You’re the most engaging host! Thank you for the fun tour and funny extras (it sounded like a song about pants while showing the Pantheon, dude wtf, sup babe, etc). We appreciate the tips on places to stop for a little sip and rest along the way. We hope you’ll keep on making your great videos, they’re all fab!
Ah we're not sure of getting to christmas markets this year in longform content, but any visits will be on instagram. Also, for all the information check out: parisjetaime.com/eng/article/christmas-markets-in-paris-a018
I went to the croissant #2 place in September! It was my first croissant experience - it was amazing! We got a coffee and sat in a park near the Notre Dame. Magical first morning in Paris.
Great video Jay! And congratulations on officially becoming a French citizen! I was wondering if Sacre Couer or Montmartre in general was going to make it in this video, but it makes sense that it needs a separate video. 😊
Im feeling so nostalgic after watching this video. I miss Paris ❤. I was there for 3 days the week before the Olympics and Jay's videos and Paris in my Pocket were instrumental in making my visit memorable. I want to come back so badly my heart hurts! Trinidad 🇹🇹
Great episode Jay! Jetlag killed us. Landed at CDG on a Thursday at 0845 and arrived in St Germain at 1100. Ate at Pizza Vesuvio, shopped at Smith's Bakery and Carrefour. Crashed in the apartment at 1400 and we woke up the Friday at 1300!!! Just in time to go to the Louvre. Luckily we still had 2 more weeks. We'll be back for Xmas '25!
Saint Chappell didn't used to be so busy. We went to Paris the first time in 2019 just after the Notre Dame fire. Such disappointment about that. While walking around in the area we stumbled upon Saint Chappell. Figured, why not go in and see what's up. Not a soul in sight. Had the whole chapel to ourselves. It was amazing! Went back last year and took my older sister to see Saint Chappell. We had bought timed entry months before arriving and still had an enormous line to wait in. Hopefully that will thin out once Notre Dame opens again. Hoping it will be open for our visit this April. And, yes, I do schedule every flight to Europe through CDG so we can take a week or so before or after the rest of the trip because Paris holds my heart. April will be after 14 days in Egypt. So excited to be going back to Paris. Truthfully, hubs and sister could just leave me in Paris and go on the Egypt without me. I would only regret it later, not while it's happening. 🙂
Tours are not currently on the agenda, though you never know! Sorry to say we don't have a coffee tour recommendation either. But if you're coffee conoisseurs you HAVE to reserve at Substance: www.substancecafe.com They do reservation only, 2 hour coffee tastings. Have been. It's fantastic!
I watch a lot of travel videos to prep for trips and I have to say that this is one of the best Ive ever seen - excellent useful information ! Ive been to Paris twice (2012 & 2019) but things change and this was a great primer. Im taking my grandson next year and we have to use our time well. Previously, we took the Roissy Bus from CDG to Opera...is that still the best way to get to the center of the city from CDG? Thanks
Thank you for your kind words! RoissyBus is still running, and if it works for you, go for it. Probably best for specifically being in that area. Otherwise the RER is a safe option, or a cab. It can depend on how much luggage you have as well. Definitely download the free itinerary as well!
Did they finally fix the elevator to the top of the Arc?! It hasn't worked the two times we made it to Paris... only to the gallery. Since I use a wheelchair now, I don't get to go all the way up.
So one of my friends was actually in Paris for the Olympics this summer and she was at the Place De La Concorde to watch the Women’s 3x3 basketball teams compete (we of course rooted for America since that’s our team.) She called me 20 minutes after the USA team finally won one of their games, and told me that she had just realized that Place De La Concorde was where Marie Antoinette was beheaded, and it slightly creeped her out to remember that. Being that here in America we’ve learned about other foreign countries’ histories….I do believe we learned about Marie Antoinette getting beheaded. So I wonder if any of the athletes who had games in that area, remembered learning about it and were possibly a bit sketched out.
It's wild! You do get used to it, but Place de la Concorde - which is so central and grand - saw more than 1,000 people beheaded during the revolution... not to make it even spookier! One of the great things about Paris, though, is that you're living in history. We love that - around every corner, there's something else.
I noticed that auto-tip feature on the card reader the last few trips. It's disappointing they're doing this as it's kinda confrontational - you feel bad not leaving a tip. So I just say "I'll leave a tip in cash" - and leave a few euros rather than a %
Definitely agree that any baguette or croissant tastes amazing for travelers coming from far away... for those staying a while, or on their 5th, 10th, 100th trip... all bakeries are definitely not created equal XD
How much does Amber charge for the lourve tour? and how far can we book with her? I am planning to go next year -- but maybe in August or November., Do we have to buy our own tickets when we go with her or does she handle that kind of stuff? Thank you in advance!
Hi Camille! We don't have all the answers to those questions - it will likely depend on the museum, tour length, and number of people. Amber is so so kind, though, definitely reach out to her via the email listed in our description. I'm sure she'd love to figure something out with you!
Please do a coffee based video, we have found France to be very hit and miss (more misses) with coffee, even the big cities are generally terrible, except for Marseille.
😎 video as always. By the way Milagro in Spanish is miracle. I don’t know if that’s why they name it that way or Milagro is also a common Spanish name?
Jay, I gotta say, this is wonderfully produced video! Wow!
Glad you enjoyed it!
Our Morning Jay is BACK!☕😃
☕🥰☕
Holy smokes, you've outdone yourself with this one, Jay. Possibly the most concise video of Paris info gold on RUclips
Thank you!

Thank you!
I like your video. I was in Paris 2 weeks ago and I saw that cafe where you were sitting. Now I’m back here in Tucson Arizona
Nicely done, Jay
Thanks!
Paris Tourism should hire your to make these videos.... Thanks so much Jay.
I wish!

So glad you found Sainte Chappelle last time you were here! And this time... Notre Dame should be open !
Any chance you’d do a private coffee tour?

Eiffel Tower Tip, reserve a restaurant so that you don't have to queue to go up the Eiffel tower.
Great tip!
Beautiful video. I enjoyed watching it. I love this place too.
I will subscribe to your channel. I want to follow your videos.
Thank you very much!
I’m heading there with my daughters for the first time and very nervous and anxious 😢
What are you nervous and anxious about?
Henri II - wife Catherine de Medici(s)
Henri IV -2nd wife Marie de Medici(s) .
(Error at Tuileries palace description) Simple chyron fix
Did they finally fix the elevator to the top of the Arc?! It hasn't worked the two times we made it to Paris... only to the gallery. Since I use a wheelchair now, I don't get to go all the way up.
Last time I asked, it was working - but I don't have any updates since then (this was a few months ago)

11:44: I wasn't expecting that from France
Surprising right?

Yeah, throws me every time
Oh there are sooo many amazing Parisian bakeries to go.
Any one will do .
Definitely agree that any baguette or croissant tastes amazing for travelers coming from far away... for those staying a while, or on their 5th, 10th, 100th trip... all bakeries are definitely not created equal XD

I remember the days when Jay would NOT recommend going up the Tour Eiffel. 🤣
This is more a Paris for first-timers video ;)
Please do a coffee based video, we have found France to be very hit and miss (more misses) with coffee, even the big cities are generally terrible, except for Marseille.
Oh coffee is our forté - have you checked out our instagram? We have so many posts on fantastic Paris coffee!
😎 video as always. By the way Milagro in Spanish is miracle. I don’t know if that’s why they name it that way or Milagro is also a common Spanish name?
