PW is underrated so much, playing that on the psp back in the day was crazy. Showing everyone the staff and R&D, massive mission list etc not to mention the boss battles and event bosses PW online is gonna be lit in Vol 2 🙌
I will never stop thanking my 9 year old self picking up Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty for only $6 bucks at Gamestop used, with manual and everything. It's truly one of my biggest prized possessions.
Here’s a story for those who care. Growing up I used to see the old ps1 mgs case around without the second disc. I used to try booting up the first disc but it’d always freeze at the old Konami intro screen. When my tio had a ps2 I had first seen the snake eater case and thought nothing of it until til I heard the song for the first time. I was hooked but I never got to play it. A few years later my dad got mgs4 for the ps3, I still remember hearing him complain about not being able to get past the first area bc of all the cow machine. A few weeks later he died at his work and left the game stuck in the same level. WAY after his funeral and other things, I finally thought of playing the game and remembering how much he got mad. So I thought I’d try it out. That was the very start of my love for the series. I got more into it and into the game, in my head it was my mission to finish what he started. At a young age I didn’t have good game instincts, so it was challenging. During that time we were getting evicted bc of my mom and her friends so there was a long pause. Eventually I’d continue again and finish it at my grandparents house. I couldn’t believe when I got to the end, fighting liquid and hearing the past songs from past mgs games really made me realize that my dad played through all of them and I was witnessing history of what was and how it ends. I finished his fight. I still have the game til this day…just not the console anymore unfortunately, bc of my brother and sister that forced coins into the console and messed it up. Either ways I’ll always remember the past and how it all went down.
my older brother bought it for my 18th birthday earlier this year i love that fucking game so much,i'm gonna reinstall it once i have enough free space on my pc
I’m conflicted on mgs5 on one hand it helped settle the bridge between the big boos saga and the solid snake saga but on the other hand there are a lot of things that are unfinished and the second half of the game doesn’t flow that well (I also would’ve liked a few more maps but that’s just me) but overall I like it
(My slightly controversial ranking) MGS4 >> MGS3 > MGS5 (GZ and TPP) = MGS2 > MGSPW >> MGS1 MGS4 is a 10, 3 is a 9 or 9.5, 5 and 2 are both 8.5 - 8.8, PW is a 7, and 1 is a 6. Everything other than 1 is good, although my opinion on PW changes a lot. I couldn't tell you why I'm not a fan of 1, it just leaves a bad taste in my mouth whenever I play it. I've also played MGR, but my thoughts on it are very conflicted, and I can't really rank it. I love some aspects but absolutely hate others.
As someone who’s a huge fan of strategy games, I loveeeddddd Acid 1 and 2. Strangely canon, since the villain of Acid 2 is mentioned in the “Snake Tales” in MGS2, which obviously came first

Not only was it the first one I played (not intentional to start with that, just saw it on xplay and saw a used copy at a gamestore and thats how I started MGS). The main song, the song before you fight the shagohod, and the song at the end are masterpieces. Harry Gregson-Williams is amazing!

@@parkerdavidson5868 is it? I mean I agree personally but a ton of people trashed it especially when it came out
I’m so glad MGRR is getting the appreciation it deserves👏🏻❤️
Metal Gear Solid: Portable Ops is underrated...an HD remaster def should've been included in the Metal Gear Solid: HD Collection on PS3.
Yes, MGS2 is the best game of the series, and it's easily one of the greatest games that has ever been created, it's a beautiful piece of postmodern and cyberpunk art full of philosophy

Really? I reached the part where you play as raiden and i must confess i'm not a fan of his character, i get that he is supposed to be the opposite of snake, not the legendary soldier but the one in the making, as to have a more personal approach with us real players, but seriously he feels lame and boring as hell when he is not cutting everything to pieces, and i don't even want to start with the calls, they feel soo liveless and off putting, i know why this is but still.
i mean he's a rookie like snake in the first Metal Gear (MSX).
Agreed, then 3
@@SwordyplayrebelI really like raiden, and I love how unsettling Colonel cambel is in this game.
From the very first line he feels so robotic and it only gets more poignant now that celebrity deep fake audio ai is so prevalent in today's society.
It just made me laugh every time he said "I'll go look into that" everytine raiden asked him a question when you know he was just blowing him off. It was just a throw away line that even the real cambell used in mgs1 when he didn't want to tell snake/raiden something. And it's even worse when it's coming from a robot.
Also I love that raiden is big boss created through memetics rather than how solid snake was created through genetics.
It's the whole nature Vs nurture. And it shows how we can be shaped just as much by our experiences as we are from our genes and where we come from.
Also if you view raiden as being nothing more than an puppet for the patriots right from the get go with no will or knowledge of his own, it helps keep everything in perspective throughout the whole of mgs2 and let's you appreciate it more.
Woah hey woah, I loved Acid when it came out. The graphics at the time on a handheld was something else!
This was awesome haha! Though I would change Twin Snakes to a Charlie ""Woooo!" I love that game, though.
Glad revengeance got some love lol. It might not be "traditional metal gear" but it's good campy fun all the same and I've grown to love it over the years
For me it's the best one
bro really said ''WOOOOOO'' to a demo game (MGSV GZ)
i mean it is a pretty good demo right? HAHA
@@liquidcnake but is it worth £40?
I paid £40 for the game when it released
@@iqraahmed830 does the price make the game worse??
@@patrikskoglund5169 nah, just most demo's are free
@@iqraahmed830 its not a demo. Have you played a demo before? A demo is a part of a game (usually the beginning) that you can play for free. Ground zeroes is a stand alone game. Just because its short does not mean its a demo lol
Revengeance was made at a time when video game companies were still making video games for fun and not for money… well minus Skyrim of course and Call of Duty those two knew that they could cash grab themselves
Because Skyrim and Black Ops 1 are THE GOAT, THE GOAT
That's why they knew they could make a lot of money : CoD selling CoD games, and Skyrim being the RPG of the 2010 decade
If you think Skyrim was made just for money you must be actually insane....
@@wisemankugelmemicus1701 oh no, of course not, at least not on the first three releases of the game but now that there’s like almost 11 different versions to buy and it’s the same exact game that’s a cash grab. That’s also why I said they knew that they *could* be cash grabs because they Openly made it with care, but they had the choice to make into cash grab because it was so good.
no kidding them mofos have been selling themselves beyond the grave basically
@@jaidynallen3847 Skyrim is being resold to maintain interest in the Elder Scrolls. It is literally the top selling singleplayer game ever made. Its not even close.
RULES OF NATURE!

im still in pain over Peace Walker being the only one I havent gotten to play
Love that revengence gets the respect it deserves
MGS4 was a MASTERPIECE
I can't count on both hands how many times I beat that game and still wasn't tired of playing it
Same here!
it wasnt like the first 3 games it was a downgrade
@@جمالالعسيري-س8طnah the downgrade was mgs5 that game is super boring. Mgs4 was one of the most fun
the best part of mgs4 is playing the last difficulty as a pacifist. Had so much fun doing that. I love the octocamo.
The fight scene on top of the submarine while snake eater plays in the background makes me cry
You know MGS3 was special when you can spend 5 minutes climbing a ladder and love every second of it
Hideo Kojima's power.
that ending lol
This review clip was ….perfect. Down to the last minute detail.
I just completed mgs4 and it is without a doubt my favourite game of all time the voice acting and choreography and how it ties the narrative together will never be beat.
I think big boss sums it up perfectly
“This is good isn’t it”
mgr defined society with literally one sentence from a boss
“Memes, the DNA of the soul”
MGS2 as well
5 needed to be the “I mean it’s alright”, you could feel the magic that made the previous games so good was missing.
Lol! I literally just said that too 😂😂
@@Keyblademster great minds think alike

Metal gear solid 1 was LITERALLY perfect
I've never even seen that last clip! Fair, though!
PW is underrated so much, playing that on the psp back in the day was crazy. Showing everyone the staff and R&D, massive mission list etc not to mention the boss battles and event bosses PW online is gonna be lit in Vol 2 🙌
Portable ops for PSP was awesome
I totally agree except I think 3 is also goated
should've cut critikals scream abruptly at mgsv
Lol
I will never stop thanking my 9 year old self picking up Metal Gear Solid 2 Sons of Liberty for only $6 bucks at Gamestop used, with manual and everything. It's truly one of my biggest prized possessions.
The absolute 180 MGS2 made over the years. So glad to see people adoring this game more and more!
Gotta love that Phantom Pain is getting the love it deserves. I mean, I know it's far from being perfect but it is still an amazing game
It’s terrible
TRUE. FLAWLESS. ACCURATE!!!
No lol
This list will never be flawless or accurate for as long as Rising is ranked above Guns of the Patriots.
twin snakes is the one of the best ever remake and i fully played it and enjoyed it thanks to the dolphin emulator
mgs4 was literally perfection i love it with all my heart it was also the first mgs i ever played so just even more special
Rising was my first M-rated game, I got it this year, came for the memes, stayed for the masterpiece of a game it is
my older brother bought it for my 18th birthday earlier this year
i love that fucking game so much,i'm gonna reinstall it once i have enough free space on my pc
Metal gear Solid 3: es la perfección en juego...
Revengeance made a permanent dent in my brain
But it was really good, yes, i like it
I'm shedding a tear of joy because I've finally found a man of culture who can appreciate metal gear rising and it restores my hope for humanity
Sacrilege to call ghost babel ‘alright’ - fantastic gameplay and a real feat for handheld gaming!
I’m conflicted on mgs5 on one hand it helped settle the bridge between the big boos saga and the solid snake saga but on the other hand there are a lot of things that are unfinished and the second half of the game doesn’t flow that well (I also would’ve liked a few more maps but that’s just me) but overall I like it
GOAT GEAR SOLID
Goat simulator 6
The GOAT baby
This is the most accurate yet
Nice original video there mate
Instant thumbs up for saying Metal Gear Rising was perfect.
(My slightly controversial ranking) MGS4 >> MGS3 > MGS5 (GZ and TPP) = MGS2 > MGSPW >> MGS1
MGS4 is a 10, 3 is a 9 or 9.5, 5 and 2 are both 8.5 - 8.8, PW is a 7, and 1 is a 6.
Who says rising is perfect is a lie
Any game from the Big Boss Saga is always the goat for me. Next comes the Solid saga and after, its Raiden
As someone who’s a huge fan of strategy games, I loveeeddddd Acid 1 and 2. Strangely canon, since the villain of Acid 2 is mentioned in the “Snake Tales” in MGS2, which obviously came first
Twin snakes is fucking awesome. Its MGS1 with MGS2 gameplay and bonus cinematics.
Yeah thank you Liquid felt more refined and intriguing compared to MGS1
MGS2 is objectively the best
#Stophatingmgs2
This just seems like a tier list with extra steps. But also correct.
Spot on. MGS2 may be a bit forgotten now and less fun to play than MGS3, but when it came out the story turned out to be a philosophical milestone for a generation of players
Metal gear rising was perfect
One of these videos is actually 100% correct for once.
Mgs4 be like: 20 hour of cutscenes for 0,501 seconds of gameplay
Mgs was originally going to be called Metal gear 3, Hideo called it solid because metal gear before it wasn’t so popular
It's popular in Japan but the rest of the world, nope and yes he was gonna name it Metal Gear 3.
I just replayed MGS3, but on the collection on PS5. I forgot how much I love that game. Not only was it the first one I played (not intentional to start with that, just saw it on xplay and saw a used copy at a gamestore and thats how I started MGS). The main song, the song before you fight the shagohod, and the song at the end are masterpieces. Harry Gregson-Williams is amazing!
