I went back and analyzed everything. 1) he racked the bar high on his shoulders. This makes the lift much harder. 2) he stayed vertical on all reps. Nothing but major quad strength and tremendous core strength. 3) his depth was well below parallel. And lastly no belt and I think no knee wraps, which makes this a feat that very few humans can do. Barkley will end up being a legend along side Walter Peyton and Barry Sanders.

    • @JS_the_2nd

Where the bar sits on your back doesn’t determine the intensity of the lift. Low bar vs High bar makes no difference

If you can't balance the weight by yourself or lift it by yourself you have no business grinding out reps while your coach lifts the weight for you. This video is no different than those videos of mediocre chumps I see, loading the bar up and either doing quarter squats or just dumping the weight forwards onto the pins once they realize they are stuck in the hole and can't get back out.
The only reason he isn't on one of those lifting fail compilations is that the coach saved him on the bulk of his reps.
