I’ve followed Jay for several years - when his Paris in my Pocket was a pdf …. His knowledge, insight and perspective are second to none. This post is exceptional and bang on - as ALL his advice is. Great job Jay - been to Paris 5 times in 6 years and still wait for Jays posts - ahhh I’ve gotta get back!
Thanks a lot man , I have a 10 hr layover on November 4th and can’t wait . I was a little timid about this but feel more comfortable with your explanation and video
The last time I was in Paris was 2021, on a 6hour layover and I even had enough time to visit a few places I hadn't seen before... definitely enough time, especially if you're a brisk walker (and provided people move to the right side of escalators).
We have a 7 hour layover in a couple weeks. Our Plan is to take a taxi to Arc De Triomphe for a great overall view, get some food in 9e and then take a taxi back. We also just bought your guide!
"Your video was a lifesaver! After watching countless others, none were as helpful as yours. I followed everything you mentioned step by step, and it all worked perfectly. The only thing I wished for was a bit more detail about catching the train back to CDG. (Took Lola instead of JUJU) but overall, it was absolutely fantastic. Thanks to your guidance, I couldn't believe I was able to pull it off. Highly recommended! I'm at the gate, by the way, eating doughnut lol It's the first of the month the Arc was free:)
Awesome video. I always watch your videos when long for Paris and have Fernweh. Wish I could be there. Hope you have a wonderful day. Thank you for all you do.
Thank you! I followed the advice from your travel during the Olympic video. I downloaded the apps you recommended. It was a breezy experience to travel thru the Paris Olympic on a layover. I saved the hotel. I enjoyed the vibe during the games. It felt safer and cleaner during the games. Well done, Paris 🎉
That was great thankyou. 🙏 I have a sagestion . A tour of the paris churhes , la madeline is my favourite and rich in history. I would visit 2 to 3 churches a day whilst strolling through paris. Also indian town , its so authentic and some of the best indian food I ever eaten. I have been following you for years and you show paris soo well. Your onto something with you creating itinerys its going to boom . You have the right personality for it. Good luck. 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Is it ok to shoot a selfievideo/shots with your camera on a tripod? I'm scared because you mentioned pickpockets so I am worried someone might just run away with your tripod and phone lol
That was an inspiring layover visit in Paris. So much to see and so little time, but you show how it is done. Nice ! BTW, there’s a good Lebanese “bio” ice cream shop not far from where you were, on rue Tardieu near Place Suzanne Valadon in Montmartre (another on rue Rambuteau in the 3e), Glace Bachir. Have you checked ‘em out?
@@paris.in.my.pocket That is amazing, Jay! Tell the team they are doing a fantastic job keeping us enthralled with Paris! All the way from Washington DC!🇺🇸❤
Probably the easy mode, perhaps into medium depending on how the first part goes. Definitely be sure to check out the pdf with all the details, and check city mapper to day of to be sure there's no road work or delays!
when visiting for the first time, my then-girlfriend, who had been many times, insisted you had to run across traffic to the Arc de Triumph, as there was no other way. naturally we arrived in the center, barely alive, right at the exit of the stairs. I should have known then...

Thank you!!
I appreciate all of the hard work you put into this! Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
No kidding, the second this was release was exactly when I checked into my apartment for the next month here in Paris!
Woohoo!
Wow! That was work for you - thanks so much! Very fun and tension filled.
Such drama!
Wow, great video. So helpful and the perfect set of tips
Got my copy and love it. In Europe right now. Heading to Paris first week of September. Staying in the 12th and glad to read Jay’s opinions.
Thank you!
Such a fun video. Loving the adventure mode! Thank you!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Great video, thank tou! I have an 11 hour layover, 8am-7pm, in April. Definitely going to apply this to that trip.
Please report back! And double check there aren't train strikes and you leave enough time for security on the way back in ;)
Thanks a lot man , I have a 10 hr layover on November 4th and can’t wait . I was a little timid about this but feel more comfortable with your explanation and video
Wow 10 hours! You should definitely be able to do some of this in that timeframe. CDG is comfortable... but not 10 hour comfortable!
Accordion to Parisians, this is purr-fection
🥂🙏🥂

Thank you!
See Paris…the video game. I see hints are enabled. Is there an option to change the difficulty level? (Love the ‘casual’ crew following 😄)
Crikey you must have been shattered after that. Great video Jay. Yes the interior of the sacré cœur is a must. It’s fantastic!
It's tiring - thankfully most people will be able to sleep on a plane after!
I love you. Ending up at donuts. Perfect.
Thanks for the heads-up about the vegan donuts, will definitely be adding that place to the list on the next trip!
They're amazing
6:10 Hello, Cooper!
That looked fun and some great tips included. Good to see cute little Cooper 🥰
Thank you 🤗

Glad it was helpful!
What a great tip for a photo opportunity of the Sacre Ceur thanks Jay!!!
I hope to implement it in my next trip to Paris...
Glad it was helpful!
Love this video! Thank you for sharing your city and knowledge. ❤
Glad you enjoyed it!
What a great video! Inspiring. Donuts quite yummy!
So good!
That was great thankyou. 🙏

Thank you! Stay tuned - while it's not a church one (yet!) there are some itineraries that might be dropping soon....
Thank you for this and I hope I have a layover in Paris someday🤞🏽
Terrific video!!
Thank you!
What a great video man.
Glad you enjoyed it!
Can be done Jay but pretty stressful!
Depends on how long the layover is :D All the details are in the blog and pdf!
Awesome !! Never been to Paris and ain’t speaks the language so I’m a little nervous
Totally normal! It'll be great, you'll love it :D
Hope so thanks a lot 🎉
Well, that was fun! I'd still be a nervous wreck about the time. Ha Ha
Definitely worth leaving extra time on either end!
Is it ok to shoot a selfievideo/shots with your camera on a tripod? I'm scared because you mentioned pickpockets so I am worried someone might just run away with your tripod and phone lol
it's possible! hasn't happened to me yet, but it's always a risk when filming. Do what you've gotta do to get the shot!
Do you have to open the RER or metro app before you scan to get on the train
Nope! Just have your phone unlocked (it actually worked for me without unlocking it as well but that was on Android)
❤❤❤
Great video, even though the idea of only having 6 hours in Paris is tragic! 😃
Definitely recommend more!
for a minute, i thought you had a stalker !! 🤣😂 By the way, incredible video !

Jay awesome video as always. Until the arc of triumph scene, I was like “watch out Jay you’re being followed 😮”.
You have an intern?! Damn Jay, you are da boss now! 😂❤
We have a whole tiny team :) And love what interns bring to the table!
@@paris.in.my.pocket That is amazing, Jay! Tell the team they are doing a fantastic job keeping us enthralled with Paris! All the way from Washington DC!🇺🇸❤
That’s the emptiest RER B I’ve ever seen! Every time I’ve taken it, it’s been crammed with standing room only.
Sometimes we get lucky!
Entire layover is 6 hours coming in from Morocco, headed to ATL. Is Easy or Moderate mode possible with the time it takes with security?
Probably the easy mode, perhaps into medium depending on how the first part goes. Definitely be sure to check out the pdf with all the details, and check city mapper to day of to be sure there's no road work or delays!
just came back from Paris 2024, I would like to go back again. I missed few spots :(
Paris is worth several trips!
Donuts at the Airport sounds fun.
They're the best

haha not sure if that's a red flag for danger or green flag for fun!
@paris.in.my.pocket that's how I justified it. I chose...poorly
7:42 ATTENZIONE PICKPOCKET
Who is the girl in the white t shirt that seemed to follow you around everywhere you went?
Arianna and Faazil were both out with Jay and are members of our team ;)
👍😎
Extra tip : Arc de Triomphe is free for European citizens 25 and under !
Yess!
there is a blonde and some guy in a blue shirt following Jay everywhere
That's the team haha!
My anxiety would never let me past easy.
That's why it's an option :D But maybe opt for a full 2 weeks instead!
Very Bourne Identity, tourist version. 😏
3:18 Unfortunate acronym but ok
3:13 What about Apple Maps? 🤭 (jk)
“…excrete Parisian experience…” STOPPPPPPPP 😂
Bro take off your shirt!!!
Too chilly lately!
