An overcoming obstacles series would be awesome for us Diyers! Thanks Chris, great video!
Recognizing issues, techniques to fix them and how to avoid the issue. TY Chris!
Came here to say this! Yes please.
Couldn't wait for this upload... Once again clear simple instructions and one person knowing what to do. God bless u Chris
Thank's brother!
Obstacles video would be cool. Things that come to my mind.
1. Found some scratches after starting base coat
2. Fish eyes that I can't just spray over. (how do you know of you can spray over )
3. Dirt etc in base coat that needs to be addressed
4. Runs in base
5. Runs in clear coat
6. Junk in clear coat that cut-n-buff can't fix
Been watching you for some time now, learn something every time and just like your style and approach. I work in a different industry but paint 3 or 4 areas of damage a year for family and friends. I will take on a project vehicle if the price is right. So watching people like you keeps it fresh. I enjoy whatever you put out. Thank You
I would love to see an Overcome series. Thanks again for your content
I'd love to see a video on overcoming obstacles. I'm not going to do it professionally, but I still want to do good work.
Noted!
Another great video Chris! I agree with others below on overcoming obstacles - YES Please.
👍
Nice job Chris! My 2016 Frontier does not have any flaking paint, yet. Now I know where to look for the bad spots and how to fix the issue. Greetings from Adrian, Mi.!
👍 Adrian! Right on!
Overcoming obstacles series would be amazing.
👍
Years ago I bought a slightly damaged hood and fender to practice on.
I'd go through all the stages - primer, blocking, base, clear and cut 'n buffing.
Made a HUGE difference in my confidence.
Thanks for the videos 👍
Great job I always enjoy watching you. I learn a lot. Thanks.
Another great video indeed all comes down to prep first then your on your way to succes.
Yes to the video series Chris! Thank you!
You got it!
Wouldn’t mind that my self. More of a fabricator but need a few project painted and have before just not in awhile and the steps would help alot
Amazing job on the truck Chris the finish is spot on with a nice OEM look, as always I loved all the content in the video with good info on what you were doing at each stage👌
As others have said it would be great to have a troubleshooting series on how to fix problems on the go🙏👍John UK
When spraying in the garage a must to wet the floor first to take care of overspray which would be stickie on the floor yes.
Thanks Chris for sharing that information great video very well explained cant wait to see the masking tape and film video 😊
Thanks for watching!
I love your vids and I have learned so much. I know you are a collision shop but why do not us an inflatable spray booth to elevate the paint and limit dust and such
How does this lvlp gun do on metallics with colors such as gold and silver?
An overcoming obstacles series would be very much appreciated!
Thanks,
Phillip Hall
Very nice..... turned out great !!
Thank's for the support!
👌👌👌
Great video. I am hearing more and more that newish cars are needing respray's from flaky paint. Any idea on why? Bad prep in the factory?
this might be a stupid question. how did you determine if you needed to blend the truck bed to the cab? but as always an awesome video.
How often do you replace that inline air filter? Is it time or use, I have not sprayed anything in about a year and wondered if I should replace mine.
Can you recommend a good 2 stage air compressor that can keep up with air sanders and sandblasting? Thank you
Looks like u stripped it pretty fast with the da.. what grit did u use??
👍👍👍💯💯💯
👍
I hate spraying white it’s so hard to see your coverage and before you know it sag or full on run! Do you think grounding a vehicle helped with dust? Thanks!
Is that a 3/8 hose or do you use 1/2 “ hose I have a 3/8 “ 80 gallon tank and just seen 1/2 today was just wondering the benefits to use 1/2 over 3/8
I've always used a 3/8, Not sure if there's a benifit in using a 1/2 or not.
I use body shops a lot being in the motor trade.. why does the paint chip of so easy on bumpers ?? Are they not prepping it correctly ?
A sealer and flex additive before basecoat really helps with that.
@@GarageNoise thanks, il be sure to ask them if there using this stuff next time !!
You don't like single stage?😮
I hate it.
Depends on the project but for durability and collision repair it's not a good option.
My daughter just got here truck back from a body shop after an accident. With your videos, I could do a better job than they did! Mismatched paint, runs, rough edges, chips from misalignment, splotchy color, cloudy clear coat. 😢😢😢
Yikes! Got have some pride in your work. Apparently they don't want repeat customers.
