forgotten about Saint Genevieve 😂😂😂
We've wondered!
11:49 I remember this place. #Bombadeeyay
FIRST 🎉
The channel has been officially launched yay
Are the church services in English?
Sure some do. We don't know much about it, but perhaps this article will help? htcml.com/english-speaking-churches-in-paris/

Notre dame isn't the only cathedral in Paris, there's also Saint Louis des Invalides and few others for differents cults

We love Paris and Parisians around here, but I've no doubt it's an impressive cathedral!
It also work the other way round : we won't have to deal with you, no matter how polite, charming and well brought up you seem to be 🙂
I’d rather go to Rome
Have fun there!
